General Hospital Recap: Portia Gets Her Test Results, Lucas Hears Marco Scheming, Sonny Advises Lucy and More
Things got intense on the February 11 episode of General Hospital! Jordan (Tanisha Harper) was left all alone while Portia (Brook Kerr) waited on pins and needles alongside Trina (Tabyana Ali), Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson), and Curtis (Donnell Turner) for the results of the paternity test; Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) warned Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) not to trust Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who confided in Jason (Steve Burton) about their kiss; Josslyn (Eden McCoy) shared the intel she gathered at Wyndemere with a trusted ally; Sonny (Maurice Benard) helped Lucy (Lynn Herring) devise a revenge scheme against Sidwell (Carlo Rota); and after Carly (Laura Wright) made amends with Lucas (Van Hansis), he overheard a damning conversation between Marco (Adrian Anchondo) and his father! Here’s how it all went down.
Alternate Reality
Ticked that Ava came between her and Jenz, Lucy vented to Sonny that Sidwell had rejected her when she gave him an ultimatum. Asking Sonny to help her get revenge, Lucy explained her theory that Sidwell was importing illegal goods under the Deception name. Acknowledging she was onto something, Sonny thought it was a bad idea, since Sidwell would figure she’d go after his shipments and cover his tracks. Lucy then proposed that she’d pretend to reconcile with Jenz so he’d drop his guard, and she could spy on him and try to figure out what was in the cargo. And she’d make sure Jenz thought she’d lower herself to share him with “that man-eating… floozy, Ava,” Lucy groused. “Those two have no idea what they started with you,” Sonny chuckled.

Kiss And Tell
Charlotte sneaked over to Carly’s house to visit her father. When she revealed that Danny had been the one to convince her not to venture out during the snowstorm, Valentin got angry that Danny knew he was hiding there. Valentin claimed that they couldn’t trust Danny, but Charlotte countered that Nina was the one they couldn’t trust. She explained how she’d overheard Nina and Jack Brennan talking about the deal between them. What’s more, Charlotte added, she’d already confided in Nina that they’d been in touch before she knew Nina was feeding info to Jack. Worried that Brennan would start interviewing everyone in Charlotte’s circle, Valentin said it was a mistake to have told Danny, but Charlotte insisted she trusted him completely since Danny also had a father who did dangerous things and understood the importance of keeping secrets. Although glad Charlotte had someone in her corner, Valentin warned her not to rely on Danny too much. As they said good-bye with a hug, Valentin again urged his daughter to be careful.
Meanwhile, when Jason wanted to know why Danny made up a lie about needing to know the Cassadine family history for a school project, Danny said it was because he knew Alexis didn’t like talking about that side of her family, but acknowledged he should have just been honest and asked about Charlotte directly. Then he fessed up that he’d kissed Charlotte while they were hanging out at the gatehouse during the snowstorm, and now his feelings for her have changed from friend to something more. When Jason asked how Charlotte felt and if she’d been okay with the kiss, Danny was surprised to realize that he didn’t know because they hadn’t spoken about it. Jason advised his son to reach out to Charlotte and not make assumptions about how she felt. Then, when Jason got an alert on his phone, he told Danny the message wasn’t more important than him, but Danny insisted they were good and thanked his dad for listening. Later, Danny sent Charlotte a text, asking her if they could meet up, and she agreed.

Testing, Testing
Josslyn was looking at The Crystalline Conspiracy and holding one of the cigarillos in her hand when Trina arrived home, but played it off that the cigars belonged to her study partner. As the roommates caught up, Trina shared that her mom had stayed in Josslyn’s room the night of the blizzard and they’d had a small breakthrough, but she was still hesitant to trust her again. When Joss pointed out that being there for her younger brother or sister was one reason worth making up with her mom, Trina acknowledged that she wanted a relationship with her sibling regardless of who the baby’s father was.
At the hospital, Portia had Britt do a paternity test, and Britt commended her for standing her ground until she’d been ready. When Portia later asked Isaiah to do a cheek swab to find out if he was the father, he wanted to know if she’d caved to Curtis’s pressure. Portia revealed that while her estranged husband had threatened to get a court order, she was finally ready to know who the father of her baby was after a long talk with Elizabeth. Although hopeful that the baby was his, Isaiah knew that would complicate Portia’s relationship with Trina. She told him that she and her daughter had made some progress, which is why she felt like it was time to start planning for her baby’s future. Isaiah promised to be by her side, no matter what the outcome was. Next, Portia phoned Trina to tell her daughter that she decided to have the test done and they’d have the results soon.

