General Hospital Recap: The Hunt for Britt and Rocco Begins and Lucas is in Danger
On General Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, the hunt was on for Rocco (Finn Carr) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud)! Liesl (Kathleen Gati) figured out that “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) and his sister were keeping secrets, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) were wracked with guilt, and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Alexa Havins) received a jarring message from their son. Meanwhile, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) invited Ava (Maura West) on a fact-finding mission, Kristina (Kate Mansi) shared some life-changing news with Molly (Kristen Vaganos), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Laura (Genie Francis) devised a plan to take down their blackmailer, Carly (Laura Wright) begged Lucas (Van Hansis) to find a new place to live and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) began to suspect that perhaps his son’s boyfriend was Marco’s (Adrian Anchando) killer! Here’s everything that happened.
Death Watch
After receiving his son’s autopsy report, Sidwell lamented to Ava that he needed to know how Marco died but couldn’t bring himself to look at the report. The police believed Marco knew his killer, that it was possibly a crime of passion, but it haunted him to think that his son was betrayed in that way. Ava wondered if Marco had a scorned lover from his past, noting that jealousy was a strong emotion that could drive people mad.
When Jenz mused that the jealous lover might be Lucas, an offended Ava countered that Lucas and Marco’s love for one another might have pushed the wrong person over the edge. As if on cue, Pascal entered with a tray of refreshments, but Ava had to head out and advised Jenz not to cause himself more grief by looking at the report. Jenz asked Pascal to put the autopsy report in the safe, saying he’d read it when he was ready to learn about Marco’s final moments. Vowing that he’d do whatever it took to find Marco’s killer, Jenz thought back to his conversation with Cassius, who had shared there was a gap in Lucas’s timeline during that night. Sidwell again considered the possibility that Lucas may have been responsible.

Gotta Have Faith
Alexis told Molly and Kristina that she was concerned about the way Danny had been acting out, especially since he’d broken into Wyndemere with Charlotte, and she didn’t know how to help him. She asked her daughters to speak with their nephew and let him know that they were there for him, and Kristina and Molly encouraged Alexis to have faith in Danny. After leaving their mom’s house, Kristina and Molly were making plans to take Danny to dinner when Kristina got a message alert: She had taken a chance on applying to medical school and had been accepted.

Later, Alexis asked Ava to go with her to Manhattan to gather more information on Delilah Wilson, the birth mother of the child her clients wanted to adopt. Initially, Ava declared she was too busy to go, but changed her tune when Alexis promised a luxe trip courtesy of the Quartermaine jet and a stay at a five-star hotel.
He’s A Little Runaway
Lulu grilled Danny and Charlotte about whether they had known that Rocco planned to leave town while Dante initiated the search for his son and Britt at the PCPD, with Chase and Joe following up on potential leads. After Chase confirmed to Dante that the phones the commissioner found in the G.H. parking lot belonged to Rocco and Britt, they wondered if Rocco was a runaway or if Britt had kidnapped him. Lulu arrived, having received an urgent call from Dante, and learned that their son had taken off with Britt. When Chase asked if they knew of an alias Britt would use, Lulu divulged that Rocco could be traveling under the name Tyler Anderson. Dante covered for Lulu, who had gotten Rocco a fake passport with that name, by fibbing that Britt had procured the fraudulent document.

Search Party
At Bobbie’s, Carly again tried to convince Lucas to move out of Wyndemere. Across the restaurant, “Nathan” told Liesl that he and Lulu had broken up. While his mother was initially delighted by the news, her glee turned to compassion when “Nathan” lamented that while he had genuine feelings for Lulu, she had made it clear to him they had no future. Joe then entered the diner with a warrant to search Britt’s room and suggested to “Nathan” that he and his mother head to the PCPD.
As the police searched Britt’s room, Carly was caught off-guard by Lucas’s concern about Britt. He divulged that he’d realized Britt wasn’t as awful as he’d always thought she was, especially since they’d both made choices that they regretted. Lucas confided that Marco had been trying to help him with something when he was killed, and he felt he owed it to Marco to see it through. Although he couldn’t give Carly details, Lucas explained that this mission was why he had to stay at Wyndemere. Carly promised her brother that if Sidwell became suspicious of him, she would do whatever it took to protect him.

A New Direction
Sonny told Laura what Britt had told him on the phone — that Sidwell had killed Professor Dalton and that Pascal had cleaned up evidence of the crime. Sonny suggested to Laura that if they could get Pascal to turn on Sidwell and hand over the photos from Dalton’s murder, they’d have leverage to bring down their blackmailer. They debated asking Ava or Lucy to help them get close to Pascal, but then Sonny remembered that Lucas lived at Wyndemere. Because of Sonny’s prickly past with Lucas, Laura decided she’d be the one to reach out to him. Laura then received a call from Lulu with the news about Rocco and Britt, and Sonny deduced that this was the reason behind Britt’s call to him. With Britt gone, Laura wondered if Sidwell would still be a threat to them.

Secret Message
Once Liesl and “Nathan” got to the station, Dante questioned them about Britt’s plans to leave Port Charles. Liesl was quick to blame Lulu, alleging that her attempts to keep Rocco and “his mother” apart only drove them closer together. As “Nathan” brought his mother into the interrogation room, Dante confronted Lulu about the fake passport. Moaning that Liesl was right about it being all her fault, Lulu apologized for everything she’d kept from Dante. The exes agreed to work together to find their son.
Opposite this, “Nathan” asked if Liesl had any clue where Britt might have gone, because she might die of Huntington’s if they couldn’t find her. Liesl thought it was odd that “Nathan” was so concerned for his sister’s health since Britt’s disease hadn’t progressed and realized that her children had been keeping “a great deal” from her.

Back at Lulu’s house, Charlotte and Danny reflected on Rocco’s recent behavior and wondered if they’d pushed him away by not being supportive when he was obviously going through something huge. Checking their phones to see if he’d left them a video message, Charlotte saw an email in her school account, so they headed to the PCPD to show it to Dante and Lulu. In the video, Rocco told his parents that he’d begged Britt to take him with her, and he was fine. Then he directly told Lulu to remember that not all who wander are lost. Stunned, Lulu revealed that was the code phrase she’d given to Rocco to signal that he was safe and that her son wanted to be with Britt.

Should Cassius tell Liesl about his and Britt’s part in their father’s final project? Will Sidwell do something to Lucas? How do you feel about Kristina’s sudden interest in becoming a doctor? Share your theories about what will happen next on GH in the comments below!
