General Hospital Recap: The Quartermaines Get A Holiday Miracle, Sonny Plays Santa and More
On the December 26 episode of General Hospital, families came together to celebrate the holiday, but not without some drama! Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) desperately tried to get Drew (Cameron Mathison) to see that he was making the wrong call about Scout (Cosette Abinante), Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) struggled to get Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to take a break, Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Ava (Maura West) had words about Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) confessed to Rocco (Finn Carr), and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) brought the Quartermaines to tears. Here’s the scoop!
Get a Clue
Drew called Martin to put a media spin on what Portia said in court about him blackmailing her. Willow looked sadly at her presents to Wiley and Amelia still under the tree, and then gave Scout a hug when the little girl lamented not being able to give her grandma and aunts their gifts. Drew smiled at the scene, not realizing Scout was upset, and Willow frowned. As Drew continued ranting into the phone, Willow assured Scout she’d make sure her presents were delivered. She then confided that she also missed her kids. “I miss my mom a lot,” Scout cried. “But it’s different. I know I can’t see my mom. But I could see my family. If only my dad would let me.”

Later, Drew got off the phone and prepared to leave for the party when Willow suggested that instead of leaving Scout with the sitter, they take her to her grandmother’s. Drew didn’t understand why, if that’s what she wanted, his daughter didn’t tell him, and Willow had to point out to her oblivious husband that Scout is feeling very alone right now. Drew reminded her that Alexis can only spend time with Scout if she wins this court case. Willow didn’t want to be responsible for Scout being unhappy and suggested he not look at it as giving in to Alexis, but as a gift for Scout… and for her.
On the Loose
Tracy’s attempt to read quietly was interrupted by Wiley and Leo wanting to show her the frog they found in the stables, but the box was empty because it had escaped. Michael and Brook Lynn helped the kids search while Cody tried to placate Tracy and convince her to let the kids keep the pet. Tracy agreed, but the amphibian had to stay with Cody. Michael found it, and as Brook Lynn took everyone to the kitchen to decorate cookies, Leo remarked, “We should probably wash our hands first.” Tracy wanted to pay Cody to take the kids to the stable for the afternoon, but he explained he had to go see Molly and thank her for helping him on Christmas Day. Tracy shared that she wanted to bring back one of Lord Larry’s traditions and celebrate Boxing Day, but complained that Olivia had turned it into a “bakeathon” and then lamented that Monica wasn’t here to take charge. Cody gently suggested she stop focusing on the people who aren’t here and embrace those who are.

Unexpected Guests
Kristina and Molly arrived at Alexis’s to spend the day after Christmas with her, but she needed to work. They expressed their concern that she was overworking herself since court isn’t back in session until the new year. Alexis complained that her gamble with Portia had backfired, and now a furious Drew won’t let them see Scout. Kristina understood how important this case was, but insisted that for her own sanity, she had to take a break, eat noodles, and watch a movie with them. Molly agreed that taking a step back and looking at things with fresh eyes could help, and Alexis finally relented.
Later, while eating, Alexis paused the movie, and they chatted briefly about finding true love when there was a knock at the door. Molly went to answer it and quickly hid when she saw it was Cody. Alexis and Kristina laughed as they watched Molly try to fix her hair and make herself presentable before answering the door. They invited Cody to join them for Noodle Buddha, and Alexis and Kristina left them alone for a bit. Cody asked Molly to ring in the new year with him, and she happily accepted. Later, they were all watching the movie when Kristina answered the door, and Alexis was overjoyed to see that Willow had brought Scout over. The Davis Girls all came together for a big group hug as Willow smiled from the doorway.

