“Bryton James [Devon, far l.]. The things leading up to Mishael Morgan’s [ex-Hilary] exit, his work has been beautiful. In our dressing rooms, you can watch the feed of what they’re shooting on the set, so when I’m not working, I’ll watch what’s going on and Bryton has been fantastic. He really knocked those scenes out of the park.”

“Since I’ve recently been working more with Annika [Noelle, Hope, r.], I’m seeing a new side to her. She’s been playing the part for a little while now and she’s done a really good job of figuring out who Hope is. I admire what she has done with the role. She’s not second-guessing herself. She’s like, ‘This is me and I’m playing her this way.’ It’s always hard when you go in and replace someone. You walk that fine line of playing what they did but also putting yourself into it — and then there’s the fear of, ‘What are the fans going to say?’ But I think it has been really cool watching Annika take control of that character.”

“I think a lot of people have been knocking it out of the park lately. I like the dynamic right now between Robert [Scott Wilson, Ben] and Victoria [Konefal, Ciara]. It has the potential to, I think, really be a fantastic pairing. Whenever you can redeem a serial killer, I think that’s an uphill battle! I think Victoria has a heck of a work ethic, too, and has really brought the character of Ciara to a very healthy place.”

“Courtney Hope [Sally]. She and I never really got a chance to work together much when she first came to the show, but now that they’ve paired Wyatt with Sally, she is just amazing to watch. Courtney really brings it in every scene that she’s in, and she’s got a great, positive energy, which I think really comes through on the screen.”

“I’m not easily impressed, but I will say obviously Greg [Vaughan, Eric, r.], he just won the Emmy. He’s definitely not resting on his laurels. He came back and he’s hitting it harder than ever. I’m impressed by everybody, of course, but Greg especially.”

“Casey Moss [JJ, r.]. He’s really grown and he’s really surprising me.”

“I have to say Michelle Stafford [Nina, r.] and Wes Ramsey [Peter]. It was a joy to get to spend the past few months working with them. They both impressed me every day.”
