General Hospital Comings & Goings: Two Fan Favorites Make Surprise Return
The auction for control of the piers on the Monday, October 12 episode of General Hospital brought Parry Shen and Lydia Look back to the canvas as Brad Cooper and Selina Wu, who arrived together with the Wu family’s sights set on the Port Charles waterfront after being off-screen for months.
Brad and Selina’s Surprise GH Comeback
In the episode, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) were caught off-guard when mob boss Selina strode into the Metro Court conference room where the all-important auction was being held with her nephew, Brad, by her side.
Selina has been absent from the canvas since July 2025, when Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) successfully framed her for the firebombing of Charlie’s Pub, which endangered the life of Sonny’s daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi). To avoid Sonny’s considerable wrath, Selina fled the country, seeking safe harbor in Singapore.
Lydia Look made one additional appearance as Selina, the role she originated in 2015, in December 2025, but it was via flashback. In that episode, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) recalled offering Selina, who had just flown back into town, a cool million bucks to assassinate the much-despised Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Curtis ultimately backed out of the deal, and Selina presumably returned to Singapore.
As for the sneaky-yet-endearing Brad, played on and off by Parry Shen since 2013, he was last seen on the April 2, 2026 episode, sharing scenes with BFF Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) after her then-boyfriend, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), was arrested for shooting Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and hauled off by the WSB.
In the past, Brad has chafed at working for his aunt and has only done so under duress. But on today’s show, the two appeared as a united front determined to take control of the Port Charles waterfront.
When she first entered the conference room and Sonny voiced his surprise at seeing her in town, Selina told Sonny that she viewed the Sidwell-induced animosity between them as “water under the bridge,” and he agreed. “I have no issue with you,” Sonny assured Selina.
Ric tried to call the validity of Selina’s bid for the piers into question by inquiring as to whether she had made it while still overseas, which was forbidden by the strict rules governing the auction.
Selina shot back that while she was arranging her return to the U.S., “My nephew stepped in to procure the piers for the Wu family. Our bid is entirely legitimate.”
Sonny turned to Brad and told him that he was wasting his time, confidently asserting, “You’re not gonna get those piers.”
Selina then noted that she had heard through the grapevine that Sonny had retired from the mob, and proposed that “perhaps you should let the piers go to someone who can help them reach their full potential.”
Soon, they were joined by other would-be buyers, including Drew, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), and JJE exec Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel).
In the end, neither Sonny nor Selina prevailed — Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) did, securing the piers for JJE.
