Chandler Massey

Role Will, DAYS

Show Days Of Our Lives

The 411

BIRTHDATE: September 10

YEARS ON SHOW: December 2009 to present

Chandler Massey, the oldest of three children, was raised in a political household in Atlanta (his father is successful corporate lobbyist Lewis Massey, who was once the Secretary of State of Georgia and his grandfather, Abit, was also a well-known lobbyist), but he always felt most comfortable on a different kind of stage.

After he appeared in his first school play in fifth grade (The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn), Massey was drawn to the spotlight and joined the drama club at Norcross High School. “As I grew up, it was kind of just like an instinctive thing. My family was actually very supportive,” he shares.

Massey headed for the West Coast in 2009 after graduation and majored in Mandarin Chinese at UCLA while pursuing an acting career on the side. “It seemed like some big adventure,” he recalls. He quickly landed guest appearances in prime-time shows ARMY WIVES, ONE TREE HILL and FX’s baseball-centric comedy EASTBOUND AND DOWN (“I was the hot shot high school pitcher that Kenny Powers is really jealous of. It was awesome!” Massey reports.) Then, one quarter into his freshman year, he landed the contract role of Sami’s son, Will on DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

The actor resides in Los Angeles with real-life pal and co-star Casey Jon Deidrick (Chad, DAYS). In 2011, he’ll appear in the teen romantic comedy, Smash.
