Good Advice
Following Anna’s freak-out at the pool, Jason encouraged Carly not to assume the terrible things that happened to Anna would also happen to Josslyn. He suggested Carly support rather than fight her daughter. Carly contended she wasn’t trying to meddle in Josslyn’s career; she was simply nudging her to see that taking over JJE was an amazing opportunity. When Jason pointed out that trying to manipulate Josslyn could backfire and destroy their bond, Carly relented, not wanting Joss to feel like she couldn’t be trusted.

No Safe Space
As Valentin talked Anna down from a panic attack, Peter appeared to Anna. and warned her not to say anything about his presence. Anna confided in Valentin that while being held captive, she’d been certain that Faison was alive and coming after her. She added that she wished he had been alive, so she could give in to that fear and be done, because she hasn’t had any peace in her life since the day she’d met that monster.
Valentin assured Anna that Faison was dead, but she was adamant that she and the people she loved weren’t safe. Theorizing that she had PTSD, Valentin suggested Anna step back and take some time to heal. Anna balked, not wanting anyone to question her mental state, especially since she was sure the WSB was having her monitored and might have her committed again. Valentin vowed he would never let that happen. Anna swore she could handle things and would get a therapist.

When Valentin returned to Carly, he apologized for abandoning her for so long. Carly assured him she was glad that Anna had Valentin to rely on as a friend.
Buzz Kill
At the Metro Court Gardens, Liesl told Britt that she was hoping to clear Cassius’s name. Spotting Anna and Valentin, Liesl was determined to get answers from Anna, but Britt revealed that she was working on getting answers about her brother’s death herself. Deducing that her daughter was working with someone connected to the WSB to get the info, Liesl begged her not to put herself in the bureau’s debt again and instead focus on her love life and reestablishing her medical career.

Liesl asked for a status update on Britt and Jason’s relationship and was pleased to hear that they were in love. Liesl texted Jason to join them, and when he got to the Gardens, she invited him to a Labor Day barbecue. As Anna watched the trio from across the restaurant, Jason agreed to attend the gathering. Peter then reappeared to Anna and told her that the only way to get any peace was to kill Britt — or anyone else who got in the way, like Jason!
Who’s The Boss
At the boathouse, Josslyn informed Hudson that she was taking the CEO position, saying she wanted to honor her father’s wishes and uphold his legacy. Hudson was suspicious of the sudden change of heart, and she told him he could resign if he didn’t agree. Pretending to be supportive, Hudson noted he hadn’t been on board with Jax’s decision to give the company to Josslyn at first, but he could see that he’d been wrong.

After Josslyn left, Hudson made a phone call and told the other person that Josslyn was taking the CEO position, but he’d get her to change her mind.

Dante went to G.H. to have his knee injury looked at, and Ric arrived just in time to witness Dante and Liz joking around as she wheeled him to an exam room. Later, as they waited for his MRI results, Dante asked Liz if she’d heard from Ric since he walked in on them, and she replied that Ric must have been more upset than she thought because he hadn’t checked in with her.

Meanwhile, believing he’d ruined his relationship with Elizabeth, Ric called Lulu to meet him at the Metro Court Gardens for moral support. Lulu advised Ric not to give in to his fear and pressure Elizabeth, even if he had good intentions. Taking Lulu’s advice to keep things simple and enjoy spending time together, Ric phoned Elizabeth to invite her to Sonny’s barbecue. Not only did she accept, but she asked him to accompany her to an exhibit at The Chuck. After hanging up, Ric marveled that he’d scored two dates with Elizabeth and thanked Lulu for her help.
