Devon’s Genoa City Journey

2004: Lily Winters (Christel Khalil, r.) met surly Devon, who was living in foster care. When Devon was going to be shipped off to a harsher facility, Lily’s parents, Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) and Neil (Kristoff St. John), took in Devon, and he flourished in their household.

2005: Devon’s mother, Yolanda (Chene Lawson), had a long history of drug abuse, so when he found her in the park, homeless and still getting high, he was determined to help. Yolanda got clean and bonded with her son. She was smitten with Neil, but when she came on to him, he shut her down. Humiliated, Yolanda moved to Seattle.

2006: Devon contracted meningitis. He almost died and the disease left him deaf. Devon’s loved ones learned sign language, and Neil and Dru officially adopted him.

2006: When Neil and Dru’s marriage hit a rough patch, he got cozy with Carmen (Marisa Ramirez). Devon blamed her for his parents’ problems and angrily confronted her. When Carmen turned up dead, Devon was one of the main suspects and was arrested. While out on bail, he was fitted with a cochlear device that allowed him to hear.

2007: Devon was exonerated for Carmen’s murder and he started dating sweet Roxanne (Tatyana Ali). Tragedy hit the Winters family when Dru fell off a cliff to her presumed death.

2008: Devon’s Aunt Tyra (Eva Marcille) showed up in Genoa City with her daughter, Ana (Jamia Simone Nash). It later turned out that Yolanda was the little girl’s mother but was raised by Tyra, meaning Ana was Devon’s half sister.

2009: Devon’s Great Aunt Virginia (Della Reese) dropped another bombshell — his mother and Tyra weren’t biologically related, just childhood best friends. That meant Tyra had no blood ties to the Hamilton family, and she had sex with Devon! Tyra and Ana left Genoa City together.

2010: After Lily survived a battle with cancer, she could no longer bear children. Mackenzie served as her and Cane’s surrogate and gave birth to twins Matilda and Charlie. The Ashbys asked Devon and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) to serve as godparents and they happily agreed.

2011: Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) hired Paul to search for her son, Tucker McCall’s, love child, who he’d never met. Paul’s search led to a clean Yolanda, now going by the name Harmony, and he discovered that she got pregnant with Devon by Tucker. Although Devon eventually accepted his new family, he still considered Neil to be his true dad.

2012: Neil, Tucker (Stephen Nichols) and Harmony (Debbi Morgan) were by Devon’s side as he underwent surgery to install transducers inside his ears so he wouldn’t have to wear his cochlear device. Devon was upset when it seemed the operation had failed but his hearing was eventually  restored. Harmony left town to be near Ana.

2013: After Tucker moved to Hong Kong, (from near r.) Cane (Daniel Goddard), Lily, Devon, Esther (Kate Linder), Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) were stunned by the news that Katherine had passed away. At the reading of her will, Devon was bequeathed over $2 billion.

2014: Neil married Hilary (Mishael Morgan), not knowing that she was in love with his son. Devon carried on an affair with his stepmother, and the situation blew up when Neil found out.

2015: Devon and Hilary tied the knot but she disappeared during their honeymoon, and the groom was suspected of murdering his bride. In reality, Hilary fell down a cliff and was rendered comatose from a head injury so Neil, who unintentionally caused the accident, had her secretly treated. Hilary woke up, reunited with Devon after her memory returned, and Neil finally accepted their relationship, which healed the rift between father and son.

2016: Devon was so enraged over an exploitative story about Jack and Phyllis on GC BUZZ that he bought the tabloid show from owner Howard Green (David Faustino). Devon appointed his wife as the host with the intention of changing its image, but after low ratings, Hilary urged him to return to the gossipy format.

2017: After dumping Hilary because of her deceit and manipulations, Devon was almost killed in a horrific car crash. He recovered but his marriage to Hilary did not.

Devon recently started dating GC BUZZ co-worker and friend Mariah (Camryn Grimes).
