Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) on The Young and the Restless wore blue to renew her vows with Victor (Eric Braeden), but she isn’t the first soap bride to wear blue. In honor of her colorful Y&R wedding look, we’re looking back at 11 soap brides who wore blue wedding dresses, including Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) on Days of Our Lives, Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) on General Hospital, and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) on The Bold and the Beautiful.

  1. Ray MacDonnell and Mary Fickett as Joe and Ruth on All My Children, 1972
    ABC
    When Ruth Brent (Mary Fickett) became Mrs. Joe Martin (Ray MacDonnell) on All My Children in 1972, her ensemble was blue with pops of pink and yellow.

  2. DAYS edward mallory susan flannery
    NBC
    One of DAYS's earliest supercouples, Bill (Edward Mallory) and Laura Horton's (Susan Flannery) 1975 ceremony featured the bride in a floor-length blue gown.

  3. Scott Thompson Baker and Kristina Wagner as Colton and Felicia on General Hospital
    ABC
    On General Hospital, Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) opted for a short and sparkly blue number when she said, "I do" to Colton Shore (Scott Thompson Baker) in 1989.

  4. Stephen Nichols and Jacklyn Zeman as Stefan and Bobbie on GH

    In 1996, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) impulsively wed Stefan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols) after divorcing Tony Jones. "She wore a pale ice-blue dress, which said a lot about that marriage," Zeman chuckled to Soap Opera Digest in 2013.

    In 1999, when Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) pledged their troth on DAYS, she wore a traditional off-the-shoulder dress in a nontraditional, pale blue color — and Mattel manufactured a Barbie doll to match.

    For wedding number three for Guiding Light's signature duo, Reva Shayne (Kim Zimmer) and Josh Lewis (Robert Newman), the bride donned a bold blue dress with statement sleeves that Costume Designer Shawn Reeves later told Soap Opera Digest "went down a weird path."
