Quick Take With Courtney Hope
Sally is used to doing things for herself. How was it to have a knight in shining armor ride in and save her from jail and spare her company?
“Well, there could be worse things [laughs]. Yes, Sally does like to do everything for herself, but she was really down and out by that point. It was a blessing to have somebody do that for her.”
What does Sally think about Bill being the puppeteer behind Spectra’s near-demise?
“That was a complete and utter surprise. The unfortunate fallout of that is that she’d convinced herself that she wasn’t as good as she thought she was. It was a relief to find out that bad review was false, but Sally’s self-confidence took a real hit, and it may be difficult to restore that.”
How is she feeling about being business partners with her beau?
“It’s definitely a pendulum swing. She’s got Thomas around more, which she absolutely loves. Now, she wants to make it up to him. He lost a lot for saving her. The last thing she wants is to watch him break apart from his family. In Australia, she saw how close they all were. But, Thomas is a grown man and he’s going to do what he wants. She just wants to show that she supports him — and she hopes that he doesn’t end up regretting that decision and blaming her.”
Does Sally harbor resentment toward Shirley for pushing her to steal the designs in the first place?
“No. There have definitely been moments where she has been irritated with her Grams for sure, but Sally is a big girl. She has been raised by her grandmother and respects her, but she also has street smarts of her own and she made those terrible decisions.”
Why did she take all the blame for the Spectra gang since it was their idea?
“At the end of the day, Sally was the one who decided to steal and use her sister, and even though they went behind her back, Sally believed, ‘This is my family and since I had no one else growing up, these are the people I’m sticking with through thick and thin.’ And really, could you imagine Saul in jail [laughs]?”
