General Hospital Recap: Michael Plots Against Willow, Curtis Takes Isaiah Theory to Justine

Comments

On the Tuesday, April 28, episode of General Hospital, several characters had targets placed on their backs, while others performed acts of kindness. Curtis (Donnell Turner) provided Justine (Nazneen Contractor) with a suspect’s name, Tracy (Jane Elliot) gave Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) some tough love, Michael (Rory Gibson) caught Chase (Josh Swickard) fawning over Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) called in a favor from Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) while Portia (Brook Kerr) looked into a way to help Jordan (Tanisha Harper), and Lucas (Van Hansis) was touched by Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) offer. Get the play-by-play below.

Look Before You Leap

Over breakfast at Bobbie’s, Trina resolved to be more supportive of Jordan moving forward after Portia described the extent of her injuries. Meanwhile, at Aurora, Curtis shared his theory with Michael that Isaiah might have been the other driver in the hit-and-run accident that landed Jordan in the hospital. Curtis explained that he didn’t want to make any accusations without proof, especially since he and Portia had worked hard to make peace between them. But Curtis was determined to get to the bottom of things, saying he had to know if his hunch was correct.

Later, Curtis ran into Portia at the hospital and gave her the go-ahead to start work on the nursery. Fishing for info, Curtis managed to glean that Jordan and Isaiah had been at his cabin the night of the accident, and that Isaiah had returned to town to make an emergency house call.

In Jordan’s hospital room, Justine got her friend to open up about her fears and insecurities over her physical appearance following the accident, including her worry that Sidwell might fire her since she was the public face of his company. Curtis arrived, and Jordan shared that she would have to wait at least a month for her burns to heal before she could consider plastic surgery. After, Curtis approached Justine in the hallway and revealed his suspicions about Isaiah, encouraging her to look into the doctor as the possible culprit.

Package Deal

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn and Chase cuddled with Phoebe while Tracy groused that the baby had kept her up the previous night. When Chase wondered where Brook Lynn’s car was, Tracy claimed that she’d sent both their cars for detailing. After Chase left for work, Brook Lynn admitted to Tracy that she was still tempted to come clean about her role in Jordan’s accident, but Tracy convinced her to stay silent.

Trina appeared at the back door with a package that was delivered to the garage apartment by mistake. When Brook Lynn asked how Jordan was, Trina explained that she was expected to fully recover, but her face may be permanently scarred. That news made Brook Lynn feel more ashamed, so she brought up Trina and Gio’s performance at open mic night and offered to connect Trina with some of her music industry contacts if she ever wanted to sing professionally. Once alone again, Tracy called out Brook Lynn for trying to use Trina to ease her guilt, warning that inserting herself into the Ashford family was only going to make them suspicious.

Say It With Flowers

In Willow’s office, Willow tasked Kai with researching who on the International Law Enforcement Appropriations Committee supported the WSB. She claimed that she and Chief Brennan would be working together to make sure the agency didn’t destroy any more lives in Port Charles the way they had with Jason, but to do that, she needed more power and influence with the committee.

Michael arrived to meet with Willow. She apologized for the way she’d attacked Jacinda at Crimson, then asked for Michael’s permission to take the children to Disney World during summer vacation. Michael agreed and even suggested they coordinate their schedules so he could take Wiley and Amelia to Hawaii. Chase then arrived with flowers, so Michael exited — but made a mental note of the bouquet on the way out.

Chase presented the flowers to Willow to thank her for helping him and Brook Lynn get approved as foster parents. Chase asked if everything was okay with Michael and was glad to hear that he was being reasonable with visitation, especially after he’d framed Willow for shooting Drew. Willow sighed that it was a shame Michael hadn’t been open to compromising with her from the start, which could have prevented things from going as far as they did. At that, Chase sniffed that Willow was too good for Michael and always had been.

Care Team

Isaiah arrived at the hospital late for his shift. He thanked Lucas for covering for him, explaining that he’d accidentally scratched his SUV that morning. Isaiah then summoned Kai to visit Derek, a young patient who was a big PCU football fan. After hanging out with the boy, Kai told Isaiah that helping to lift Derek’s spirits reminded him of what it felt like to have a positive impact on someone and that he’d love to spend time with him again.

Calling in a Favor: Portia (Brook Kerr) asked Lucas (Van Hansis) to contact a skilled plastic surgeon for Jordan.ABC

Portia asked Lucas to call in a favor with an old friend from medical school, now a top plastic surgeon, to consult on Jordan’s case. Lucas agreed to make the call, saying it was kind of Portia to want to help Jordan. Portia replied that Jordan was going to be a part of her life through Curtis and the baby, and she just wanted to help out where she could.

Game, Set, Match?

Kristina tracked Lucas down at the hospital and shared that she wanted to do something through the Corinthos-Davis House in honor of Marco, who had saved her life during the fire at Charlie’s. Lucas was touched by the gesture, and after telling Kristina more about his late love, who was a fan of tennis, Kristina decided to add tennis courts at the facility and name it The Marco Rios Tennis Center in his honor.

Kristina then went to Bobbie’s to meet up with Michael. She asked how things had gone with Willow, and Michael confided that he figured out how to even the playing field with his ex-wife. “The key to neutralizing Willow has been staring me in the face this whole time,” he declared.
