General Hospital Recap: Carly Unleashes on Josslyn, Felicia Blasts Lulu Over Nathan and More
On the Thursday, March 5 episode of General Hospital, accusations were made and pacts were reached. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) had a blowout with Carly (Laura Wright) after discovering Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) hiding in her attic, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Justine (Nazneen Contractor) agreed to keep sleeping together a secret, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) condemned Lulu (Alexa Havins) for starting up a relationship with Nathan (Ryan Paevey), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) turned to Jason (Steve Burton) for comfort after an emotional night at work, and Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) vowed to look out for Baby Jane Doe. In case you missed it, here’s what happened.
Scratch The Itch
Sonny took Justine to the studio apartment above Charlie’s Pub, which he’d had added during the renovations for Kristina to use when the restaurant reopened. Over a bottle of scotch, they rehashed how no one could know they’d slept together, because it would ruin her career and put a bullet on his back. They declared they had zero regrets, toasted to having scratched the itch, and vowed it would never happen again. Justine remarked that the beauty of the situation was that they’d have to rely on each other to keep their hookup a secret, and had a hidden spot where no one had noticed them, and Sonny smiled that they had taken a gamble, which paid off. Thanking him for the scotch, Justine flashed Sonny a seductive smile, then left.

Showcase Showdown
Having discovered Valentin in her mother’s attic, Josslyn declared she was going to take him in, then kicked him to the ground when he sassed her about growing up to become a WSB agent. Just as Joss got him tied up with an extension cord, Carly entered and declared that she’d been hiding Valentin since he’d escaped because it was the only way to get Josslyn out of the WSB. That led to a massive fight between mother and daughter over Carly’s interference in Josslyn’s life, not to mention risking life in prison by harboring a fugitive.
Leaving a tied-up Valentin in the attic, Carly and Josslyn retreated to the kitchen to continue their argument in private. Joss learned that her mom has known for months that she’s a WSB agent. Carly was hurt that she had to hear about it from Jason, and Josslyn shouted that lying about her status to everyone while posing as a college student was literally her assignment. Joss insisted that joining the bureau had ultimately been her decision, but Carly couldn’t understand how she allowed Jack to recruit her into the awful life of a spy, especially considering how much Josslyn disliked Jack.

After letting it slip in anger that joining the WBS had been the price of justice, Josslyn tearfully explained how, before she was recruited, she’d found proof that Cyrus had killed Dex, hunted him down, and then killed him when Renault tried to kill her. Carly was horrified when Josslyn admitted that Cyrus was just the first person she’d killed, but that quickly turned to anger upon hearing that Jack had set her daughter up to find Cyrus as some sort of test. Since she’d already avenged Dex’s death, Carly begged her daughter to tell her what more she needed from being in the WSB, and was shocked when Josslyn shouted that she wanted to take down Sonny and everyone like him.
Carly was confused, noting that Josslyn had loved Sonny as a child. Joss yelled that as she grew up, she saw Sonny as the criminal that he is, who always gets away with his activities. And despite Carly’s insistence that Sonny would do anything for his family, Joss added, Morgan was dead, and Michael and Kristina nearly lost their lives, just for being Sonny’s children. As both women wiped tears, Joss cried that she didn’t get why her mom was so irrationally invested in Sonny and was going to take him down because she was done waiting for Carly to have an aha moment.

Carly begged Joss not to throw her life away because of Sonny, because there were other things she could do besides work for the WSB. Accusing her mother of still refusing to acknowledge the kind of man Sonny actually was, Josslyn spat that she wasn’t going to listen to whatever rationalization Carly had about working with Valentin to save her and instructed her mother to save herself. To avoid having to arrest her own mother, she was giving Carly 24 hours to get rid of Valentin before she did it herself. After Josslyn stormed out, Valentin — having managed to free himself — came downstairs with his duffel bag and coat, prepared to leave.
Emotional Damage
In the G.H. locker room, Britt acknowledged to Liz that she was hit hard by Delilah’s death because it had been the first patient she’d lost since returning to G.H. Liz commended her for pulling off a miracle by saving baby Jane Doe and was shocked when Britt complimented her skills during the surgery as well. Purposely adding some levity to the somber conversation with a snide remark about how insufferable she finds Elizabeth, Britt then asked her if, as a mother, it had been hard to see a woman die giving birth. Stating that it had been awful, Liz mused that it had to have been hard on Britt for the same reason. Once alone, Britt sadly looked at a picture of Rocco on her phone, then texted Jason with their secret meet-up code.

