On the Monday, March 23 episode of General Hospital, several storylines reached a breaking point! Marco (Adrian Anchondo) clung to life after being stabbed, Lucas (Van Hansis) gave Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) her medication, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was frustrated when Jason (Steve Burton) managed to escape, Sidwell (Carlo Rota) reminded Laura (Genie Francis) that he was the one in charge, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) shared her intentions with Tracy (Jane Elliot), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) took a risk with Carly (Laura Wright), and Rocco (Finn Carr) saved Jason’s life by shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)! Get the complete rundown below.
Choke Hold
Martin stopped by Laura’s office to tell his sister he’d been offered a lucrative case in Reno and was leaving Port Charles for the foreseeable future. He added that he felt bad for abandoning her in the middle of her fight with Tracy over the zoning ordinance, but she assured Martin that she’d be fine while he was gone. Later, Sidwell showed up and informed the mayor that he’d orchestrated Martin’s new assignment because her brother was getting suspicious. Tired of all his threats, Laura snapped at him, but Sidwell condescendingly warned her to watch her tone, or he’d release the blackmail photos of her, Sonny, and Dalton.
Laura advised him to back off because the more she acted on his orders, the greater the chance that someone would realize he was pulling the strings. At that, Sidwell casually mentioned that Willow was also under his thumb, and he knew exactly where Kevin and Ace were in Ireland. Laura insisted that she could only do so much, but Sidwell chuckled that she was nowhere near her limit, and as long as she continued to sell her adoring constituents on shifts in her position, her loved ones would be safe.

Baby Boom
Tracy ran into Brook Lynn at the hospital, where her granddaughter had just visited Phoebe again. Tracy shared her concern that Brook Lynn was becoming too attached to the baby. When Brook Lynn relayed that she and Chase were petitioning to be Phoebe’s foster parents, Tracy proclaimed that it was a terrible idea, worried Brook Lynn would be devastated when she eventually had to give the baby up. Brook Lynn countered that the heartache would be worth it because she and Chase had a real connection to the baby. Tracy suggested that perhaps the couple was using the baby as a way to get past their own marital issues and reiterated her reservations, but assured Brook Lynn that she had her support. Then, Brook Lynn brought Tracy to the NICU to meet Phoebe.

Disappearing Act
In Britt’s room, Jack asked Nathan where his sister was, saying he needed to speak with her right away regarding the WSB’s Five Poppies investigation. Nathan, who was looking for his sister himself, replied that he didn’t know where she was, then told Jack to stop snooping through Britt’s things. Bringing up Nathan’s death and mysterious reappearance, Jack stated there wasn’t a trace of evidence about his missing years and accused the detective of either being the unknowing beneficiary of someone’s illegal activities or being involved in them himself. With that, Jack pointed out that Britt’s door had been unlocked and most of her belongings were missing, leading them to the conclusion that she’d disappeared once again.
Under Pressure
Outside Port Charles High School, Dante informed Alexis and Jason that he had to take Jason down to the PCPD, per Cullum’s orders. Just as Jason was handing over his pistol, Danny approached the group and cried that Dante couldn’t arrest his dad. Pulling her grandson away, Alexis told Danny to go back inside to his basketball game and offered to call Diane for Jason. Then, Jason head-butted Dante, told Danny that he loved him but not to follow him and fled. Once Dante recovered from the hit, he called in an APB on Jason Morgan for resisting arrest and assaulting an officer, adding that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. When Danny shouted that his dad didn’t have a gun, Dante proclaimed he had to protect his officers in case Jason had another weapon. A panicked Danny growled that if they thought Jason was armed, they’d shoot him.

