General Hospital Recap: Alexis Threatens to Expose Willow as Drew Plots Against Jack Brennan

Comments

On General Hospital on August 27, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) hit a nerve with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Molly (Kristen Vaganos) advised Chase (Josh Swickard) not to go looking for trouble, Justine (Nazneen Contractor) got a surprise when she showed up for Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) barbecue, Rocco (Finn Carr) and Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) grew closer, and Drew (Cameron Mathison) enlisted Ava’s (Maura West) help in seeking revenge. Keep on reading for the details.

Monsters, Inc.

Alexis confronted Willow about trying to kill Drew. Alexis warned that while she would stay silent for now, if Willow made any trouble for Kai and Trina, she would go public with everything she knew, ensuring that Willow lost both her children and her political career.

Willow claimed she’d just been bluffing to scare Kai into keeping quiet, then blamed Drew for all of the mistakes she’d made. Despite Willow’s cries that everything she’d done had been to keep her children, Alexis refused to give her any sympathy and hit a nerve when she said the kids needed a mother who didn’t blackmail and try to murder people.

Alexis questioned if Willow would tell Wiley and Amelia when they got older that she’d framed their father and tried to kill their stepfather. Willow argued that she needed to fight to stay in her children’s lives because Michael would poison them against her if he gained full custody. Growing impatient with the circular conversation, Alexis snapped, “You want to go slay all the monsters, have at it. But just remember — you are a monster, too.”

Unsolved Mystery

On her way to Sonny’s for what she thought was dinner with just him and Donna, Justine stopped by Alexis’s house to drop off files to Molly. Molly was surprised that her boss had previously spent time with Sonny and Donna and questioned if it was a good idea, but Justine smiled that she could handle Sonny.

Chase later dropped by to speak with Molly about Jordan and Curtis’s car accident, wanting to help the Ashford family find closure. Molly said that the evidence didn’t specifically link Isaiah to the accident, nor did she believe he was responsible, and it would be a long shot to find the other driver. Molly encouraged him to let it go.

Meat and Greet

Sonny’s family gathered at his house for the barbecue. When Ava dropped off Avery, she and Sonny butted heads over their daughter, and she got upset when he insulted her while rushing her out the door.

Sonny asked why Ric hadn’t proposed to Elizabeth, and thought his brother made the right call in deciding to take things slowly. Ric managed to rein in his jealousy over Elizabeth and Dante’s interactions at the party, and Elizabeth told Ric that she was happy to see him getting closer with his family.

Gio and Emma overheard Michael and Brook Lynn arguing about Willow moving into the gatehouse and its potential impact on Brook Lynn and Chase’s marriage. Gio jumped to his mother’s defense, but Brook Lynn didn’t want him to be angry with Michael on her behalf.

Later, Gio wondered if he’d made a fool out of himself by butting in, but Emma was sure Brook Lynn appreciated how he’d stuck up for her. Emma added she was happy that Gio and his mom had grown closer.

Once Justine arrived at Sonny’s house, she was shocked to find the living room full of family members. She apologized for intruding and tried to make a quick exit, but Donna fessed up to having sent the invitation against her father’s wishes and convinced Justine to stay.

Help Wanted

Disappointed when Drew bailed on their dinner plans, Scout made up a lie to her nanny and asked Rocco to hang out. After making an excuse to leave his grandfather’s party, Rocco secretly met Scout at the boathouse, where the teens continued to grow closer.

Meanwhile, Drew met Ava at the Metro Court Gardens, where she griped about the way Sonny had treated her. Before they could move forward with their plan to tank Sonny, Drew needed to deal with a personal situation with Jack Brennan. He asked Ava to keep Jack occupied so he could search the WSB chief’s hotel room, suggesting she invite Jack for a drink under the guise of telling him she’d seen something “concerning” while at Wyndemere with Jenz Sidwell. Ava worried that lying to a WSB agent would come back to bite her, but ultimately agreed.

Bright Future

Up in Trina’s apartment, Kai came clean to Trina about Willow’s threats. Trina was scared that Willow would retaliate, but Kai assured her that Alexis would back them if Willow attempted to implicate him. Although they both wished they’d come forward sooner, neither of them regretted having given Michael the affidavits.

With Kai not working for Willow anymore, they vowed to steer clear of her and Drew’s chaos and focus on their relationship. Kai commented that he was looking forward to Trina and Gio’s upcoming show, then would figure out what he wanted to do for work.