As Brook Lynn was filling out paperwork on Delilah’s behalf, Nathan approached her and Chase to update them that he’d found a handbag in the park — but it was cleaned out. Since the mother didn’t survive, the PCPD would try to find the baby’s relatives by running Delilah’s DNA through databases for potential matches and checking the missing persons lists. When Brook Lynn got upset that more needed to be done, Nathan said he’d send uniformed cops to the hotels around the park the next day to ask about missing guests. He also wanted to confirm if they thought Delilah had been mugged, but the woman hadn’t mentioned it, and nothing at the time had made either Chase or Brook Lynn suspicious.
Planning Ahead
After spotting Lulu and Nathan kissing, Felicia confronted her daughter’s best friend, demanding to know how long she’d been with Nathan and deeming the relationship inappropriate since Maxie was still trying to figure out her future. Replying that it was very new, and they still didn’t know what “it” was, Lulu explained that she and Nathan had only grown close recently. Lulu pointed out that Maxie had chosen Spinelli over Nathan. Felicia argued that it would hurt Maxie to know that her best friend had feelings for her husband, and while nobody expected Nathan to pine for Maxie forever, him moving on with his life and him moving on with Lulu were two very different things.
Lulu got offended when Felicia asked if she and Nathan would have sneaked around behind Maxie’s back had she chosen him, and said it was unfair for Felicia to throw it in her face as if she was helping Nathan cheat. Felicia advised Lulu to discuss the situation with her best friend soon and wondered what Lulu would do if the news devastated Maxie. Lulu said that she would explain things to Maxie and hoped that she would understand, adding that the reality was that Maxie didn’t get to have both Nathan and Spinelli. Replying that it seemed that Lulu was the one who wanted it both ways — her best friend and her best friend’s husband — Felicia commented that she had a feeling Lulu was going to find that practically impossible. Soon after Felicia stalked off, Lulu ran into Nathan and told him that Felicia confronted her after seeing them kissing. Nathan didn’t think it was fair that Felicia dumped all her anger on Lulu alone, but Lulu said it made her realize that she didn’t want to put off telling Maxie the truth. She had real feelings for him, she revealed, and just hoped it didn’t cost her her best friend in the end.

Following her altercation with Lulu, Felicia checked in on how Chase and Brook Lynn were doing with Delilah’s paperwork. Then, Felicia said they could visit Baby Jane Doe, and Brook Lynn got upset that the baby was given the generic standard procedure name rather than something more beautiful. Felicia commended them for having played a part in saving the baby’s life, and the couple then headed to the NICU. As they looked through the window at the baby, Chase promised his wife that they’d find the newborn’s family, and they would take care of her until they did.
Scratch My Back
Convinced that Cullum had an agenda by taking over the investigation into Sidwell and hoping to gather intel, Brennan stopped by the Corinthos Coffee office to ask Jason what he’d discussed during his meeting with Cullum. When Jason tried to stonewall him, Jack stated he was trying to prevent Cullum from discovering that Josslyn was an agent since the WSB director would use that against her. Jason still didn’t give in, so Jack revealed that he’d saved Carly’s life years ago because he’d been the one who hacked into the FBI server to destroy the audio file of Carly claiming to be the head of the Corinthos crime organization. Finally, Jason shared that Cullum had wanted to know about his relationship with Britt and why he’d gone to the Five Poppies to save her. Jack wanted to know if Cullum asked about Britt’s work, but before Jason could reply, he received the secret text message from Britt. After replying with the coffee cup and prohibited sign emojis, Jason informed Jack that he’d told Cullum he only knew that Britt was a doctor. Jack asked Jason to let him know if Cullum reached out again, then left. Later, despite Jason’s message to Britt that it wasn’t safe for her to come to Corinthos Coffee, she showed up anyway, still upset after losing Delilah earlier that evening and seeking his comfort.

Was Josslyn out of line with what she said to Carly? Did Felicia overstep in her conversation with Lulu? Is Britt taking too many risks to spend time with Jason? Share your predictions about what will happen next on GH in the comments below!