No Fighting on Boxing Day
Lucas dressed up to celebrate Boxing Day with Marco and his family, happy to participate in the tradition. Sidwell welcomed Lucy to Wyndemere, and she thanked him for the Christmas gift of diamond earrings. Pascal announced the buffet was ready in the dining room, and when Lucy wondered why a buffet was necessary for two people, Ava popped into the hall to reveal she was there as well and asked Pascal for a martini. Later, Ava handed Lucas a cocktail and urged him to relax, but he was nervous about not spoiling things for Marco. Lucas said he was enjoying living with his boyfriend, but found Pascal kind of creepy. Ava agreed, but assured him he’d feel more at home soon.
When Jordan arrived, Sidwell warned her that Drew and Willow would be showing up soon, and they had to discuss how they would get him reelected amidst all this mess. Lucy told Marco that Lucas was a good soul like his dad — who she was briefly married to — so she’s pleased to see them happy together. Ava assured Jordan that while Portia was her friend, she wasn’t taking sides in the Robinson/Ashford conflict and only cared about Trina. Lucy tried to interrupt Sidwell and Ava’s chat, but then Ava noticed a bust on the mantel, and he began boasting about the antique. Jordan watched, amused, as Lucy tried to cut in. Sidwell left to welcome more guests, and Lucy and Ava sparred verbally about their host. Sidwell was disappointed to see Drew without his wife, then called everyone into the dining room for dinner. Marco held Lucas back for a kiss.

Family Secrets
Kevin smiled at Laura as she frantically ran down her to-do list before the family party, and she promised she wouldn’t let Sidwell spoil their holidays. She opened the door to Charlotte, Rocco, and Lulu, who revealed one additional guest — Sonny in a Santa hat with a sack full of presents. Laura was happy to see him, and he was happy to see Rocco doing better now that everything with Dalton was over and done with. Laura wondered if what they did was worth it, and he reassured her it was.
Later, Kevin brought Sonny some cider and assured him that he was grateful for how he helped Laura with her “car trouble” when he wasn’t around himself. Laura thanked Lulu for coming with the kids, and they were both relieved to see Charlotte and Rocco happy for a change. Playing a board game with Ace, Rocco noted Charlotte’s good mood, and she quietly confided that she’d seen her father. But when Lulu walked up, she quickly invited her mother to play with them as Rocco looked concerned. As the party continued, Lulu happily took photos with her phone of the kids playing and Laura and Kevin kissing in front of the tree.

A Christmas Carol
In the Quartermaine foyer, Ned stopped Olivia to commend her for bearing the brunt of Tracy’s hostility this holiday season, and she assured him that she’s come to love Tracy and they both love him. The doorbell rang, and Ned answered it to welcome Emma and Gio. Michael reported to Tracy that the frog was safely settled in the stables and confirmed that he had placed the call she asked him to make. Tracy welcomed Gio and was happy to hear things were improving between him and his parents. Sonny arrived at Michael’s invitation, surprised Tracy let it happen, and Ned chuckled and let him know the package had arrived. Wiley offered Sonny some cookies and revealed that he’d received New York Yankees tickets for Christmas and wanted to go with his father and grandfather. Brook Lynn offered to cover for Tracy if she wanted to go somewhere quiet for some privacy with all these people around, but the matriarch declared she wanted to carry on Monica’s tradition of opening the house at the holidays.
Leo suddenly came rushing in with a violin case to inform Ned he forgot to give Gio his present. Olivia tried to get her son to put the gift back where he found it, but the kid was insistent that it was Gio’s. Sonny related that he and Ned had bought it, but were waiting for the right time to give it to him this gift from his grandfathers. Leo didn’t understand why they wanted to wait, and Ned explained that they wanted to wait until Gio wanted to play music again. Wiley declared that Tracy would love to hear him play because she’s been sad lately, missing Grandma Monica like they all do. Leo suggested a song might make everyone feel better, and after a fraught few moments, Gio walked over and took the case from Leo. He opened it and removed the instrument, then stepped out into the hallway for a private moment, crying. Brook Lynn went to the doorway and stopped as she flashed back to Gio’s outburst at the Nurses Ball when he smashed his violin after learning about his biological parents. She reached out to touch his shoulder in comfort, and Gio returned to the living room to play “Oh Holy Night” for the assembled family. When he finished, Tracy said, “Thank you. That was beautiful,” and embraced him.
