General Hospital Recap: Jason Faces Danny’s Anger as Willow Considers Killing Drew

Comments

On the Tuesday, July 14, episode of General Hospital, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) gave some serious thought to killing Drew (Cameron Mathison), Portia (Brook Kerr) went into labor after arguing with Jordan (Tanisha Harper), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) grew suspicious of Jack (Chris McKenna) and Nina (Cynthia Watros), Jason (Steve Burton) had some explaining to do to Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), and newcomer Tristan (Dean Geyer) had a heated encounter with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud). Keep on reading for all the details.

Sounds of Silence

Nina and Willow summoned Jack and reminded him that they were running out of the paralytic, and with the doses stretched out, Drew had been showing signs of regaining mobility. Nina pressed that they needed the evidence from Jack’s black box ASAP and insisted on going to Wyndemere with Jack to search for it.

After Nina and Jack left, Willow checked Drew’s vital signs and told him that his attempt to frame her for Jordan’s car accident had failed. Now, she had to limit his access to the outside world, so Scout would be living with Alexis. Willow added that if Drew wasn’t so vindictive, she’d just let him go, but she refused to let him destroy her life.

Kai stopped by to pick up notes for a meeting. While Kai and Drew were alone, Drew knocked over Willow’s medical bag, signaling to Kai that he was regaining mobility. An excited Kai wanted to tell Willow, but Drew communicated through blinks that he didn’t want Willow to know. Kai then claimed that he knocked over the bag, but Willow was suspicious.

After Kai left, she berated Drew for tipping Kai off to his increasing movement. She growled that he was forcing her to get more creative with her efforts to control him. Remembering Jack’s suggestion that she could kill Drew before he retaliated against her, Willow begged her husband not to force her hand.

Labor Day

Jordan went to Portia’s house, hoping to convince her to testify during the trial that Isaiah provoked Curtis. The women just ended up fighting about their partners, the accident, and the baby. As they argued, Portia winced a few times in pain — and after Jordan stormed out, she was hit with intense contractions!

House Hunters

While packaging up evidence at Wyndemere, Dante was frustrated that the WSB had essentially cleaned the place out before giving the PCPD access. Valentin arrived with Charlotte, announcing that he wanted to buy Wyndemere back. Alone with Valentin, Dante accused him of doing Charlotte a disservice with the promises he was making to her. Valentin smugly countered that Lulu was the one creating friction with Charlotte.

Valentin proposed that things would be better all around if Charlotte lived with him for a while, but Dante said that living with the stabler Lulu was what was best for Charlotte. Charlotte blurted out that she wanted to live with her dad because Lulu treated her like a child.

After Dante left, Jack and Nina showed up. When Charlotte angrily questioned why Nina was there, Nina claimed she was hoping to understand what happened with Cassius and clear her brother’s name. Jack then asked an officer to escort Charlotte and Valentin out, and the teen proclaimed that she’d never forget how Jack and Nina used her to get to her dad.

Out in the foyer, Valentin promised Charlotte that they’d get their old home back. Meanwhile, Jack told Nina that Valentin now knew there was something at Wyndemere that they were after — and they were screwed if he found the black box before they did.

Baggage Claim

After assuring Danny that he was home for good, Jason confided that he didn’t know why the WSB had released him. A hurt Danny begged to know why Jason covered for Rocco. Jason explained that, after imagining Danny in the same situation, he’d made a split-second decision to take the fall, not wanting the shooting to ruin Rocco’s life.

Upset, Danny said he understood but questioned if his father ever considered that they might not see one another again, noting how difficult it had been for him while Jason was gone. Jason vowed that being Danny’s father was his top priority.

Danny shared with his dad that he’d told Chief Brennan that Rocco was Cullum’s shooter, but the WSB agent had told him to drop it. Before Jason could question his son further, Tracy showed up at the boathouse to welcome him home. Proposing that he and Danny go away for a few days to catch up, Jason asked Tracy to relay the news of his return to Alexis and everyone else.

Sounding Board

Elizabeth was welcoming Dr. Tristan Roberts, a world-renowned heart surgeon, to G.H. when Tracy interrupted. After Tristan went downstairs to sign his onboarding paperwork, Tracy blasted Liz for advocating for Sonny as a board member. Liz stood her ground, and when Tracy said she was concerned that Sonny would use the position to sanitize his reputation, Liz chuckled that ELQ had done the same. Finally, Tracy snapped that her family had paid dearly for giving Sonny the benefit of the doubt in the past and stalked off.

Dante went to the hospital to schedule a physical with Elizabeth, expecting to return to the field as a detective now that Anna was back. Updating Liz that Valentin was back in town, Dante relayed how tense things had been between Valentin and Lulu over Charlotte. Dante felt Charlotte was a bad influence on Rocco (because Rocco had kept Charlotte’s secret about visiting with Valentin) and confessed that he’d prefer it if Charlotte did live with her father. Liz offered to be there for Dante whenever he needed to vent as their affinity for one another deepened.

Room Service

At Bobbie’s, a frantic Britt left a message for Carly about getting her room back. Isaiah entered the diner and was happy to see that Britt was back in town because she could now deliver Portia’s baby. Britt was surprised that he was so welcoming, but he noted that she was a skilled doctor and her personal issues were none of his business.

Tristan was checking in at the counter when Britt overheard that he’d rented her room. Furious, she demanded that the stranger give her the key, but Tristan refused, and the two bickered over who had a right to the room. Stepping in, Isaiah told Britt she shouldn’t be directing her anger at the newcomer, and she reluctantly backed down — but threw one last barb at the stranger about the room having bedbugs. “Oh, they’ll be a welcome relief after you,” Tristan snapped back.
