General Hospital Recap: Willow Reveals Her Master Plan To Drew, Chase Investigates Michael And More

Comments

The February 6 episode of General Hospital was full of discoveries! Chase (Josh Swickard) did some unofficial detective work that further implicated Michael (Rory Gibson) in Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) butted heads with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), Kristina (Kate Mansi) was stunned by Jacinda’s (Paige Herschell) latest move, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) angrily informed her husband how he’d driven her to such extremes, and more! Here’s how it all went down.

Sharp Tongues

After pondering Michael’s keys, Chase quickly pocketed them when Dante entered the kitchen looking for Rocco. When Chase asked how the follow-up questioning went with Michael, Dante reminded him he had already been demoted for overstepping before. Chase insisted that he still believed in justice, so Dante argued that in this house, they were family, not cops and suspects. But Chase pressed further, hoping that if evidence appeared linking Michael to Drew’s shooting, Dante wouldn’t shield his brother. As the acting police commissioner promised Chase he would follow the law, they were interrupted by Rocco, and Dante excused himself to take his son to the hospital. Chase took another look at the keys, then took off himself.

When Britt arrived late to work, and Liz told her she had patients waiting, she reminded the head nurse that she was no longer her supervisor. But Liz reported that Terry — the chief of staff who is her supervisor — was looking for her and wondered if she should tell her she was late because she was moonlighting at Wyndemere. Britt got defensive until Liz explained she and Lucas were just chatting when he mentioned that they’d barely made it off Spoon Island during the storm. To cover her real purpose for spending time on the island, Britt shared that she took the job at Wyndemere because she needed extra money to put her life back together and apologized to Liz for jumping down her throat.

War Zone

Dante brought Rocco to the hospital for his community service, and when Britt ran into them, she asked how it was going. Liz and Dante both made faces as Britt warned Rocco that she and her mother would be cheering him on at his next hockey game, and Liz quickly grabbed Rocco to get to work. After they left, Dante confronted Britt, angrily demanding, “How far do you think you can push me?” She didn’t see the problem with going to Rocco’s hockey game, but Dante didn’t see why she needed to pursue a relationship with his son at all. Britt had thought they’d come to a truce, but Dante reminded her that she stole seven months of his son’s life and clearly doesn’t care about the people she’s hurt. Britt argued that he only has Rocco because she helped bring him into the world, and added that the kid actually seems to like her. Dante countered that was because Rocco didn’t know the real Britt, and opined that she didn’t deserve to be in his life. Britt countered that Rocco wasn’t a child anymore and could make his own decisions about who was in his life. Dante pointed out how she’s still lying now, especially about her fake death and return, and didn’t want his son in danger because of her. She insisted she would always protect Rocco, and he suggested she do that by staying away.

Later, Liz returned, and Dante thanked her for getting Rocco out of there. Liz inquired why Britt had gotten under his skin so much today, and he said he feared Rocco was going to get hurt. She acknowledged that what Britt did to him and Lulu was awful, but mused that people change, and some people in town have grown to trust her. When Dante asked if she’d trust Britt with her own kids, Liz paused before carefully saying she didn’t think Britt would purposely endanger children. Opposite this, Rocco ran into Britt in the hall and asked if she even liked hockey, assuring her she didn’t have to feel obligated to come to his game. Britt said she was pretty busy anyway and told him she’d try to make the game but couldn’t promise anything. He joked that the team was terrible, so she’d be cheering for nothing, and Britt warned him to wear his mouth guard.

Plan B

Kristina joined Jacinda for yoga and revealed she’d actually heard about this teacher from Michael. Jacinda was surprised to learn Michael did yoga, but even more startled to learn he’d come to a custody arrangement with Willow. Kristina assumed Michael would have kept her in the loop, but Jacinda said he hadn’t, and wondered why, worrying that her criminal record had been used by Willow to force Michael into giving up custody. Kristina tried to reassure her, but Jacinda assumed Michael didn’t want to go to court and have their relationship work against him. Just then, Ezra appeared to casually ask Jacinda out for dinner, suggesting she could bring her friend along. Justine introduced Ezra to Kristina Corinthos-Davis, and Ezra awkwardly apologized, but insisted the offer of dinner was still open. He then excused himself to work out, and a visibly disgusted Kristina groaned, “I feel like I need to take a shower before class.”

