General Hospital Recap: Ronnie Kicks Tracy Out, Drew Makes Alexis An Offer, And Anna Warns Josslyn

Comments

On the October 21 episode of General Hospital, tensions between Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Ronnie (Erika Slezak) reached an all-time high, Drew (Cameron Mathison) offered Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) a deal that he knew she would have a hard time saying no to, Lucas (Van Hansis) and Lulu (Alexis Havins) had a healthy debate about suspects in the congressman’s attempted murder, and Anna (Finola Hughes) attempted to get through to Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Keep on reading to see how it all went down.

Let’s Make A Deal

Following Willow’s arraignment, Drew barged into Alexis’s house to beg his former mother-in-law to represent the woman he loved. Drew didn’t take too kindly to Alexis shooting him down and accused her of not upholding her duty as an officer of the court by refusing to represent an innocent woman who was framed and separated from her children. Alexis then berated Drew for his audacity, noting that he’s been keeping Scout away from her entire family.

When Alexis still wouldn’t give in, Drew offered to lift the restraining order against her, allowing her to see Scout as often as she wanted. Alexis called him out for attempting to use her granddaughter as a bargaining chip in his extortion scheme. Drew arrogantly pulled the Sam card, wondering if turning him down was what her late daughter would have wanted her to do. Not wanting to have anything to do with him, Alexis continued to fight Drew on representing Willow, but when he promised that she wouldn’t have to deal with him directly, Alexis agreed — but only if he lifted all of the restraining orders. Partially agreeing, Drew refused to allow Danny, the hit-man’s son, anywhere near his daughter. Alexis called him a petty little man for treating Sam’s son that way but relented when Drew doubled down that his final offer was that Scout could have contact with everyone except Danny. Drew agreed to let her see Scout the next day — as long as she met with Willow first.

All Apologies

Curtis invited Kai to Bobbie’s for a chat. Before they could get into their conversation, Lulu approached the table to pitch a new angle on a story about Drew’s shooting. Curtis gave the freelance journalist an invitation to present her story to Aurora. Lulu left, and Curtis returned his focus to Kai. Revealing that he and Portia were getting a divorce, Curtis asked Kai to be Trina’s support system. When Kai commented that he hoped the divorce wasn’t because of the hell Drew had put them through, Curtis was surprised to hear Kai criticize the congressman, but was glad that the young man was finally seeing Drew for the snake that he is. Kai wondered if he was wrong to continue working for a man he had zero respect for. Curtis encouraged Kai to stay in his position if it was going to help him achieve his goals, but to maintain his own sense of right and wrong, especially since Drew was going to do anything he could to exonerate Willow. “Do not let him drag you into anything illegal,” Curtis warned, inviting Kai to call him if things got dicey.

The Great Debate

Running into Lulu at the restaurant, Lucas asked for the dirt on the Quartermaine tea party. While she hadn’t seen Tracy pull any shenanigans, Lulu revealed, she and Lucy had walked in on Dante and Michael arguing — and she was convinced that Michael was capable of shooting Drew and framing Willow for the crime. Lucas countered that he believed Willow was absolutely capable of the crime, musing that the woman’s unhealthy need to be a mom consumed her to the point that she was blinded by what was truly best for Wiley and Amelia. Adding that Willow had motive to shoot Drew, Lucas suggested that Lulu think twice about going after Michael in the press. Not only would Carly never forgive her, he noted, but she could be helping a guilty woman go free.

As they continued their debate, Lulu claimed that she was not gunning for Michael, but just reporting on the facts. She pointed out that it was possible Michael has been goading his ex for months, trying to make Willow look like a hysterical woman. Lucas argued that Michael could not have predicted Willow’s breakdown in court and that Drew was the one manipulating her. When Lucas stated that Michael was a good man, Lulu replied that Sonny was too, but he could also be completely ruthless. “And at heart,” she whispered, “Michael’s just like his father.” Lucas maintained that he believed Carly and Monica offset Sonny’s influence on Michael while he was growing up. Lulu still had concerns about Dante’s brother after hearing him say that he hoped Willow never saw their kids again. Michael seems to be able to justify anything he does as long as he thinks he’s acting in Wiley and Amelia’s best interest, she fretted. “Well, if that’s true, heaven help those kids,” Lucas sighed. “Because Willow is the exact same way.”

Hit The Road

Having pieced together during Ronnie’s “Welcome to Port Charles” tea that Portia is pregnant, Jordan confronted her rival in the front hall, demanding to know if Curtis knew about the baby. Telling Jordan to mind her own business, Portia grabbed her coat and stormed out, slamming the front door as she exited. Immediately, Jordan called Anna, leaving a message for her friend to meet her at the Brown Dog so she could share the latest gossip.

