10 Times The Young and the Restless Characters Crossed Over to Other Soap Operas

The most infamous and longest-running Y&R crossover was set in motion in 1992. On Y&R, infamous villain Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was presumed dead in a fire — and she promptly popped up, alive and well, on B&B. Once settled in Los Angeles, Sheila set her sights on Eric Forrester (John McCook).

As part of the Sheila crossover, B&B also hosted a visit from Y&R's Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman), who Sheila had tormented in Genoa City (by stealing her newborn son, among other horrible deeds). Lauren made her first B&B appearance in 1992, and it was revealed that she was old family friends with Eric. She made multiple visits over the years, and Bregman (who is once again settled into Y&R) even became contract player on the show from 1995-99.

In 2005, Y&R's Michael, played by Christian J. LeBlanc (second from r.), was called to action as an attorney on As the World Turns. There, he represented Keith Morrissey (Kin Shriner, far r.), in a custody battle against Jack (Michael Park) and Carly (Maura West) looked on. LeBlanc actually made his daytime debut on ATWT, playing Kirk McColl from 1983-85.

Also in 2005, Y&R legend Jeanne Cooper (Katherine) visited B&B to share scenes with the equally iconic Susan Flannery, who played Stephanie Forrester, in which  Kay pored over some legal papers that proved Steph to be the sole owner of Forrester Creations.

From 2007-08, B&B welcomed Eileen Davidson into its contract cast as Ashley Abbott, the central Y&R character she originated in 1982. While living in Los Angeles, she had a romance with (and almost married) Ridge Forrester, then played by Ronn Moss. Davidson ultimately brought Ashley back to Genoa City.

A happy occasion — Justin Barber's (Aaron D. Spears, second from l.) wedding to Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) — brought his first cousin, Y&R's Olivia Barber (Tonya Lee Williams), over to B&B in 2011. Also pictured: Texas Battle as Marcus Forrester.

One of the grande dames of Y&R, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), crossed over to B&B in 2022. While Nikki was in Los Angeles, she confronted her ex-husband, Deacon Sharpe, played by Sean Kanan (who originated Deacon on B&B, then played him on Y&R for several years starting in 2009) and caught up with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Y&R's Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), a Genoa City fixture since 1982, popped up on B&B in 2023 to attend a Forrester fashion show — and shared a flirty dynamic with Charlie Webber, played by Dick Christie.

In August 2025, Bryton James's Devon paid his first visit to BTG's Fairmont Crest, sharing scenes with Karla Mosley's Dani.
