General Hospital Recap: Valentin Is Discovered, Lulu & Nathan Are Caught Kissing and More

Comments

The Wednesday, March 4 episode of General Hospital marked a sad day in Port Charles. As Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Lucas (Van Hansis), and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) lost a patient on the operating table, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) worried about what would happen to Delilah’s (Lily Cardone) newborn daughter. Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell Turner) agreed to move in with Jordan (Tanisha Harper) even though she was keeping a secret from him, Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) expressed his concerns about Portia’s (Brook Kerr) living arrangement, Ava (Maura West) jumped to the wrong conclusion about Carly’s (Laura Wright) visit with Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Felicia (Kristina Wagner) spotted Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) canoodling, and after a risky visit from Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was discovered by Josslyn (Eden McCoy)! Get all the details below.

En Garde

In Sidwell’s den at Wyndemere, Carly found a safe hidden behind a painting, but didn’t get a chance to attempt opening it before Ava entered the room. They exchanged barbs over Lucas, with Ava accusing Carly of trying to convince Jenz to help her break Lucas and Marco up, and Carly retorting that Ava didn’t know her brother all that well since she only recently started “playing aunt.” They were interrupted by Sidwell, and Carly smirked when he advised Ava not to show up unexpectedly in the future. However, he seemed to forgive her unannounced visit when she explained that she’d come by to deliver his latest art acquisition. Next, Sidwell explained how he and Carly were planning a dinner party for their respective families in honor of Marco and Lucas and invited Ava to join them. Ava accepted but wasn’t happy to hear that Lucy would also be attending. After Carly left, Jenz chuckled to Ava that watching her and Carly spar was like watching a fencing match between competitors at the top of their game, and Ava deadpanned that there was never a dull moment with Carly around because you never knew what she was going to do.

Change Of Address

Jordan asked Curtis to officially move in, since he’d been staying there anyway, and they both acknowledged that they were grateful for the second chance. Later, she stuffed the pregnancy test further into her purse while Curtis was in the other room. Then, when he asked about the lab work she’d had done earlier at the hospital, Jordan said that her kidneys were functioning normally, but there was one more test she had to have done and would let him know if anything came of it.

Meanwhile, at the Ashford house, Portia told Isaiah that instead of selling, Curtis had given her the home to raise the baby in. Skeptical, Isaiah wondered if Curtis had an ulterior motive, like trying to make her indebted to him. Portia felt Curtis had made the offer for the right reasons, but Isaiah still worried that Curtis would treat the house as his own, especially once the baby arrived. Portia insisted that the house would be hers, and she and Curtis would figure out how to co-parent, but her ex had no say in her life. Later, Isaiah confided that he’d miss her at the cabin, and she invited him to spend the occasional night at the house.

From Bad To Worse

Arriving at the hospital to see Lucas, Josslyn bumped into Marco, who shared that her uncle was caught up with a patient in the ER. Josslyn apologized to Marco for how harsh Carly had been when it came to his and Lucas’s relationship, and was surprised when Marco revealed that Carly was now fully supportive of the couple. Josslyn grew suspicious when Marco added that Carly had come out to Wyndemere to speak with them and even wanted to get to know Jenz better.

On the ER floor, Elizabeth told Brook Lynn that Delilah was being prepped for an emergency C-section. Liz returned to the trauma room, where Britt had determined there wasn’t enough time to get Delilah to the OR due to a placental abruption. She and Lucas began the procedure in the room while they waited for Dr. Alcott. The neonatologist arrived just as Britt got Delilah’s baby girl out, but the preemie was in distress. As Liz assisted Dr. Alcott in treating the baby, Lucas and Britt tried to get Delilah’s bleeding under control. Once the baby’s heartbeat rose and stabilized, Dr. Alcott rushed her to the NICU, while Britt and Lucas frantically worked to stop Delilah from bleeding out.