Meanwhile, in the Quartermaine living room, Tracy got into yet another spat with the guest of honor in front of Brook Lynn, Olivia, Elizabeth, Stella, and Felicia. Brook Lynn and Felicia stepped in before Tracy could clock Ronnie with a crystal vase, while Olivia tried to get Ronnie to sober up. Continuing to make a scene, Tracy claimed that Ronnie’s presence in the house was an insult to the entire Quartermaine family. Although Tracy insisted Ronnie was drunk, Ronnie swore that she hadn’t had any alcohol… then mused that someone had slipped her a mickey! At that proclamation, Elizabeth, Brook Lynn and Felicia all looked to Tracy, but a smug Tracy claimed that somebody drugging Ronnie was a ridiculous notion and advised her to go upstairs and sleep it off. Holding firm, Ronnie spat that someone wanted to humiliate her at the party, and Tracy was the only one miserable enough to do it.

Recalling how Tracy had wanted to prove to everyone at the party that Ronnie didn’t belong there, Brook Lynn accused her grandmother of spiking Ronnie’s tea. When Tracy insisted she would never do something like that, Olivia laughed and brought up the time when Tracy got Alexis drunk and framed her for drunk driving. “You did that to somebody else?” Ronnie yelled, disgusted. “You are horrible!” Fed up, Ronnie ripped into Tracy for being “a complete witch to me” from the moment they’d met in the crypt. Not willing to put up with Tracy’s vindictive behavior any longer, Ronnie kicked her to the curb! “Tracy, get out of my house!” she shouted. “And don’t come back.”

When nobody came to her defense, Tracy looked around the room, insulted that her family was siding with the woman she claimed was a con artist. Next, Tracy told Ronnie it was curious that, despite her correspondence with Monica, they’d never made plans to meet. Fighting back tears, Tracy claimed it was cruel to give the beautiful house to a sister in name only and leaving the woman that spent 45 years with her a jar of relish. “You want to know about your sister? She was never cruel! Something is very wrong here!” Tracy bellowed. “This is not your house. And it will never be your home.” Insisting one last time that she did not drug Ronnie, Tracy announced that she would leave but was taking every framed family photograph and prized possession with her. No one spoke a word as Tracy declared she would call for her things in the morning before exiting.

Escape Plan

After storming out of Ronnie’s party, Portia headed to the hospital, where she ran into Isaiah. In her office, she unloaded on him about how Curtis told Jordan that they were divorcing, and she couldn’t wait to not have to deal with Jordan after the divorce. To cheer her up, Isaiah invited Portia to his newly renovated cabin for a romantic weekend getaway, but she turned him down, claiming that it wasn’t the best time for them to go away together. Understanding her hesitation, Isaiah offered to give her the key if she needed some time away by herself. Touched by the gesture, Portia said that she wanted to spend time with him, not alone, and kissed him. Once they broke apart, Isaiah asked if that meant she changed her mind about going to the cabin. Accepting the invite, Portia noted that a weekend away would allow them to talk about everything that’s been going on between them.

Drink To That

Over drinks at the Brown Dog, Trina updated Joss about her parents splitting up and about how Drew had been blackmailing them. Across the bar, Anna had a glass of wine waiting when Jordan arrived and listened as her friend grumbled about all the chances Curtis had given Portia, and how the other woman was now keeping her pregnancy from him as they were divorcing. Jordan groused that Portia had found yet another way to hold on to him since Curtis wouldn’t want to be apart from his child, but Anna pointed out that didn’t exactly track if Portia had yet to tell him about the baby. Jordan wondered if she should be the one to tell Curtis about the baby, but before Anna could respond, Trina approached and asked to speak with Jordan privately.

Sliding onto the barstool that Anna vacated, Trina wanted to know if Curtis had told Jordan that he and Portia were getting a divorce. When Jordan revealed that she was aware, Trina stated that her parents still loved each other, and she believed they could work things out as long as Jordan kept her distance from Curtis.

While Trina was speaking with Jordan, Anna slid in across the booth from Josslyn and revealed that she knew about her status as a WSB agent. Anna wanted to know if Joss had heard Cesar Faison’s name mentioned while she was at the Five Poppies, but Josslyn reminded her that since Anna was no longer a WSB agent, she couldn’t share anything with her. Anna stated that no one knew Faison better than she did, and if he was involved in what was going on, the situation was going to get very dangerous for a lot of people. “Make no mistake, Josslyn: You need me,” Anna insisted.
