General Hospital Recap: Valentin Vows to Get Answers About Jack as Danny Catches Scout Kissing Rocco
On General Hospital on Monday, October 26, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) signed divorce papers, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) caught Rocco (Finn Carr) kissing Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski), and Drew (Cameron Mathison) proposed an alliance with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) against Lulu (Alexa Havins). Meanwhile, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) told Carly (Laura Wright) they needed figure out what really happened Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), and Curtis (Donnell Turner) received upsetting news. The Finish Line
In the Dominican Republic, an emotional Brook Lynn and Chase hesitated to sign their divorce papers. They admitted to the judge that neither of them wanted to get divorced, but insisted too much had happened between them to stay married. Full of emotion and a bit of regret, Chase and Brook Lynn ultimately signed the documents.
While the judge was filing the divorce, Chase and Brook Lynn agreed to split custody of Phoebe 50/50. Then, after the judge gave each a copy of the paperwork, Chase said a sorrowful goodbye to Brook Lynn and left. “Goodbye, Chase,” she glumly whispered in the empty room.
Brook Lynn flew back home to Port Charles alone while Chase went to the beach, and they separately remembered their happier times together and mourned the end of their marriage. With tears in his eyes, Chase buried his wedding ring in the sand, while an equally devastated Brook Lynn removed her rings on the airplane.
Kiss — and Tell?
Jason informed Danny that Rocco would be helping with Tracy’s chore list because he and Dante thought it was a good idea for the teens to spend time together. Danny wasn’t a fan of this plan and told Rocco as much when he later arrived at the stables. Rocco said he’d tell his father it wasn’t going to work if that’s what Danny wanted.
When Scout entered to see Rocco, Danny assumed his sister was there to see him. He told Scout to go home because he’d heard that Drew was on the property.
Danny left to do one last chore, and Scout breathed a sigh of relief over the close call. Rocco groaned that they needed to be more careful and ended up telling a stunned Scout that he had overheard Drew threaten to send her away to boarding school.
Moments after the teens reaffirmed that no one could know they were seeing each other, Danny returned to the stables and froze in shock at the sight of Rocco and Scout kissing!
Hard Knocks
Drew sneaked onto the Quartermaine gatehouse to see Willow and suggested that they work together against Lulu, arguing that as much as they loathed each other, it was best for them both if Lulu was forced to admit she had no hard evidence that Willow was drugging Drew. He proposed they issue a joint statement denying Lulu’s allegations.
Before Willow could agree to the deal, Jason barged into the gatehouse, having been notified by Yuri that Drew was on the property. Jason ordered his brother to leave, and remained calm as Drew needled him.
After Drew left, Jason warned Willow that taking whatever deal Drew was offering would undercut her truce with Michael. He added that if Willow continued to keep the peace with Michael, the Qs would meet her halfway — but if she made things hard, the family would make the situation hard on her.
Banner Advice
Curtis was disappointed when Monet said he was being transferred back to Pentonville, but she felt it would work to their advantage for the appeal that he wasn’t in a lower-security facility. Monet told him to keep his head down while she worked on the case, and Curtis seethed that Sonny was getting away with nearly killing him and Sidwell.
Later, Drew stopped by the hospital to meet with Monet and Curtis. He thought getting public opinion on Curtis’s side was a good idea, but using Aurora was a conflict of interest and he was dealing with his own PR headache after Lulu’s article, so it would be better to put distance between himself and Curtis. Curtis agreed, and Drew offered to call Kevin Buchanan at The Banner (shout-out One Life to Live!) to cover Curtis’s story instead.
Monet stepped out to take a phone call, and Curtis told Drew that he didn’t like playing the PR game but was willing to do it to get out of prison and get home to Desmond.
Search and Rescue
At the Port Charles Grill, Lulu overheard Valentin and Carly talking about Charlotte, and was angry to learn her daughter had been texting with Carly. Tracy arrived at the restaurant and pulled Lulu away as the conversation was getting heated.
Valentin lamented to Carly about the emotional distance between him and Charlotte. He was relieved his daughter was asking Carly for updates on everyone but regretted that he’d taken away her close friendship with Danny by sending Charlotte to boarding school.
Across the room, Lulu told Tracy that Willow had called her bluff, so she had to print a retraction or go to court. Since Sidwell was claiming that his quotes were given in a medication-fueled fantasy, Lulu noted that if she found evidence that the WSB had a paralytic drug and connected that to Brennan, she could prove what she wrote was true.
Tracy convinced her to ask Valentin and Carly for help, so Lulu returned to their table and apologized for overreacting about Charlotte. She then asked for their help in her defense, and Valentin agreed to ask the WSB researchers about a paralytic drug.
As Lulu reported back to Tracy that Carly and Valentin were on board, Carly wondered why Valentin didn’t tell Lulu they already knew the drug existed. Valentin replied that he didn’t want that info getting out now because it would look bad for Nina, and they needed time to find evidence that didn’t implicate his ex-wife.
Valentin then told Carly he thought it was time they consider the possibility that someone had done away with Jack. “If we want to help Lulu, we need to figure out what happened to Jack Brennan,” he declared.
