General Hospital Comings & Goings: Bryce Durfee Returns as Vaughn!
General Hospital pulled off a surprise return on the Friday, July 2 episode when Bryce Durfee reprised the role of WSB Agent Vaughn. The character was last seen in November 2025 being carted off by WSB agents on orders from Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).
Agent Vaughn Returns
Durfee made his GH debut on March 7, 2025. Vaughn was first seen at a WSB training facility working with new recruit Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). “That first day was just a whirlwind!” Durfee recalled to Digest of his early experience on the show. “I kind of felt like I got thrown into a washing machine and I got spit out an hour later [laughs]. That’s kind of how I remember that first day.”
Over the course of several months, Vaughn and Joss developed a forbidden romance — forbidden because the WSB does not permit personal relationships between its agents. “I would say we had instant chemistry,” Durfee told Digest of his working relationship with Eden McCoy. “We just have a really easy dialogue between us.”
Josslyn and Vaughn became lovers and did their best to keep their relationship under wraps, but they were found out and Brennan ordered them to stop seeing each other. When they failed to comply, Jack had Vaughn forcibly removed from Josslyn’s life.
Now, eight months later, Vaughn sidled back into town — specifically, into the PCPD, where he paid a visit to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Vaughn and Britt first crossed paths in the summer of 2025, when Vaughn and Joss posed as honeymooners to infiltrate the Five Poppies resort in Croatia, where Britt was secretly working for Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to complete Faison’s (Anders Hove) cold fusion project.
Vaughn pressed Britt to cooperate with the WSB, reminding her that the agency knew about her involvement in the developing the cold fusion prototype. He then met with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) to discuss the status of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Valentin Casssadine (James Patrick Stuart).
A GH rep confirms that Durfee’s return is short-term, with Vaughn slated to appear in two episodes. Will he share scenes with Josslyn before he leaves town again? Stay tuned!
