General Hospital Comings & Goings: Another Temporary Recast Steps In
Expect a new look for a familiar character on General Hospital on Wednesday, June 17. On that episode only, the role of Scout Cain will be played by Reagan Park. She is filling in for Cosette Abinante, who until recently was on recurring status as Scout but was unavailable to film that day.
Temporary Recast for Scout
Park’s time in the role of Scout will be brief, but as previously reported, Scout has been permanently recast. The actress selected to take over the role on a regular basis, Kayden Brenna Tokarski, won’t be making her Port Charles debut until next month.
Scout, the daughter of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and the late Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), was born on screen in 2017 and has been played by Abinante since 2022. When Tokarski joins the GH ranks in July, the character of Scout will be aged up. In real life, Tokarski is 16.
The show is no stranger to enlisting temporary pinch-hitters when its regular cast is unavailable to film. Earlier this year, for example, Patrick Scott Lewis briefly assumed the role of Ezra Boyle when the East Coast-based Daniel Cosgrove was snowed in and unable to travel to GH’s Los Angeles studio. In 2025, Days of Our Lives alum Guy Wilson (ex-Will Horton) subbed in for Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer for several episodes, and Nicole Paggi took over as Maxie Jones for a stint before Kirsten Storms went on hiatus from the role.
Tokarski is just one of a flurry of new hires GH has made in recent weeks. On July 13, viewers will catch their first glimpse of Dean Geyer in the role of Tristan Roberts. That same month, Serena Baldwin will come home to Port Charles in the form of Kelly Kruger (ex-Mackenzie, The Young & the Restless), and Troy Lennon Appel will join the cast as mysterious businessman Hudson.
