“Wow, that’s an intense question! Where do we start? If it weren’t for the show, I wouldn’t have been able to get married, I wouldn’t have been able to go to Italy on my honeymoon, I wouldn’t have been able to meet friends that would last with me for the rest of my life. It completely changed my life. It’s weird to say that it made my life, but it really did. It gave me something that I needed during a really dark time, as well. It gave me something to look forward to, and eventually gave me something to remind myself that I’m lucky I have a job and I’m lucky I have this life.”

“It’s opened a lot of doors for me to grow as a person. And because of the amount of work that we put in, it’s allowed me to really train my instrument. I hear all these amazing stories. It’s been very touching, especially with my story, with Sonny being openly gay and telling this love story and the love triangle, and hearing the positive feedback. How it’s helped people has been super-rewarding. It’s just been a tremendous experience and I’m so blessed to be on the show and continue to move forward and tell great stories.”

“I have been humbled by having people witness my work and seeing the impact that it has had on other people in completely other parts of the country and the world.”

“It has been a gift in every way. So much of the life of an actor is wondering, ‘What’s next?’ It feels so good not to have to wonder or worry about that, to know where I’m going every day and to get to focus on the heavy lifting of the storytelling. It has given me consistent challenge, consistent creativity and consistent inspiration.”

“I have gray hair now, and I’m 26 [laughs]! No, I’m kidding. I’ve started having encounters where, like, your waiter at dinner says they love GH. You get to meet fans at non-fan events, and those moments are so fun for me. I’ve never worked harder in my life and so my sleep is lighter and my hours are longer, but I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s a blessing to meet the fans and that I get to work and pay my bills. No complaints over here!”

Scott Clifton (Liam, B&B)
“Aside from my wife and son, this job is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have learned so much about acting because I’ve gotten to work with some of the most talented people in this business. I’ve established lifelong relationships. I’ve traveled all over the world, and I get to do what I love every day. Who gets to say that? And since I have no other discernible, real-life skill set, I am eternally grateful.”

“It has changed me in so many ways. The show has humbled me. It has grounded me, for sure. It makes you appreciate what you do and how you do it because we work so hard. It has certainly made me even more professional. This show challenges me in a way where I’m tasked with things that I think may be impossible but somehow I manage to do it. Ditto with memorizing the amount of dialogue we do in a day, and developing the ability to access emotions so quickly. Obviously, I’ve learned so much more about fashion, and I have had the opportunity to travel. I’ve been incredibly lucky to work on a show for 10 years, which is so rare for an actor. I get to live in L.A., so I am very grateful. It has changed me for the better.”

“It has allowed me to follow my dreams of being an actress and having a family. I used to think you had to choose, but on Y&R you can have it all!”
