LAUGH LINES
Loren Lott (Ana, Y&R) reports that she and co-star Bryton James (Devon) found an instant rapport with each other. “We connected at my audition really fast,” marvels the actress. “We were so giggly together. I didn’t know why he was that giggly and then I learned later that he’s just a little giggle box. He’s always giggly but he’s also very professional. One of my favorite things about him is that anytime I hang out with him, he’s just like a brother to me. We went to the movies the other day and we were supposed to go with several people and everybody flaked so it ended up just being us. And because we waited so long, he fed me. Now, anytime anything like that happens, he feeds me. Bryton is always feeding me, which to me, is a real man and a true friend. I tell him all the time, I’m like, ‘I wish you were my brother in real life.’ ” There are times when the sibling sentiment feels a little too genuine. “I constantly talk to him about boys,” Lott confides. “He probably gets so disgusted and hates it but he’ll become such the annoying brother and say, ‘Ooh! You have a crush!’ We have so much fun. He’s the best.”
LUNCH BUDDIES
On one of Ingo Rademacher’s first days back to work on GH as Jax, he went out to lunch with old pals Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Laura Wright (Carly), and new buddy Wes Ramsey (Wes). “I absolutely approve of Wes!” Rademacher winks of Wright’s beau. “He and I have had a lot of time to chat; I spent a lot of time with him during the Nurses’ Ball [taping]. And I said to her after, ‘I am so happy for you.’ I actually told her way before that, many times, when I’ve seen them on Instagram, the little lovebirds. It’s so great to see. It’s just wonderful to see that your friends are happy. And then meeting Wes, we got along great. He’s an awesome guy. I liked him right away.”
CAR GUYS
B&B’s Scott Clifton (Liam) and his 3-year-old son, Ford, are both movie buffs. In fact, the Clifton men are especially passionate about automotive cinema. “Ford’s favorite movie is Cars, the Pixar movie,” the actor shares. “He just loves it. What’s funny is, I’ve tried to get him to watch other Pixar movies. I was sure he’d love Toy Story, which I thought would be his favorite. I mean, it’s about toys, for God’s sake! But he doesn’t care about Toy Story. He doesn’t care about Frozen. He doesn’t care about WALL•E. He likes Cars. I’ve seen that movie probably 100 times. Thankfully, it’s not a stupid movie. It’s actually a great movie with a great theme. He also likes Cars 3. Cars 2, however, we are not going to talk about. We’re going to pretend that one doesn’t exist. That is the black sheep of the Pixar empire, as far as I’m concerned, and we don’t need to acknowledge it.”
VALLEY IN
Robert Scott Wilson (Ben, DAYS) is grateful for the ALL MY CHILDREN reboot that introduced him to the soap genre as Pete in 2013. “ALL MY CHILDREN was amazing. If it wasn’t for ALL MY CHILDREN, I wouldn’t even be here,” he declares. “I think back on Jill Larson [ex-Opal], mainly. I loved those scenes with her. I would pull those scenes and use them with some of my stuff now because she is that good. When you work with really good actors, everybody around you elevates. Jill Larson is that.” Wilson says he and Sal Stowers (Lani; ex-Cassandra, AMC) will sometimes reminisce about their Pine Valley days. “We bring it up from time to time,” he notes. “When we don’t see each other for a while it’ll come up more. It’s crazy. One of the things that I [looked at recently] was one of our cast photos. We had this amazing photographer and stylist that came on. Everything just looked beautiful. They did this one shot of the younger crew. It was myself, Eric Nelsen [ex-AJ], Denyse Tontz [ex-Miranda], Jordan Lane Price [ex-Celia] and Sal. We’re in a bed. I was like, ‘Everybody on there is working right now.’ I don’t think it’s any coincidence that they put this little tribe together. I’m super-proud of everybody on there. They just gave me an awesome opportunity.”