The Results Are In
While Curtis and Jordan were having a romantic night by the fireplace, she got an email from Sidwell. She explained that her boss was suddenly interested in the infrastructure at Wyndemere, leading Curtis to wonder if he was hiding something at Spoon Island. Agreeing that was very likely, Jordan expressed her frustration that she was no closer to taking Sidwell down than when she started. Curtis was sure she’d get him, since there was no stopping her once she put her mind to something. When Jordan said they had that in common, Curtis sighed that, in his frustration with Portia, he threatened to get a court order to force her to have the paternity test done if she didn’t do so herself within a week. Even though he felt Portia was being unfair, once he’d cooled off, he realized he couldn’t force her to take the test. Plus, he didn’t want the acrimony between them if they had to co-parent. Just as Jordan suggested that he reach out to Portia again, Curtis received a phone call from his estranged spouse, who told him that she’d had the paternity test done and was waiting for the results. After Curtis left to go to the hospital, Jordan recalled her argument with Portia, when the other woman warned her that she’d never be part of the baby’s life.
Back at the hospital, Portia was thrilled when Trina showed up, having decided that she couldn’t let the issues between them affect her relationship with her sibling. Trina agreed to wait with her mother for the results, and when Isaiah approached to tell Portia that the lab had his sample, Trina said it was okay for him to wait with them. Things got awkward when Curtis unexpectedly arrived, and he thanked Portia for putting the situation behind them. Then, Britt approached the foursome and handed Portia an envelope. After reviewing the lab results, the mother-to-be turned around to face her daughter and two baby daddies.

Clued In
Josslyn called Jason over and showed him the cigarillos and The Crystalline Conspiracy and told him that she’d seen WSB Director Ross Cullum carrying around the cigars and a paperback copy of the book with an inscription. Flashing back to Britt warning him that Cullum made it clear she was not to be around him, Jason urged Josslyn to tell him everything. She explained that she’d cut the power to Spoon Island the night of the blizzard so she could search the property, and ran into Cullum at Wyndemere, who’d pretended to be the groundskeeper. She didn’t think Cullum recognized her, Josslyn noted, and she came across the book and cigarillos when she searched his coat while he was out of the room. After confirming that she hadn’t reported any of that to Brennan, Jason shocked Josslyn when he divulged that Cullum was Sidwell’s partner on Faison’s final project.
Dark Shadows
At Wyndemere, Lucas was taken aback by Carly’s claim that she was there to apologize, so Marco and Jenz left the siblings to speak privately. When Carly admitted she hadn’t been fair to Marco, Lucas wondered where his sister’s sudden change of heart came from. Carly replied that she missed her brother and regretted not being supportive of his relationship with Marco, but Lucas countered that her words weren’t enough. He expected her to make an effort to get to know his partner, since he could see a future for them together, and would only let her back in his life if she was accepting of Marco. Next, Lucas had Pascal call Sidwell and Marco back into the living room, and when the butler hung around, Lucas asked him to give them some privacy. As Pascal eavesdropped from the other side of the ajar door, Carly apologized to Marco for judging him unfairly because of his father and promised to support their relationship moving forward if he gave her a second chance. Accepting her apology, Marco replied that he’d never do anything to hurt Lucas, and a relieved Lucas told his sister how much her making amends meant to him. Pleased by the family reunion, Jenz invited Carly to join them for cocktail hour, but when Lucas got a page to return to the hospital, she decided to leave with her brother so they could catch up on the ferry.

Alone with Marco, Sidwell asked his son if he bought the apology, and Marco shared that he had, because he could tell it was hard for Carly to say, which tracked with everything Lucas had said about his sister. Having forgotten his phone, Lucas entered the foyer and overheard Marco inform his father that Carly spending more time at Wyndemere could be problematic if she caught Britt coming in and out of the catacombs. As he listened by the slightly open living room door, Lucas was also stunned to hear Jenz inform Marco that since they’d now be keeping Britt’s medication at Wyndemere, if the doctor wanted to stay alive, she’d have to complete their project. Unbeknownst to Lucas, as he jumped back in fright, Pascal was lurking in the hallway behind him.
Meanwhile, Carly returned from Wyndemere and updated Valentin that she made amends with Lucas and apologized to Marco. While she hadn’t had time to access the catacombs, the door was now open for future visits to Spoon Island. Although Carly hated using Lucas, she and Valentin agreed that figuring out what Sidwell was up to and setting Brennan up to take a fall was the only way for them to protect Lucas, Josslyn, and Charlotte. Determined, Carly vowed to find out exactly what was going on at Wyndemere the next time she was there.
