Real Housewives of Atlanta Legend Kandi Burruss Guest Stars on Beyond the Gates
Kandi Burruss is bringing her star power to Beyond the Gates! The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum is guest-starring on the CBS daytime drama, stepping into the world of Fairmont Gates in the role of Kalista Kilroy. Her appearance will take place during the week of October 19.
Kandi Burruss Heads to Beyond the Gates
Burruss is the fourth star from the Real Housewives franchise to appear on Beyond the Gates. Karen Huger from The Real Housewives of Potomac popped up in the show’s premiere episode on February 24, 2025, while Huger’s castmates, Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo, notched their own cameos in December 2025.
In addition to her 14-season run on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Burruss is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, actress, producer and entrepreneur. She first entered the spotlight in the early 1990s as a member of the R&B group Xscape, whose hits included “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding.” As a songwriter, she is responsible for co-writing smash hits like TLC’s “No Scrubs” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills.”
Burruss’ previous acting credits include The Chi on Showtime and Broadway productions of Chicago and & Juliet. She also earned a Tony Award nomination as a producer of the 2022 Broadway revival of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson. And as if that’s not enough, she also won the third season of Fox’s The Masked Singer.
Also making a celeb cameo the same week as Burruss? Actress, social media star and entrepreneur Tabitha Brown, who will portray the role of Tia Allen.
Since its debut, Beyond the Gates has welcomed a diverse array of famous guest stars. In addition to the aforementioned Housewives, CBS News’ Gayle King and Entertainment Tonight‘s Nischelle Turner have both made cameos as themselves, and Jennifer Holliday, Kenny Lattimore and Keke Wyatt have all appeared as musical guests.
The show has also welcomed crossover cameos from The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) and The Young and the Restless‘ Eric Braeden (Victor), Bryton James (Devon), Peter Bergman (Jack), Susan Walters (Diane), Michael Mealor (Kyle) and Melissa Ordway (Abby).
