General Hospital’s Sawandi Wilson Reveals Newborn Daughter’s Name After NICU Stay
General Hospital star Sawandi Wilson has revealed the name of his newborn daughter — and shared a happy update on the baby’s health following her complicated birth and subsequent stay in the NICU.

On August 24, Wilson shared the first photos and videos of his daughter on Instagram and introduced her as “Zelda Dana Eilinsfeld Wilson.”
The actor also revealed that his baby girl spent five days in the NICU before being discharged from the hospital with a clean bill of health.
“5 days in the NICU.✅ — Pediatric appointments. ✅ Checking out of the hospital with a clean bill of health… PRICELESS🙏🏾🏆,” Wilson wrote.
The new dad posted a carousel of highlights from Zelda’s first days, including “NICU,” “Creepin’ on a come up,” a “(Well earned) Spa Day,” “Mama,” “Big Brother” (Zelda with the family’s Husky, Brando), “Baby Gymnastics,” “Homegrown” and “Ready to operate.”
The update comes after Wilson opened up last week about the frightening circumstances surrounding his daughter’s birth. In an August 19 Instagram video, he explained that Zelda needed oxygen and treatment to stabilize her glucose levels after she was born and was taken to the NICU.
Wilson also described the emotional experience of seeing his newborn daughter hooked up to machines. But after seeing other babies in the NICU, including one preparing for major cardiac surgery, he said he gained perspective on his own daughter’s situation.
Happily, the actor subsequently shared that his daughter was making progress, noting that she was eventually taken off oxygen and the IV.
Wilson and his wife, Anna Eilinsfeld, announced the arrival of their first child in an August 17 Instagram video. At the time, Wilson thanked the medical team at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, saying, “You saved my baby’s life. You saved my wife’s life, and you saved my life.”
Now, the family is celebrating Zelda being home and healthy — as are his co-stars. In the comment section on Wilson’s post, Tabyana Ali (Trina) wrote, “SHES THE TINEST HUMAN IN THE WORLD!! SHES SO BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT!!🥹🩷,” while Cameron Mathison (Drew) offered, “So beautiful brother so so happy for you.”
On her own Instagram, Eilinsfeld also shared photos of baby Zelda, writing, “Welcome to the world Zelda Dana Eilinsfeld Wilson! 👶🐯💕She arrived early on Monday, August 10 — 8 lbs, 3 oz and already keeping us on our toes. Big brother Brando is adjusting like a pro, everyone’s happy and healthy, and I’m recovering well. We’re completely obsessed with her and wanted to share the joy!” Wilson replied in the comments, “My ladies 😎❤️💃!.”
