The Young and the Restless Spoilers Video: Will Nikki Be Able To See Again?

Comments

The Young and Restless spoilers video for the week of July 20 previews a veiled threat, the possibility of hope, and a dangerous situation on the horizon.

Looking for Trouble

Matt (Roger Howarth) has claimed to be done with the Newmans and everyone else in Genoa City and announced his exit. However, Nick (Joshua Morrow) clearly doesn’t take the villain at his word, and Sharon (Sharon Case) is concerned about what her ex might do to the man who has tortured their family for years. “You’re starting to scare me a little bit, Nick,” she remarks as he paces around The Shadow Room. “You said that you’ll make sure that Matt was gone for good. Tell me… that doesn’t mean what I think it does.”

It’s time for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to get her bandages off following the surgery to remove the mass pressing on her optic nerve. Dr. Nowling (Doug Tompos) removes the dressing and gently instructs his patient, “Okay, Nikki, it’s time. Open your eyes.” Nikki trembles and takes a deep breath to steel herself before doing so. She also has Victor (Eric Braeden) at her side, holding his wife’s hands reassuringly. When Nikki opens her eyes, will her vision be restored?

Diane (Susan Walters) may be relieved that Patty (Stacy Haiduk) is out of their hair, but she’s still worried that the psycho’s partner-in-crime, Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns), could still pose a threat to her and Jack (Peter Bergman). Looking for a possible lead on the shrink, she turns to Traci (Beth Maitland) for help. “Why do you want to be in contact with Martin Laurent?” a startled Traci asks.

Having seen books written by Dr. Alan Laurent in Markham’s home where she was held prisoner, Diane suggests that Markham might know Alan’s twin brother. “Because he might have a clue as to how to help us find the man who held me captive,” she explains. Diane is taken aback when Traci flatly declares, “He will never talk to you.” But then her expression turns hopeful as Traci adds, “But he might talk to me.” Traci must now brace herself to visit the man whom she nearly married, believing him to be his brother, Alan. Has prison changed Martin, or is he still a dangerous lunatic?
