Comments

The Tuesday, May 19, episode of General Hospital was full of must-see moments! Sonny (Maurice Benard) tried to help Justine (Nazneen Contractor) solve a dilemma, Joe (Jonathan Bennett) wasn’t sure if working for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was a good fit, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) faced her fears to bail out Curtis (Donnell Turner), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was prepared to ditch Carly (Laura Wright) to assist Anna (Finola Hughes), Gio (Giovanni Mazza) broke a promise to help a troubled Rocco (Finn Carr), and Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) caught Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) snooping around Wyndemere! Get the scoop below.

Moral Compass

Up in the apartment above Charlie’s, Justine confided in Sonny that she was torn over whether to prosecute Curtis due to her friendship with Jordan. He advised her to examine the facts and consider how she’d handle the case if they were strangers. Although the police report was clear that there was a case for assault — and depending on the situation with Isaiah’s hand, even egregious bodily harm — Justine still was unsure if she could betray her friend by prosecuting Jordan’s partner after all that Jordan had been through recently.

PCPD newcomer Det. Joe Fitzpatrick was ready to resign if Dante intended to bury Curtis’s arrest due to his connections around town. The commissioner assured his new hire that he didn’t run that kind of police department, adding that Joe had done his job with the arrest, and now it would be up to acting District Attorney Turner to decide if there was a case to prosecute.

In the interrogation room, Curtis filled Jordan in on his fight with Isaiah, including how Isaiah had taunted him by saying he’d be a better father to the baby than Curtis would be. Although she thought the situation was a bit more complicated than Curtis was letting on, Jordan agreed that Isaiah had provoked him. After she paid his bail, Jordan and Curtis headed home. He apologized for forcing her to go out in public before she was ready, but Jordan smiled as she declared she’d proven to herself that she could face the world. Curtis wanted to get ahead of the story before news of his arrest went public, but Jordan was sure that Justine wasn’t going to bring the case forward against him.

Rescue Me

Not knowing where Josslyn was, and with no way to confirm if Jack had sent her away now that he was unconscious, Carly and Valentin squabbled over Valentin’s proposal that she fabricate a cover story to explain Josslyn’s absence and wait it out. Carly was reluctant to pause her search for Josslyn given that Cullum or Sidwell might be involved in her disappearance. Their debate was paused when Valentin received a call on his burner phone from an associate who’d been keeping tabs on Anna.

After hanging up, Valentin fought back tears as he told Carly that Anna had escaped from the clinic and after a high-speed chase, she was being moved to a high-security facility for the criminally insane. Valentin blamed Cullum for Anna’s predicament and vehemently disagreed when Carly speculated that the move might be the best thing for Anna. Valentin declared that Anna was desperate and scared — and that he was going to go to France to break her out!

Desperate Times

As Emma struggled with the news of her grandmother’s deteriorating condition, Gio pointed out that Anna’s escape attempt proved she was still in there, fighting to break free. Meanwhile, Rocco got into another argument with Charlotte and Danny at the Quartermaine mansion as he tried to convince them not to break into Wyndemere. He threatened to call Lulu and Alexis if they didn’t abort their mission, but Danny called his bluff, scoffing that he knew Rocco would never turn on him.

Upset, Rocco then went to Emma’s house to speak with Gio. While Emma was in the other room, Rocco begged his brother for help with Charlotte and Danny, but stopped short of giving Gio details. Rocco then suddenly changed his mind, claiming he was just overwhelmed. It was clear to Gio that Rocco was distressed, but his brother refused to come clean, blurting out that he had to keep quiet about something he’d done and was afraid of what would happen to him if the truth came out. Distraught, Rocco raced out, begging Gio not to say anything to anyone. Gio told Emma that he’d already failed his brother twice and made a beeline for the PCPD to tell Dante that Rocco was in trouble.

 Hide And Seek

At Wyndemere, Cullum told Sidwell that he believed it was Danny who’d shot him and Commissioner Falconeri was covering it up. Cullum wanted to kill Danny, but Sidwell cautioned that the teen had a well-connected family in town, which could cause their entire operation to crumble. Britt then entered the living room and updated her bosses that the prototype would be ready to go online in 24 hours. She asked for her medication before leaving, but Cullum withheld her the injection, demanding to know why she’d lied that it was Jason who shot him. Britt admitted that she did lie to the cops about seeing Jason pull the trigger, but covered for Rocco as she noted that Jason had been the only person on the pier when she regained consciousness that night and so she assumed he was the gunman. “I’m only sorry he didn’t shoot you twice,” she snarled.

Meanwhile, after sneaking their way onto Spoon Island, Danny and Charlotte eavesdropped on the intense exchange between Cullum and Britt from the patio, learning not only that Britt had lied to the authorities about the shooting but that she was being forced to work for Cullum and Sidwell in the sub-basement lab in exchange for her medication. Once the room emptied out, the teens entered through the outside door and decided to go down into the catacombs and take photos of the secret project to give to Dante. But they only got as far as the foyer before being caught by Cullum!

After leaving Wyndemere, Britt headed to her office. She was shocked when a panicked Rocco showed up and blurted out that Danny and Charlotte were breaking into Wyndemere.
