Comments

The Monday, May 4, episode of General Hospital was full of excitement! Jack (Chris McKenna) faced off with Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), a knock-down fight between Cassius (Ryan Paevey) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) ended in the WSB agent being held captive in Wyndemere, Lucas (Van Hansis) told Ava (Maura West) about his uncomfortable interactions with Pascal (Marc Forget), Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Cody (Josh Kelly) debated a risk to their relationship, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) continued to lie to Chase (Josh Swickard), Gio (Giovanni Mazza) received an amazing opportunity, and Aladdin star Michael James Scott delivered a special performance at The Savoy! Get all the details below.

Face Off

After Jack burst into Carly’s bedroom and saw the male clothing discarded at the foot of her bed, he angrily demanded to know who Carly was cheating on him with. “Turn around,” she taunted, and his heart sank as he laid eyes on Valentin, holding a gun. Brennan assumed that Valentin had played Carly by turning her against him as revenge, but Cassadine calmly countered that Carly had come to him and revealed that she had posed as his attorney to visit him at Steinmauer. An emotional Jack questioned why Carly had betrayed him.

While Valentin continued to train his gun on Brennan, an icy Carly challenged Jack to fess up to what would have made her want to turn to Valentin and destroy him. Carly then lowered the boom, divulging that she knew that Jack had recruited Joss into the WSB, preying on her grief over Dex to trick her into killing Cyrus Renault so that he could turn her “into a lying, murdering spy — like you.”

Carly spat that ever since she’d found out, she’d been on a mission to get her daughter away from him. She wept that Joss would never be the same and snarled, “There’s no redemption for you in my eyes.” Jack swore he regretted recruiting Josslyn and got under Carly’s skin by insisting that Josslyn loves being an agent. He insisted that he had protected Joss, and Carly snarked that he only cared about what happened to her daughter in case something went wrong.

Jack pieced together that Carly had manipulated him into arranging Valentin’s transfer from Steinmauer because they’d been working together. Valentin gloated about how easily Carly had gotten Jack to do her bidding. Jack warned Carly that she would end up in prison for harboring a fugitive and that Valentin would do nothing to help her — he’d grab Charlotte and disappear. “And I won’t lift a finger to save you,” Jack hissed, adding that maybe she’d get lucky and the WSB would “throw her in a pit with Jason.”

Jack turned to go, but Valentin stopped him in his tracks by warning that if Jack didn’t help them, he’d turn him over to Director Cullum, who was a double agent and would love to use Jack as a fall guy for his own crimes. Resigned, Jack apologized to Carly for lying to her, but professed he never lied about loving her and had wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Then he sadly commented that he’d thought Carly was too smart to play into Valentin’s hands. As a parting shot, he said he wondered how long it would be before Valentin betrayed her.

Take My Breath Away

After roughly grabbing Josslyn’s arm, “Nathan” informed her he knew she was a WSB agent. Still believing him to be Nathan, Joss suggested that he had been traumatized during the years he was presumed dead and offered to get him help. “Nathan” declared that it couldn’t be fixed and refused to let her go. Josslyn grabbed a candlestick from by the door to hit him, and the ensuing struggle ended with Cassius strangling Joss until she lost consciousness.

Stealth Mode

Pascal threatened Lucas with a fire poker after catching him snooping around and told him to move out of Wyndemere. Their argument was interrupted by the arrival of Sidwell and Ava. Sidwell told Lucas to let him know if there was a problem with Pascal, but Lucas shrugged off the tension by saying Pascal didn’t like him and was taking his grief over Marco out on him.

Lucas filled in Jenz and Ava about Kristina’s plans to honor Marco by installing tennis courts in his name at the Corinthos-Davis LGBTQ+ center. At first, Jenz wasn’t thrilled with the idea of a Corinthos honoring his son that way, but changed his tune after Lucas and Ava both raved over Marco’s heroism in saving Kristina’s life. Jenz even declared he’d pay for the courts, and Ava suggested he make his donation anonymous so Kristina wouldn’t feel slighted in her efforts.

Pascal then received a call from Cassius, who needed help cleaning up the scene at Josslyn’s apartment. He signaled Sidwell about the emergency with a silent nod. To clear out Wyndemere, Jenz suggested he, Ava, and Lucas head to The Savoy.

Performance Anxiety

At The Savoy, Brook Lynn internally panicked when Curtis and Chase discussed the paint from the other car that had been found on the guardrail. Michael James Scott arrived and reunited with Gio and Emma. Gio then introduced him to Curtis and Trina and brought him over to meet Brook Lynn and Chase. Brook Lynn was touched when he introduced her as his mother. She gushed to Chase about how happy it made her to hear Gio refer to him as his mom and he beamed that both Gio and Phoebe were both lucky to have Brook Lynn in their lives. Brook Lynn concealed her worry that they could lose the baby should her part in Jordan’s accident come to light.

Before going backstage to get ready for his performance, Michael James Scott extended an invite to Gio to return to play in Aladdin again. Emma raved to Gio about the amazing opportunity, but he said that performing like that wasn’t something he’d considered before. Across the club, Kai told Trina how much fun he had visiting Derek in the hospital, and Molly and Cody pondered whether traveling together on her book tour would strain their relationship, but he assured her that he was looking forward to spending time together.

Ava, Lucas, and Jenz arrived just in time for Curtis to introduce Michael, who performed a jazz version of “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin. After the performance, Trina and Kai sneaked out for some alone time. Lucas told Ava that as Pascal continued to project his grief over Marco onto him, the butler’s behavior was becoming increasingly more inappropriate. Disturbed, Ava considered bringing the situation up to Jenz. Gio confided in Emma that when he could find the same joy in music as Michael had, he’d know he was ready to play again. Sidwell surreptitiously phoned Pascal to make sure the situation had been handled.

Captive Audience

Trina and Kai returned home to her apartment, which was clear of any signs of the earlier struggle between Josslyn and Cassius (aside from the candlestick now sitting on the coffee table instead of by the door), and retreated to her bedroom to make love. Meanwhile, Josslyn regained consciousness to find herself being held captive in the same hidden room under Wyndemere where Anna had been held. As she raged at “Nathan” to let her go, Cassius watched from the other side of the window, holding his injured ribs.
