General Hospital Weekly Spoilers Video: ‘It Was Only a Matter of Time’
The General Hospital spoilers video for the week of August 17 previews an unlikely alliance, plotting against an enemy, and a meeting of the minds.
Making Plans for the Future
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) have been growing closer in recent months, and now the pair enjoy some pizza and wine at her place following a softball game. But not everybody is happy about the budding relationship between this pair. “There is a growing connection between the two of them,” Ric (Rick Hearst) warns Lulu (Alexa Havins). “And if we don’t break it, you and I are gonna lose the loves of our lives.” Lulu appears uncertain, but is that because she no longer considers Dante the love of her life as Ric does Liz? Or is it because she doesn’t want to get wrapped up in whatever hare-brained scheme he’s concocting?
Drew (Cameron Mathison) is determined to bring Sonny (Maurice Benard) down a peg or two, and he believes that Ava (Maura West) is the perfect person to help him do that. “Together, we can take Sonny down,” he promises her over drinks by the pool. Ava isn’t Sonny’s biggest fan right now as he continues to threaten her custody of their daughter Avery. But will she hitch her wagon to Drew, knowing full well that he’s public enemy No. 1 in Port Charles?
Meanwhile, Sonny stops by Pentonville to visit with a prisoner. “It was only a matter of time before you showed up,” Sidwell (Carlo Rota) grins as he enters the visitor area where Sonny sits waiting. “Beige — not your color,” Corinthos quips. Sonny has decided to leave the mob behind to go legit, and considers acquiring Sidwell’s assets an important part of that process. What does he hope to gain from visiting the criminal in prison?
