Monday
Steffy was devastated when she learned that Rick gave Eric's designs to
Jackie M. "I did it for us," he insisted, but she didn't quite believe it.
"That's really gonna make them accept us," he sighed. Rick argued that their
families weren't going to accept them, anyway. Steffy was certain that Rick
would soon be found out, but he was confident that he could turn Jackie M
into a first-class fashion house. He looked forward to working at that
company with Steffy. However, she accused him of using her and explained
that if Ridge would be devastated if she worked for Jackie M. Rick thought
she'd want to go along with his scheme because they love each other, but
Steffy called his love "sick." She pleaded with him to come clean. "There is
no 'us' anymore," she said sadly. Rick agreed to tell Eric everything.
Meanwhile, Katie was upset with Nick for producing Forrester's designs,
while Jackie was pleased with the turn of events. Nick was concerned about
Katie's negative reaction. He kept calling her and pleading with Katie to
call him back. Brooke urged Katie to call back Nick, but Katie was still
furious with him and wondered if she could be with someone who hadn't been
completely honest with her.
Eric and Ridge vowed to find out who was responsible. Ridge was confident
that Forrester would come back from it. Later, Ridge asked Brooke and Katie
if Nick had said who'd given him the designs. Ridge was worried about Eric
and was determined to get to the bottom of everything. Eric concluded that
someone from the inside had betrayed them. Later, Steffy broke down as she
thought about Rick.... Brooke was concerned about Katie, but Ridge wasn't
surprised that Nick would do something behind Katie's back. Brooke had faith
that Ridge could help Eric make another collection; after she said some
encouraging words, they kissed... Rick confessed to Eric that he was the
traitor. Eric couldn't believe it. Rick explained that he felt as if he'd
never be accepted by the Forresters and couldn't take it anymore. Therefore,
he'd sent the collection in exchange for a job with Nick. "You did this to
your father?" whispered Eric. "I'm sorry," Rick shrugged. "You committed a
crime against me and your family," Eric replied, then accused Rick of acting
like a certain, less-mature age. "I don't even know you anymore," Eric spat.
"You are no Ridge Forrester." Ouch! Eric then angrily knocked everything off
his desk. Yikes.
Tuesday
Jackie kept asking Nick who sent the designs but he wouldn't give up a name
so she was certain Stephanie betrayed Forrester Creations. The banker showed
up and voiced concerns that Nick and Jackie would still be able to pay on
their loans since their successful showing could be just a flash in the pan.
After the banker left, Jackie went into panic mode but Nick assured that
their new president will bring Jackie M plenty of publicity and success.
Rick was angry and hurt that Eric played obvious favorites with Ridge. Rick
promised that he was walking out and Eric will never have to deal with him
again. "I realize now that I'm a huge disappointment to you and I don't
blame you for hating me," Rick declared, then started beating up on himself
for "robbing" his own father and causing so much trouble for the company.
When Rick tried to leave, Eric stopped him. "I want you here with me," Eric
insisted and vowed that no one would ever find out that Rick is the traitor.
Rick had to admit that Steffy knows but Eric said he would make sure no one
else would ever be the wiser. Eric called Nick and asked him to meet on the
Forrester jet. Rick was confused at what his father was up to. After
blasting Rick for their predicament, Eric emotionally proclaimed, "I'm your
father and I love you."
After having sex in his office, Ridge and Brooke laid naked on his couch and
discussed Eric's pirated collection. "Who ever leaked those designs will
have hell to pay," Ridge growled. Their afterglow was interrupted when Ridge
got an urgent call so he had to dress and leave. Knowing he would be back
soon, Brooke got dressed in a sexy negligee but of course Stephanie barged
in. "Why do you always have to come in here when I'm in my underwear?"
Brooke huffed but Steph dissed Brooke for distracting Ridge when he has a
lot of important designing to do. Ridge returned and while Brooke was out of
the room changing, both he and Stephanie surmised that Rick was the one who
stole the designs.
Eric and Rick met Nick on the Forrester jet where Eric proposed that he
wouldn't file a lawsuit against Jackie M and that the collection was theirs
to keep if Nick releases Rick from their deal. "What's it going to be?"
Eric asked.
Wednesday
At Jackie's office, Bridget was thrilled to spend time with little Jack.
Jackie wondered what everyone's lives would've been like if Bridget and Nick
didn't lose their baby daughter Nicole. Bridget assured Jackie that she was doing
fine and "moving on" with her life. Jackie then explained that she was
desperately searching for a new head designer, someone who can keep wowing
the fashion industry. Bridget admitted she was anxious to find something new
to shake up her own life and Jackie wished her luck in finding that. After
Bridget departed, Jackie looked through a stack of portfolios for a designer
but was unhappy with what she was seeing. She then encountered a book of
sketches that showed promise and piqued her interest.
"It has to be Rick," insisted Stephanie about the identity of the Forrester
traitor. "I think he's capable of doing anything." Ridge couldn't fathom why
Rick would resort to such thievery but Stephanie was convinced of her
suspicions but worried how it would affect Eric if it turned out to be true.
Ridge pointed out that they needed proof.
