General Hospital Recap: Lucas Exposes Carly’s Affair as ‘Nathan’ Pushes Lulu Too Far
The Wednesday, April 29, episode of General Hospital was jam-packed! Michael (Rory Gibson) outlined his plan to Carly (Laura Wright), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) sought advice from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Curtis (Donnell Turner) took his theory about Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) to Laura (Genie Francis), Lucas (Van Hansis) spilled a secret to Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) questions worried Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Lulu (Alexa Havins) and “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) got into their first argument as a couple, Jack (Chris McKenna) proposed a ceasefire to Nina (Cynthia Watros), and Jacinda (Paige Herschell) was thisclose to getting Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) to confide in her about Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Here’s everything that happened.
An Affair To Remember
Valentina and Carly were at her house when Michael dropped by unexpectedly. Valentin hid while Michael told his mother about his plan to gain leverage in family court over Willow by nudging Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael reasoned that this would create a massive political scandal and, he hoped, cost Willow her seat in Congress. When Carly questioned why he’d want to destroy Brook Lynn’s life like that, Michael insisted that Brook Lynn didn’t know the real Chase. He shrugged that all he was going to do was create circumstances that could lead to an affair, and if Chase wound up betraying his wife with Willow, that was on him.

After Michael left, Carly let Valentin back into the kitchen, pointing out that it had been a close call and he couldn’t keep hiding in her house. As they discussed their scheme to bait Jack into an ambush, Carly begged Valentin not to kill Jack. Fearing that the WSB would hunt him down if that happened, she nearly confessed that she couldn’t lose him, too, after losing Jason, but caught herself before uttering the words. Valentin declared that when they ambushed Jack, they were going to need something he feared more than either of them.
A Walk In The Park
While in the park with Phoebe, Brook Lynn ran into Alexis and inquired about officially adopting the baby if she were declared a ward of the state. Alexis noted that they couldn’t “cut the line” to keep Phoebe, but offered to help them plead their case to the child welfare system. Brook Lynn covered her anxiety when Alexis warned that she and Chase should prepare for an extensive background check on them both.

Fake It ‘Til You Make It
At Crimson, Jack proposed a ceasefire to Nina, promising that he wouldn’t pressure her to get info from Charlotte about Valentin anymore and would keep the traffic cam footage of Willow buried. However, he asked Nina to let him know if Charlotte volunteered anything about her father’s whereabouts on her own. Flashing back to Valentin telling her he wanted to set Jack up, Nina agreed to the truce.
After Jack left, Jacinda questioned why Charlotte had been so rude to him, and the intern grumbled that it was the agent’s fault her father was a fugitive. Next, Nina apologized to Charlotte for letting her down, but Charlotte rebuffed her. Later, a sullen Charlotte confided to Jacinda that she used to think Nina loved her but now couldn’t trust her. When she correctly assumed that Jacinda didn’t like Willow because of what she’d done to Michael, Jacinda used that to her advantage and tried to get Charlotte to open up about Valentin. Michael arrived and privately told Jacinda that he’d figured out another way to get the upper hand with Willow.

Careful What You Wish For
Curtis sought out Laura’s advice, sharing his suspicion that Isaiah was the driver who’d left the scene of his and Jordan’s accident. Playing devil’s advocate, Laura suggested it was possible that the other driver wasn’t even aware there had been an accident, then asked Curtis if he really thought Isaiah was in the other car — or if he just wanted it to be Isaiah. Curtis replied that he didn’t want to disrupt the peace between him and Portia by accusing Isaiah, but felt Portia deserved to know if Isaiah had left them on the side of the road. Laura advised him to let the PCPD investigate the matter and focus on helping Jordan.

Cheatin’ Heart
Lucas got suspicious when Josslyn asked for an update on Cullum. She claimed that she was just concerned for her mom, who might do something reckless with Jason gone, and noted that Cullum might remember something that could help Jason’s defense. Lucas pointed out that Carly had the two of them to support her, prompting Josslyn to share that she’d had a fight with her mom and they weren’t speaking. Promising that he’d look out for Carly, Lucas let it slip that his sister was cheating on Jack, but she hadn’t told him details about the mystery man. Suspecting her mom’s other guy was Valentin, Josslyn promised not to say anything and headed out.

Ill Communication
At G.H., Isaiah called his insurance company about getting his car fixed, and Willow stopped by to see Elizabeth. Willow internally panicked upon learning that Drew had blinked an SOS during Liz’s visit, but covered by fibbing that he did that often. Liz suggested that an eye-tracking system would help Drew better communicate, but Willow shut her down by claiming that her husband would be crushed by the thought that his inability to speak was permanent.
Later, Liz shared her concern with Lucas that Willow was in over her head as Drew’s caretaker and Willow went to her mother’s office. Rattled by Liz’s interest in Drew’s attempt to communicate, Willow told Nina that she needed to find leverage to use against her husband — soon.

Trouble In Paradise
Lulu and “Nathan” had their first fight when he told her that Rocco had shared everything that happened on Pier 55 with Britt and suggested Lulu send her son away for his own good in order to stop him from blabbing to anyone else that he’d shot Cullum. She blasted “Nathan” for telling her what was best for her child and declared that she wasn’t going to abandon him. Just then, Isaiah showed up to deliver Rocco’s next round of antibiotics. “Nathan” tried to get him to leave, but Lulu invited the doctor inside, telling Nathan that he’d treated Rocco without asking any questions. When “Nathan” insisted that Isaiah not discuss Rocco’s injury with anyone, he reminded the detective that doctor/patient confidentiality prevented him from disclosing to anyone that he’d been at Lulu’s house that night.

Too Little, Too Late
Jack returned to his hotel room to find Josslyn waiting for him. He berated Joss for not keeping her distance from him and reminded her that Cullum would kill her if he discovered she was a WSB agent. Josslyn spat back that Jack was only concerned with her survival because his relationship with her mother depended on it. “Well, you’re too late,” Joss declared. “You already lost her.”

Should Lulu send Rocco away to protect him? Is Michael going to succeed in pushing Willow and Chase into an affair? Will Joss tell Brennan that she thinks Carly is sleeping with Valentin? Share your thoughts on the latest episode of GH as well as your predictions about what will happen next!