Meanwhile, Nathan met Felicia, Brook Lynn, and Chase in the waiting area, and Chase filled in the detective on how they’d come across Delilah. As Felicia went to check Delilah’s personal effects for identification, Nathan asked Brook Lynn and Chase questions about the woman, but suspected something was off. After Nathan left them, Brook Lynn spotted Dr. Alcott and a nurse enter the elevator with a baby in an incubator, and grew concerned that they hadn’t received any update on Delilah. Blaming herself for not having asked the woman what her last name was so they could call her family, Brook Lynn cried that Delilah was all alone and must be scared.

Fugitive In The Attic

At Carly’s, Valentin was rummaging through the kitchen cabinets when Lulu and Charlotte stopped by the otherwise-empty house to drop off art supplies for Donna. As Valentin listened from the other side of the wall, mom and daughter rehashed Charlotte’s grounding after she’d sneaked out the night of the blizzard and Lulu reiterated that she couldn’t fully trust Charlotte, so she’d arranged for Laura to watch her while she ran errands. Frustrated, Charlotte yelled that her dad let her wander around Prague by herself, but overprotective Lulu wouldn’t let her stay home alone for an hour. Charlotte continued to push back, bringing up how cool Luke and Laura had been with her Uncle Lucky, and Lulu figured that the real reason Charlotte was so upset was that she was hurt that Valentin didn’t come for her after his escape. Lulu pointed out that he was protecting Charlotte by staying away.

Josslyn then returned home, so Charlotte took the opportunity to bring the art supplies upstairs to Donna’s bedroom — and made a detour to the attic to see Valentin. He wasn’t happy with the risk she was taking, but promised they’d be together soon. Valentin also advised Charlotte not to underestimate Lulu.

Since Joss had picked up on the tension between mother and daughter, Lulu explained what had happened when Charlotte went missing the night of the blizzard, then asked her cousin if she’d gotten stuck during the storm. After flashing back to finding Faison’s book that night at Wyndemere, Joss fibbed that she’d been on her way to a frat party but turned around. Charlotte then came back into the kitchen, so she and Lulu took off, and Josslyn hung around to wait for Carly. When she heard noises coming from upstairs, Joss took her gun out of her tote and headed to the attic, where she found Valentin!

Circle Of Life

Sadly, Britt and Lucas lost their patient when Delilah passed away on the table. After calling the time of death, Britt calmly exited the room, pretending it was business as usual. Once they had cleaned up, Lucas and Elizabeth informed Brook Lynn and Chase that Delilah had lost too much blood and hadn’t survived. Lucas went up to the NICU to check on the baby, while Elizabeth took Brook Lynn and Chase into the trauma room to sit with Delilah until someone from the morgue came to collect her body. Chase comforted his wife as Brook Lynn cried over Delilah, then she promised the woman they’d do all they could to reunite her baby with her family. Next, Lucas found the couple in the hallway and informed them that Delilah’s newborn was in serious but stable condition, spurring Brook Lynn to want to find the baby’s family as soon as possible.

Elizabeth later found Britt crying in the locker room. She complimented Britt for how steady she’d been during the surgery, but Britt felt like she hadn’t done enough. Liz told her it was important to honor the patients they lost, and she would never fault Britt for doing that.

At the park, Nathan found a handbag underneath a bench, but there was no wallet inside. He returned to the hospital and ran into Lulu, who was there to pick up Rocco’s community service forms for the court. He wanted to know if she’d spoken with Maxie yet, and Lulu confided that she’d been putting off telling her best friend about them. Nathan assured her that they’d make Maxie understand that they wanted to be together. Just as Nathan kissed Lulu, Felicia rounded the corner and spotted their embrace.

Will Felicia be the one to tell Maxie about Nathan and Lulu? What will happen to Delilah’s daughter if Brook Lynn can’t find the woman’s family? How will Josslyn react to discovering fugitive Valentin camping out with her mom? Share your theories and predictions about what will happen next on GH in the comments below!
