General Hospital Recap: Charlotte Learns Her Fate as Curtis and Sidwell Are Attacked by Sonny’s Men
The Friday, September 25, episode of General Hospital was full of tense moments! Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) had a showdown with Rocco (Finn Carr), then learned that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Lulu (Alexa Havins) were sending her away because of her stunt. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was crushed by what prompted Chase (Josh Swickard) to move back in, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) clashed with her younger sister, Monet (Blythe Howard), Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) were under siege at Pentonville, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Justine (Nazneen Contractor) debated whether to end their secret romance, and more. Here’s all that happened.
Space Wars
While at the Quartermaine mansion looking for Josslyn, Hudson helped Brook Lynn set up Phoebe’s portable crib in the solarium. Hudson spent some time playing peek-a-boo with the baby but made himself scarce when Chase entered the room.
Chase informed Brook Lynn that he’d moved back in to be closer to Phoebe, even though he hadn’t made any decisions about their marriage. She quickly deduced that the idea had been his lawyer’s and was hurt that Chase only moved back as a legal strategy while she was desperate to fix their marriage. Telling Chase to enjoy his visit with his daughter, Brook Lynn proclaimed that she couldn’t be around him right now and rushed out.
Parent Rap
Valentin told Carly that he’d decided to send Charlotte to boarding school. He didn’t want Lulu ever to know what their daughter had attempted to do to Drew, but Carly convinced him to tell Lulu the whole story. Opposite this, Lulu invited Jason to her house to discuss the trouble Charlotte and Danny had been getting into. Jason agreed that the teens needed to be reined in, but before they could come up with a solution, Valentin arrived to speak with Lulu.
Jason left, and Valentin admitted that Lulu had been right about Charlotte’s reckless behavior. He filled her in about their daughter’s scheme to blackmail Drew to help Danny. Valentin apologized for not listening to Lulu when she tried to warn him that Charlotte was in trouble and proposed his idea to send her to boarding school.
After leaving Lulu’s, Jason went to Carly’s house, and she told him about what Charlotte had been up to. The best friends noted that they saw a lot of their younger selves in Danny and Charlotte, and Jason worried about how Danny would react if Charlotte’s parents sent her away.
School Daze
At the boathouse, a furious Charlotte ripped into Rocco for interfering in her attempt to frame Drew. Rocco stood his ground, shouting that he’d been trying to protect her from making a mistake that could ruin her life, but Charlotte snapped back that Rocco was really trying to play the hero for Scout.
Next, Lulu called Rocco and summoned them home. Charlotte entered the house alone and, upon seeing Valentin there, blurted out an apology to Lulu, swearing she’d never do anything like that again. Charlotte was speechless when her parents announced that they were sending her to boarding school.
Hidden Agenda
At the Metro Court Gardens, Michael asked Josslyn to keep an eye on Willow and Chase around the Quartermaine property because he was hoping to catch them having an affair. Disgusted, Josslyn refused and told her brother he was acting like Drew by trying to meddle in Brook Lynn’s marriage.
Across the room, estranged sisters Jordan and Monet shared an icy reunion after not seeing one another in years. Monet got under her sister’s skin by dropping shots about Jordan’s facial scars, and Jordan sarcastically thanked Monet for the support after she’d nearly died.
Jordan found it suspicious that Monet had relocated to Port Charles to work at Miller & Davis. But when Jordan questioned if the move was because of her, Monet evaded giving a direct answer. “I just figured since I’m going to be living in the same town as you, that you should know,” Monet said tartly. “It’s the least of what you deserve.”
After Monet sauntered away, Michael crossed over to check on Jordan and learned about her history with her sister. He wondered if Monet came to Port Charles to reconnect, but Jordan replied that she doubted sisterhood was what Monet was after.
Hudson finally met up with Josslyn and told her about the tension he’d witnessed earlier between Brook Lynn and Chase.
Fight Club
In Pentonville, Curtis gave Sidwell a heads-up that an attack was coming. But when Curtis suggested that Sidwell go into protective custody with the warden, Sidwell decided to take his chances.
Later, Sidwell was alone when Sonny’s associate and two other prisoners entered the cell and jumped him. Curtis returned just as one of the men was about to shank Sidwell and got drawn into the fight. Once Sidwell and Curtis were both laid out on the floor, Sonny’s cronies left. “Sonny Corinthos owes you this,” the leader taunted. “And more.”
Let’s Stay Together
After Justine told Sonny that Jordan saw them kissing, the couple assessed their relationship. Justine wasn’t sure what kind of relationship they could have in secret, but Sonny assured her that they had each other, confiding that for the first time in a long time, he was completely honest with someone he cared about. In the end, the couple agreed to keep seeing one another.
