General Hospital Recap: Ronnie’s Revelation, Jordan’s Confession, Nina’s New Employee, and More!

Comments

The October 28 episode of General Hospital was full of schemes and shocks! Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) and Portia’s (Brook Kerr) weekend getaway was interrupted, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) shared her suspicions with Curtis (Donnell Turner), Jack (Chris McKenna) dropped a bomb on Anna (Finola Hughes) before being manipulated by Carly (Laura Wright), Michael (Rory Gibson) forced Nina (Cynthia Watros) to work with Jacinda (Paige Herschell), and Tracy (Jane Elliot) was convinced to make peace with Ronnie (Erika Slezak), not realizing that Monica’s sister had already made a life-changing decision! Here’s how it all shook out!

To Tell the Truth

In her apartment, Jordan was still reeling from Curtis confessing his feelings and desire to reunite. She admitted that she’s felt the same for quite some time. However, she noted, the reason their marriage ended was because she kept a secret from him, and she refused to make that same mistake again. “Curtis, there’s something you should know,” she announced. “Portia’s pregnant.” Curtis was stunned and in disbelief, since they’d hardly been together in recent months. Jordan countered that one time is all it takes, and explained she wasn’t positive, but noticed Portia’s actions at the Quartermaine tea party. She also explained that when confronted, Portia didn’t deny it and stormed out.

Curtis realized that he and Portia had a lot to discuss, and Jordan assured him she’d understand whatever decision he ultimately made. He said he appreciated her honesty. Given that Curtis and Portia were splitting up, Curtis wondered if Portia was thinking about not having the baby at all, and left to speak with her immediately. Once alone, Jordan opened a fortune cookie and chuckled ruefully as she read: “An unexpected delivery will change everything.”

At Isaiah’s cabin, Portia noticed he had set out food and drink for them, but balked when he handed her a glass of wine. She changed the subject to his renovations and distracted him with a kiss. After they made love, their afterglow was darkened by a call from the hospital summoning Isaiah back to work. She offered to go with him, but he insisted she stay and enjoy dinner until he returned, hopefully later that evening. He gave her a key to the cabin, then left her alone. Later, Curtis ran into Isaiah at the hospital and asked where Portia was, while at the cabin, Portia reached out to Ava for help.

Cross/Double Cross

Jack visited Anna in her office to inform her that her request to visit Valentin in Steinmauer had been denied. He didn’t appreciate her trying to go around him, so she again proposed working together, insisting that he needed her because what he’s investigating clearly has to do with Faison. He admitted he didn’t know how all the pieces fit together, but Valentin did. She promised that if he let her speak with Valentin, she’d get him to tell her everything. Jack acknowledged that he didn’t trust her, and when she asked how she could earn that trust, he said, “To be determined.” On his way out, though, Jack confirmed that Faison is involved, and Valentin had revealed there was a connection between Faison and Jenz Sidwell. After the door shut behind him, Anna looked sick to her stomach.

Opposite this, Jason caught up with Carly at the Metro Court to ask why she’d been avoiding him. She insisted she hadn’t been, and urged him to make this quick, because she was having dinner with Jack. Jason was stunned she still hadn’t confronted Josslyn about being in the WSB or Jack about recruiting her daughter to the agency, and Carly reminded him he’d told her not to. “When do you listen to me?” he snarked, quickly asking, “What are you up to?” Carly feigned innocence, but Jason wasn’t buying it. She argued that confronting Josslyn would only alienate her, which Jason understood, but he couldn’t fathom why she hadn’t dumped Brennan yet. Carly explained that while she hated him, she couldn’t break up with him right now because as long as they were together, he had incentive to keep Josslyn safe. Jason wondered how long she could string him along and feared it would blow up in her face.

Jack arrived, and Jason made a swift exit. Carly told her beau that she’d been defending him to Jason, noting his generosity in arranging for Charlotte to visit Valentin. Carly added that she doubted Lulu would let it happen again, as it’s too disruptive for Charlotte’s life. Jack was frustrated because he suspected Valentin would cough up more info after additional visits with Charlotte, so crafty Carly casually suggested moving Valentin to a WSB prison in America so he could be closer to his daughter.

Jason interrupted Anna as she searched for info on Sidwell to again ask for her help getting Josslyn out of the WSB. She, too, hated the situation, but reminded him that Josslyn was an adult. Jason argued that Joss almost died in Croatia, and Anna suggested they could try to get her a supervisor other than Jack, who was notorious for taking the most dangerous assignments. Jason reluctantly agreed, and Anna told him that they had to help end Jack’s current mission so they could get Josslyn moved. She warned Jason that Faison and Sidwell are involved somehow.