Nathan and Chase then arrived, and as Chase took witness statements from Danny and Alexis, Dante told Nathan that Jason must really be desperate if he hit him in front of Danny. The commissioner also noted that such behavior didn’t track with Jason’s usual M.O. of passive resistance, so something big must be going down. Nathan was surprised when Dante explained that Jason was being arrested on a WSB warrant, since he’d been with Brennan when the APB came through, and the agent hadn’t known anything about it. After huffing to Nathan that nothing Jack said could be taken at face value, Dante told Chase to get Brennan to the school, and Nathan left to join the search for Jason. As Alexis moved to take Danny home, Dante promised his pseudo stepson that nobody was trying to hurt his father, but Danny just glared at him. Finally, Jack showed up, but when he claimed not to know why the WSB wanted Jason, Dante raged that he’d find Jason first.
Shots Fired
At Miller & Davis, Cullum calmly cleaned off his bloody knife after stabbing Marco in the chest. As Marco lay on the floor, bleeding profusely, Cullum picked up his victim’s phone and read the text message from Lucas that said he was meeting Britt at Pier 55. Then he stepped over Marco, turned off the lights and walked out of the office. All alone, Marco gasped for air as he continued to bleed out.

Across town on the pier, Lucas gave Britt the vials of her medication, and she tearfully thanked him and Marco for saving her life. She confided that she and Jason were about to leave town, but unbeknownst to them both, Rocco was hiding and overheard their conversation. Britt warned Lucas not to return to Spoon Island, since Sidwell and Cullum would soon know that her meds were missing if they didn’t already. Lucas explained that they’d gotten a room for the night at the Metro Court. When she emphasized to Lucas that he and Marco needed to watch their backs, he assured Britt that Marco’s father wouldn’t hurt his son, but Britt quickly noted that Sidwell wasn’t the only one they needed to worry about. Lucas next told Britt that her situation had made Marco realize he was in too deep with his father’s business, and because Marco ultimately did the right thing, their relationship was stronger. As they chuckled over how the whole horrible mess led them both to finding their person, Lucas wondered what was taking Jason so long, and Britt insisted that her partner would be there soon. After Lucas quipped that he might even miss Britt while she was gone, they wished each other happiness and said a final good-bye.
Shortly after Lucas left, Cullum showed up. As Rocco continued to listen from behind the wall, the agent held Britt at gunpoint with the demand that she return the vials. Britt took them out of her bag and handed them over, then watched in tears as Cullum dumped them onto the ground and crushed the containers with his shoe. Then, the WSB director announced that he was taking her back to Wyndemere. Britt swung her duffel bag at him and tried to escape. Grabbing her before she could get away, Cullum covered her mouth when Britt screamed for help, so she bit him. That caused Cullum to release his hold on her, but while trying to run away, Britt tripped over her bag and knocked herself out when she hit her head on a container.

Picking up his pistol, Cullum seethed that Britt was more trouble than she was worth and was about to shoot her when Jason suddenly tackled him! From behind the wall, Rocco watched Jason and Cullum fight. During their struggle for the gun, the weapon slid close to where Rocco was hiding. Then, just as Cullum was about to attack Jason with a retractable baton, Rocco shot the WSB director!
So Close, Yet So Far
With Donna spending the night at Sonny’s house, Valentin surprised Carly with a fancy dinner. As they ate, they confided that they both enjoyed spending time with each other despite the risky situation they were in. Carly also updated Valentin that the dinner party at Wyndemere was scheduled for the following night. He was pleased that he’d be able to access the tunnels while she had Sidwell occupied. Carly sighed that while she hated using Lucas, her brother’s residency on Spoon Island was a great reason for her to visit. Then, they heard a car pull up to the house, so Valentin rushed upstairs, and Carly cleared the evidence of a second plate. Carly’s unexpected guest was Lucas, who wanted to tell his sister that Marco had agreed to put some distance between him and his father, and they were moving out of Wyndemere. Beaming, Lucas happily declared that Marco had chosen him over his father, and they were going to be happy together.

Meanwhile, back at Miller & Davis, Marco attempted to reach his phone but was too weak and collapsed. Alexis and Danny got to the reception area because she wanted to research the WSB’s jurisdiction, but before she could open the door to her office, Danny begged his grandmother to take him to the police station to wait for word on Jason.
Do you think Marco is going to die, or will someone discover him before it’s too late? Will Cullum survive his gunshot wound? Will Jason be able to escape town with Britt before he’s caught? Share your predictions about what will happen next on GH in the comments below!
