Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS) Raises Awareness With Daytime Cares

In addition to her new podcast, Everything From A to Z, Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS) is keeping busy putting her charitable efforts into Daytime Cares (www.daytimecares.com), a website that has been created to drive awareness and donations to non-profits, give voice to local charitable efforts and group volunteerism, shine a spotlight on everyday heroes, and assist where possible individuals who are struggling for answers and resources during the pandemic. “Sonia [Blangiardo-Goins, DAYS director] and Bob Wall [media sales/marketing executive] talked about creating a website where people could go to sort of have a mash of non-profits that are doing an amazing job right now during this pandemic and to help direct people,” explains Zucker. “We’re just starting at this point of, ‘How we can better help all of our communities?’ We just wanted to do something more from home because all we can do is sit here and hope we can help.” The goal is to help as many people as possible who need answers about how they can get help during this difficult time. “It’s about creating a community of people who very much want to be a voice for those who just don’t know what to do,” she says. “We are going to be recoding a video this coming Monday with two financiers about some really basic questions that we’ve been getting on the website. We’re going to be speaking with them and putting that up on the website. If someone has an idea, they can email us and we can try to figure out a way to answer the question and get it to you if it’s within our reach. We’re all doing this together, so we’re just trying to find that common ground where we can do our best. That’s kind of how this started. It’s been a pretty exciting adventure. I find it very fulfilling because it at least gives me something that I really love to do. I can’t go out and volunteer, so how can I do it from home?” To get involved, head to www.daytimecares.com. “There are some organizations on the website,” adds Zucker. “We’re not partnering with them. We don’t touch any money. It all goes through the links that you click to get to the organizations. It’s all isolated in one website instead of everyone having to search, so that’s our goal is to make that grow. It could be for the long haul. We don’t know. This is that kind of website that’s just going to keep building and keep growing and keep offering any kind of information that we can to help people out there.”