Working Girl

At the Crimson offices, Nina complained to Ava about how Willow hates her now that she recanted her alibi. She vowed to get her daughter exonerated. Ava understood her friend’s desire to save Willow, but urged her to be careful not to make things worse. Outside, Michael arrived with Jacinda, and she admitted she was having second thoughts about taking this job, given that the editor-in-chief is the person who paid her to drug Drew. Michael interrupted the women to inform Nina that he’d hired her a new assistant. Upon seeing Jacinda, Nina declared, “Oh, no. Over my dead body,” to which Michael retorted, “That’s fine by me. If that’s how you want it.”

Jacinda apologized for trying to double-cross her, but Nina still didn’t trust her because she’s now lying to provide Michael with an alibi for Drew’s shooting. Michael countered that she was the one who gave a false alibi to protect her daughter, who clearly shot Drew. “No, Michael,” she spat. “You shot Drew, and then you framed Willow!” Michael warned her not to throw around baseless accusations, but Nina didn’t want to hire an escort. He reminded her that Aurora stood behind her, even with her own criminal record, and Ava interrupted to declare that Nina wouldn’t object because she needs help in the office and loves giving second chances.

Through gritted teeth, Nina said she’d try to make the arrangement work, and Michael and Ava excused themselves. Nina started giving Jacinda orders, then asked how much Michael was paying her to be his alibi. Jacinda insisted he was doing no such thing, and their alibi wasn’t a lie. Nina then offered to pay her even more to help get Willow out of prison.

Making Peace

Tracy joined Ned at the Metro Court, surprised at his invitation, given that his wife had made it clear she wasn’t welcome at her hotel. But then Olivia appeared and informed her that this was her idea, as she wanted to help Tracy and Ronnie make peace. When Tracy refused to even consider the idea, Ned declared that she was making a big mistake and Edward would be disappointed. He warned that by letting herself be kicked out of the house, she’d lost too much ground and advised that she pretend to make peace with Ronnie to get back in. Olivia insisted they were supposed to make actual peace, but Tracy liked Ned’s idea.

Ned added that Ronnie seemed too good to be true, but Olivia believed she was “good people.” When Michael joined them, Tracy informed him that thanks to Ned, she’d seen the light. Olivia asked Michael about Ronnie, and he said the jury was still out on Monica’s sister, but Tracy apologizing to Ronnie, whether she meant it or not, was a good idea, so she could get back in the house. Then, if Ronnie wasn’t who she appeared to be, they could take care of her as a family. Ned wanted to go talk to Ronnie right now, but Tracy complained that they hadn’t even had dinner yet. “You need to save room for all the humble pie you’re about to eat,” Ned teased.

From Bad to Worse

When Martin arrived at the Quartermaine mansion to speak with Ronnie, she kept up the pretense until Martin shut the door to the living room, at which point she angrily reminded him that he’d said they weren’t supposed to be seen together. Martin insisted he had a legitimate reason to visit her, so no one would find out they’re working together. Ronnie pushed him to get out, but Martin reminded her that if he hadn’t reached out to her, she’d still be waiting tables. “And lest ye forget,” he added. “The house, your newfound fortune? None of it would be yours if it wasn’t for me. Because, as we both know, Monica didn’t write you into her will. I did.”

Ronnie insisted that if the locket was all her sister had left her, she would have been happy, but Martin reminded her that she’d changed her tune about his plan upon meeting Tracy and feeling her wrath. Ronnie admitted she didn’t mind hurting Tracy, but felt bad about ruining the rest of the Quartermaines by taking their home. Martin announced that the house wouldn’t be hers for long because she was going to sell it to Drew. Ronnie refused to sell Monica’s home to that “pompous ass,” but Martin promised her that when Drew got the house, it would drive Tracy nuts. The attorney explained how he wanted revenge on Tracy for destroying his life by bringing his ex-wives together to fleece him for everything he had. Ronnie suddenly realized that he had drugged her tea so she would blame Tracy and throw her out! She declared that their charade had gone too far, but Martin stopped her in her tracks by warning that nothing traced back to him, so she would be arrested for fraud. If she didn’t sell the house to Drew, he’d take away everything she has, including her freedom.

Later, Michael, Ned, and Olivia brought Tracy in to see Ronnie. Tracy stammered out that for the good of the family, she’d like to bury the hatchet and start over, and Ronnie agreed that they could all use a fresh start. “Which is why I’ve decided to… sell the house,” she declared as everyone’s jaws hit the floor.