Kristina wanted to go to yoga, but Jacinda wasn’t quite done and went over to Ezra to apologize for Kristina’s attitude. He apologized for putting her on the spot and mentioning her agency, but suggested that now that their affair was out in the open, they could be out in the open, too. Jacinda informed him that this wasn’t a good time, but suggested that her schedule might clear up in a month or two, and gave him her personal number to bypass the agency. Later, Kristina was stunned that she would give Ezra her number, and Jacinda shrugged that she didn’t make any promises, just like she and Michael hadn’t made any promises to each other. Kristina was confused, having thought things between them were good, but Jacinda admitted that while things were good now, nothing is guaranteed, so Ezra was a good backup plan. Kristina argued that she was underestimating Michael, but Jacinda felt she had to plan for a worst-case scenario. Kristina understood, but hoped Michael proved her wrong.

The Whole Truth and Nothing But

Willow was thrilled to finally be able to tell Drew to his face that she had shot him, then ranted about how she learned to fire a gun at Dawn of Day but never thought she ever would because she’s a good person and a nurse who helps people. “But that night I realized I had no other choice,” she hissed. “It was my only way to ever really be free of you.” Willow continued explaining that after finding out about his affair with her mother, she wanted to take a step back and focus on regaining custody of her children, but he just wouldn’t leave her alone. As Drew could only lie there, wide-eyed, Willow informed him she didn’t know what else to do, so she went to the Quartermaines’ and stole Edward’s gun, adding that she hoped she wouldn’t have to use it, but then Judge Heran was murdered. She reminded Drew how he’d interrupted her conversation with Chase, who had told her that Judge Heran had said that she was the key to getting her kids back, and it had nothing to do with Drew and his influence. Willow then got up in his face to ask if he’d had the judge killed or had someone else do it.

Chase arrived at Drew’s house and surreptitiously tried the keys on Michael’s keychain in the front door. Inside, Willow continued blasting Drew. “I know you’re capable of killing Judge Heran,” she shouted. “You are capable of anything so long as it keeps me dependent on you. Because that’s what this whole thing has been about, right? Manipulating me, using my children in any way you needed to keep me needing you, tied to you. Well, all of that ends now.” As Chase let himself into the house and pondered the key that had opened the door, Willow was angrily reminding Drew how he’d manipulated Wiley multiple times and paid the receptionist at the burn clinic to say Michael didn’t want to see her when she visited. Her angry ranting led to her tossing a metal tray onto the floor with a loud crash. She cried that he never loved her but just wanted to possess her, which is why he isolated her from everyone else. “And that is why I shot you,” she finished. “And my only regret is that you didn’t die!”

Hearing the crash, Chase rushed into the room to check on them. Willow quickly covered and said she accidentally knocked over the tray and scared everyone. She asked if she had left the front door unlocked, and Chase lied that she must have, adding that he’d stopped by to check on them. Willow suggested they talk in the living room and give Drew a chance to rest, shooting her husband a steely glare before following Chase out. Frozen in his bed, Drew could only look terrified as he processed her revelations and accusations.

Chase apologized for busting in, and when he blamed Michael for Willow’s current situation with Drew, she revealed they’d come to a custody arrangement. Chase was pleased, but warned her not to trust Michael. Returning to Drew’s room, Willow remarked that Chase was a good guy who could put aside his hate for Drew, unlike herself. She then informed her husband that he hadn’t had a stroke, revealing that she’d drugged him — and would continue doing so to keep him in this state. She explained that she planned to use his money and influence to forge a new life for herself with her kids, so she needed him to stay on this medication. With that, she injected it into his IV as Drew watched helplessly.

The Kids Are All Right

Michael apologized to Brook Lynn about the ongoing tension between him and Chase, then informed her that he had to tell the kids they’d be spending more time with their mom. Brook Lynn was stunned to learn that he and Willow had come to an arrangement and wondered why he didn’t just wait for the scheduled custody hearing. Michael explained he would rather agree to shared custody than go to court and potentially lose everything. Realizing that he expected to be arrested and charged with Drew’s shooting, Brook Lynn assumed he partially blamed Chase for helping get Willow exonerated. Michael allowed that while he didn’t agree with Chase’s actions, he’d never blame her for what her husband did. Brook Lynn asked if he was worried about the kids being with Willow, and Michael admitted that he was wary, but this was the best option he had. Brook Lynn reassured him that he was giving the kids back their mom, who they miss, and he was a great dad.

Later, with Brook Lynn as backup, Michael informed Wiley and Amelia that they’d get to see their mom again soon. Wiley was delighted, and Michael thanked Brook Lynn for the support. He hoped he made the right call, and Brook Lynn assured him he was doing what’s best for his kids. In the kitchen, Chase returned and placed the keys on the floor by the counter just as Wiley entered and saw him.
