The 411
Jennifer Ferrin won the role of Jennifer on AS THE WORLD TURNS within a week of graduating from the North Carolina School of Arts with a degree in drama. She was no stranger to television, however, having played Esther, the younger version of Vanessa Redgrave's character in THE LOCKET, a Hallmark Hall of Fame film. She also guest starred on the 2002 season finale of DAWSON'S CREEK. In her spare time she likes to go for a run, head to the movies, hang out with her friends and her brother, and go to see live music.
Et Cetera
—Planned to move to New York after graduation because she thought it more actor-friendly than L.A.
—Loves living in New York because she is able to walk everywhere and also see one of her brothers, who also lives there.
—Expected to make no money with her acting degree and planned to temp or teach aerobics — anything to avoid waiting tables.
—Considers dramatic, emotional scenes to be one of her strong points.
—Watched ONE LIFE TO LIVE in college.

Memorable Quotes
"I am the kind of person who barrels through everything and makes it all work. Then you stop for a second and go, 'Wow. I live in a city by myself. I have a professional job. A lot of the people that are closest to me are far away.'" — Soap Opera Weekly, 4/20/2004
"It is more fun to come in where there is conflict than to do a happy family with no problems. That's my life — I have a happy family with no problems. I like to play something else." — Weekly, 4/20/2004
