Who Is PK Sinclair on General Hospital? Everything You Need to Know About Faison’s Alias

Comments

Anna (Finola Hughes) has been kidnapped on General Hospital, and while she isn’t sure where she’s being held captive, she’s pretty sure she knows exactly who is behind her abduction. Although Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) is supposed to be quite dead, Anna seems convinced that the notorious supervillain is back and plotting to destroy Port Charles. Especially after seeing a copy of The Crystalline Conspiracy. But who is P.K. Sinclair, the author of that novel? Let us explain…

The Write Stuff

In the December 18 episode of GH, Anna discovered a small package taped to the underside of her meal tray after she finished eating. Unwrapping the paper, she was stunned to see a copy of the novel The Crystalline Conspiracy, written by P.K. Sinclair. Worse, inside, the book was signed “For my muse — C.” Horrified at the sight of the book and the signature, Anna flung the novel across the room. And there’s a very good reason for her to have such a reaction.

Longtime fans of GH will remember the name P.K. Sinclair as the alias used by Faison when he first appeared back in 1990. He was an author who penned the adventure novels The Alpine Express and The Crystalline Conspiracy. Both books starred the heroine Davnee, which was an anagram for Anna’s last name, Devane. The two stories were based on actual missions that Anna and Faison had tackled while she was a double agent, working for him at the DVX, the rival agency of the WSB.

Back in 1990, Faison saw Anna and Robert’s (Tristan Rogers) adolescent daughter, Robin (Kimberly McCullough), on Tiffany Hill’s (Sharon Wyatt) TV show, displaying the unique crystal she’d found on a school trip to Spoon Island. Puffing on a cigar, he mused that the young woman reminded him of someone. Faison was on a quest to get his hands on the powerful crystal in Robin’s possession (it was in three pieces, and he already had one of them), so he headed to Port Charles. As Sinclair, he rented Wyndemere from Ned (Wally Kurth), and the Quartermaine matriarch, Lila, was starstruck by the arrival of her favorite author.

Faison and Anna already shared a tortured history, dating back to when he recruited her to work for the DVX. Faison’s obsession with Anna had taken root then, while Anna despised the man, blaming her association with him for blowing up her first marriage to Robert, a story that was told in newly recreated flashbacks to establish just what a menace the villain was. When Anna came face to face with “Sinclair” at Wyndemere, she immediately recognized him as her old foe and was chilled to the bone!

Back then, Anna was able to triumph over Faison, with a little help from Robert and Sean (John Reilly), and stop him from causing mass destruction with those crystals — but like a bad penny, he continued popping up over and over throughout the years, abducting Anna on multiple occasions, even going so far as to disguise himself as Anna’s dead husband, Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), to romance her, and attempting to kill the people she loves.

This isn’t the first time that P.K. Sinclair’s name has resurfaced on the soap, either. Back in 2018, viewers met Faison’s son, Henrik, who went by the name Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Both Anna and Peter were unaware at the time that his biological mother was Anna’s twin sister, Alex. He used the P.K. Sinclair pen name to author a book titled The Severed Branch, based on his own childhood and relationship with his father. The autobiographical elements of this book provided clues to those seeking to uncover Henrik’s true identity and ultimately helped to prove that he was none other than Peter, who had wormed his way in to Port Charles society. The main character was named Octavian Stone because Roman emperor Caesar Augustus was originally known as Octavian, and the Latin word for “stone” is “petra.” So Augustus Petra becomes Peter August.

As far as viewers know, Faison died in 2018 after being shot by Jason, and Peter perished in 2022. In both cases, the deaths appeared pretty definitive — Anna not only paid a visit to Faison in the morgue, but his brain was subsequently extracted from his corpse to undergo scientific testing by Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and seen in a jar, and Anna personally watched Peter take his final breath to ensure he was dead — but with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) both recently returned from the grave, who knows what else might be possible?

We know that Anna is being held somewhere in Wyndemere by Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and that he is involved in Faison’s mysterious final project that somehow involves cold fusion. But could Faison — or even Peter — actually be alive and involved as well? Or is Sidwell only taunting Anna with references to Cesar? Fans will have to continue watching and waiting as more clues are revealed before the mystery is eventually solved.
