11 Soap Star Duos Who Played Lovers on Multiple Soaps

Roger Howarth and Michelle Stafford had crazy chemistry as Franco Baldwin and Nina Reeves on GH back in the mid-2010s. Stafford returned to Y&R as Phyllis Summers in 2019, and when Howarth joined the cast in 2025 as Matt Clark, the CBS sudser soon threw the two Daytime Emmy-winning actors back together.

All My Children paired Elizabeth Hendrickson's Maggie with Jeff Branson's Jonathan back in 2004, but he was abusive, and the pair split up. Hendrickson joined Y&R to play Chloe Mitchell in 2008, and in 2010, Branson did the same to play Ronan. Their new characters became romantically involved, but the relationship fizzled out.

Laura Wright's Ally Rescott found love with Ted King's Danny Roberts when he joined the cast of Loving in 1995. The relationship continued into spinoff The City,. Then, when Wright took over the role of GH's Carly in 2005, King was already playing Carly's husband, Lorenzo Alcazar, but the characters divorced a month later.

Mason Capwell and Julia Wainwright were one of the signature duos on Santa Barbara from 1985-93. Julia's portrayer, Nancy Lee Grahn, landed on GH as Alexis, who was briefly romantically linked to Cameron Davies, played by Lane Davies (ex-Mason) from 2002-04.

Ethan Crane and Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald were already one of Passions's most popular pairings when Ethan was recast with Eric Martsolf in 2002, giving Lindsay Hartley a new leading man.
