John Aniston

Born John Anastassakis on the island of Crete in Greece, John Aniston emigrated to the United States with his family when he was 10. Beginning his acting career on stage, he made his daytime debut playing Dr. Eric Richards on Days of Our Lives in 1970. From 1975-78, he played Eddie Aleata on Love of Life, then from 1980-84, he joined the cast of Search for Tomorrow as Martin Tourneur. In 1985, the actor returned to DAYS in the role of Victor Kirakis, which he played until his death in 2022. Before he passed, Aniston received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Daytime Emmys. During his career, Aniston also appeared in prime-time series like Diagnosis Murder, The West Wing, and Mad Men. He fathered two children, Jennifer and Alexander Aniston.
