The 411
Born and raised in the small town of Littleton, Colo., Molly Burnett grew up in the Denver community theater world. She tackled the roles of Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mayzie in Seussical, Annie in Annie and Dotty in Noises Off.
In high school, Burnett began pursuing her musical aspirations as a member of her school's a capella jazz ensemble. She was chosen to perform in the Colorado All-State Choir, All-State Jazz Choir and the National Honor Choir in Los Angeles. She was also a member of the speech and debate team, competing in the humorous interpretation division. She went on to compete and place at the national tournament.
After graduating, Burnett moved to New York. However, she quickly realized that in order to pursue her dreams of acting in television and film, she needed to be in Hollywood, and relocated to the West Coast. Burnett soon landed an agent and manager, and then her first audition with DAYS OF OUR LIVES. She was speedily cast in the role of Melanie Leyton, Max's long-lost sister.
Burnett admits to missing Colorado, but often goes back home to visit her parents and younger brother. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, decorating, and all things Harry Potter. The actress is currently dating her DAYS co-star, Casey Jon Deidrick (Chad).

Look Who's Talking
"My poor grandma. In her nursing home, they watch DAYS every day. I just absolutely spaced and forgot to call her and warn her not to watch [the day Melanie and Philip had sex]. So she saw it. She called my dad and was like, 'What was Molly doing on the television?' It was awful." —Soap Opera Weekly, 10/27/09