On the grounded Forrester jet, Nick asked what Rick wanted do: Come to
Jackie M or stay at Forrester. Nick was surprised when Steffy boarded the
plane and Eric explained that she is the only other person to know about the
deal Rick made with Nick. Rick then informed Nick that he wanted to stay at
Forrester so Marone assured Eric that he will keep Rick's secret. "We've got
a deal," Nick affirmed and shook hands with Eric. Rick and Eric returned to
Forrester Creations, where Eric announced that he was closing the case on who
stole the designs. Ridge immediately exploded that Eric was covering up for
"little Ricky!" Furious, Stephanie demanded of Eric, "Why are you protecting
him?" Eric insisted that he trusted Rick and that there will be "no more
finger pointing in this company." After Rick and Steph left, Rick urged his
dad to fire him but Eric refused and ordered, "This conflict between my sons
is going to stop." Rick agreed and they stated their love for each other.
Bridget encountered Steffy, who painfully explained that her relationship
with Rick is over. Steffy said that she couldn't stop loving him, but insisted that "it's not meant to be."
Nick returned to Jackie M and announced to his mother that Eric wasn't
taking legal action against them. Jackie was overjoyed, until he also
revealed that they weren't getting their new president. She then wanted to
know who that was going to be but Nick wouldn't tell. Back at Forrester,
Stephanie cornered Rick and growled, "You sabotaged this company ... Shame
on you." She then threatened that she would bring Rick down.
Thursday
Ridge and Stephanie hounded Eric to not protect Rick but Eric announced that
the case was close. Eric then tracked down Steffy and asked her never to say
anything about what Rick has done. Steffy was shocked to hear that Eric had
forgiven his son. "You're letting him get away with it?" she sneered but
Eric pointed out that he loves Rick. "He's a really good person," Eric
noted.
Nick and Jackie were unimpressed with Clarke's latest designs. Jackie
explained that they need to hire another designer to help out. She showed
Nick the sketches of a promising new designer and that she arranged a lunch
meeting with the unnamed person. After Jackie scampered off, Katie showed up
and was still obviously miffed over him producing the stolen Forrester
designs. Nick defended his actions and insisted that he can never share his
Jackie M work with Katie. She asked if he would accept the Forrester designs
if he had to do it over again and Nick said he would do "whatever it takes"
to protect his family and that includes family. They hugged but she started
voicing her concern about Bridget. Nick assured that he loves Katie.
Bridget checked on Rick and he admitted that he and Steffy are over. Bridget
asked what happened and would only say that "I blew it." Rick later
encountered Ridge who insisted that Rick is the traitor. "You're pathetic,"
Ridge blasted then refused to accept Rick's offer to make peace. After,
Ridge commiserated with Stephanie as he fumed about how much he hated Rick.
Meanwhile, Steffy told Rick that she understood his grievous actions a
little more now. Rick was obviously pained that their relationship was over
but was shocked when Steffy lovingly took his arm. Oops ... Stephanie walked
up to the open door and saw them.
Jackie was surprised to walk into the restaurant to find Bridget sitting
alone at a table. She asked Jackie to join her but Ms. Marone said she had
an appointment with a new designer. Bridget then admitted that she was the
one who created the sketches and explained to a shocked Jackie that she hid
her talent because she came from a family full of creative people. But her
childhood dream has always been to be a fashionista and asked Jackie for a
job. Jackie was hesitant to do so because of the problems it could cause
within the Forresters. Bridget assured she could handle her family and
Jackie hired her. The women agreed to keep the arrangement a secret for now.
"Welcome aboard, Bridget," Jackie giggled.
Friday
Ridge was in a foul mood as he tried to ready another collection. Stephanie
waltzed in and got her son more riled up about Rick getting away with
hijacking the designs. "You concentrate on work, I'll take care of Rick,"
Stephanie declared and after she left on her mission, Brooke showed up with
take-out and some kisses. Ride ruined the mood by grousing that his dad
called off the investigation into who stole the designs. Ridge then revealed
that Rick was the guilty party but, of course, Brooke refused to believe the
allegation. "That is an insult, Ridge," Brooke wailed and was peeved to hear
that Stephanie was also on the bandwagon to blame Rick. Ridge warned that
Brooke's son needed help.
As Bridget packed up her doctor office, Steffy appeared and asked what
Bridget was doing. She explained she was taking a leave of absence from
medicine. Steffy then confessed that she and Rick weren't ready to end their
relationship. "We love each other," Steffy insisted. "I have never felt this
way before." Bridget deemed this as a "no win situation" and urged Steffy to
cut Rick loose. Bridget had to leave and Steffy was heartened when she
received a text from Rick that he missed her.
Bridget visited her dad at Forrester and told him about her leave of absence
for "a big change." He wished her luck and they hugged. Bridget was
concerned when Eric fretted that Rick was headed for a mental breakdown.
"I'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid," Bridget assured.
In his office, a tortured Rick thought about Steffy and a way they could be
together. Stephanie came in and said that Rick was wanted down in the
cutting room. After he left, Stephanie started snooping through his
appointment book when she spotted a message from Steffy on his computer to
meet her at the beach house. Stephanie charged out of the office and Rick
returned. He was thrilled to see Steffy's message and headed out. Meanwhile,
Stephanie let herself into the beach house and hid out of sight. Rick soon
followed, then Steffy. "I can't stop thinking about you," Steffy lamented.
Stephanie watched unnoticed from another room as Steffy and Rick
passionately kissed.
