DAYS Airs Special April Fool’s Day Episode
Tune in today, April 1, for a very special episode of DAYS. Shawn Christian (ex-Daniel), Greg Rikkart (ex-Leo; Kevin, Y&R) and Tionne Watkins (ex-Sheila) will make appearances on the show. Christian and real-life love, Arianne Zucker (Nicole) will be live on Instagram during the broadcast (go to https://www.instagram.com/p/B-bR8oLHGfF/ for more). “It is something that I toyed around with in the past, of somehow working April Fool’s Day into an episode,” Head Writer Ron Carlivati tells Digest. “I can tell you that we wrote a hilarious episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL once and wrote an entire outline that was an April Fool’s Day show, and in the end, for various reasons, it did not get produced. The whole thing culminated at the disco where all the different stories came together and then at the very end, somebody turns to the camera and is like, ‘April Fool’s!’ and none of it was real. Anyway, when we’re able to, I like to have these little episodes that are maybe a little bit stand-alone, like we do on Halloween or on a special holiday. We just decided, ‘Well, is there some way to kind of work an April Fool’s Day-type prank into the episode?’ I don’t want to give away too much about it, but it is a special show.”
