General Hospital Recap: Jason Steps Up for Tracy as Michael and Jordan Get Closer

Comments

On the Wednesday, October 14, episode of General Hospital, Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) attempt to meddle in Joe’s (Jonathan Bennett) investigation was thwarted by Tristan (Dean Geyer), Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Serena (Kelly Kruger) saw an advantage to get control of Deception, Tracy (Jane Elliot) asked Jason (Steve Burton) for a favor, Ned (Wally Kurth) gave Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) some perspective, Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) grew closer while en route to Baden-Baden, and more. Keep on reading for the rundown.

Cover Story

Tristan confronted Britt about speaking with his patient — Sidwell — and she said she’d wanted to assess if the patient was lucid enough to give the interview to Lulu. Tristan acknowledged that, hypothetically, a patient on those pain meds could be incoherent and/or overly compliant — the same conclusion Britt had reached.

Joe tracked down Lucas at the hospital to ask about his roommate’s quotes in Lulu’s article and how it possibly connected to Jack Brennan’s disappearance, wondering if Willow was involved. Britt overheard them and jumped to her cousin’s defense, then pulled in Tristan, hoping he would confirm that Sidwell had been talking nonsense due to his pain medication.

Instead, Tristan noted that while it was possible Sidwell had fabricated his statements, it was also possible that the drugs lowered the patient’s inhibitions and what he said was true. Shooting Britt a pointed look, Tristan stated that it was for the police to determine before walking away. Annoyed that Dr. Roberts didn’t give her the backup she needed to cover for Willow, Britt reminded Joe that Lulu hadn’t been authorized to be in Sidwell’s room in the first place.

Later, Britt approached Tristan at the hub to ask why he threw Willow under the bus. He reminded Britt that he could have confirmed Sidwell’s story by telling Det. Fitzpatrick about the WSB’s drug — and to leave him out of whatever meddling she was trying to do with the PCPD’s investigation.

Meanwhile, Joe told Lucas that something felt off about Nina’s arrest for Brennan’s disappearance. Lucas warned Joe to tread carefully on WSB matters, but Joe was determined to uncover the truth.

Close Proxymity

Lucy’s scheme to turn a business meeting between her, Serena, and Michael at Café Cherie into a romantic dinner for two went bust when Michael called from the Quartermaine jet to reschedule. Lucy was livid that Michael left Jason in charge of Deception business while he was gone, but was pleasantly surprised to learn that Serena and Jason had bonded over the falcon’s nest.

Since Serena and Jason now had a rapport, Lucy wanted her daughter to persuade Jason to give her control of Michael’s proxy so they could gain control of Deception. Serena balked, sure Jason wouldn’t be so easy to manipulate, but eventually agreed to try to help her mother reclaim power at her beloved company.

Family Issues

At the Quartermaine estate, Brook Lynn and Tracy rehashed Chase’s accusations about The Invader article and his support of Willow in the kitchen nook. Although she was hurt by his behavior, Brook Lynn sighed that at least she now knew how her husband felt about her.

Tracy assured her granddaughter that she’d get full custody of Phoebe, but an upset Brook Lynn begged her to back off so she could grieve the end of her marriage.

In the atrium, Ned was impressed that Jason took initiative on an ELQ construction project in Canada but reminded him that the proper chain of command should have been followed — which included looping in him since he’s the CEO.

Tracy sent Ned to go check on Brook Lynn, then groused to Jason about the contraband takeout cheeseburger Ned had sneaked into the house. Concerned that Ned was under too much stress so soon after his heart attack, Tracy asked Jason to take on some additional responsibility at ELQ. Jason agreed to do what he could, adding that he was already filling in for Michael while he was out of town. Tracy confirmed that that included Deception business, and told Jason it was gratifying to see him use his many talents to help the family.

Ned caught up with Brook Lynn, who confided that she wasn’t sure if she wanted to sue for full custody of Phoebe. Ned admitted that he’d regretted not fighting for more time with her when she was a child and encouraged his daughter to agree to shared custody. Later, Brook Lynn broke down while looking at a picture of Phoebe and apologized for not giving her daughter the family she’d promised her.

Fight or Flight

Michael and Jordan flew to Baden-Baden on the Quartermaine jet. During the flight, he gave her insight into how intense his own scar reconstruction at the clinic had been, and she opened up about her complicated history with Curtis and Portia.

Jordan and Michael reflected on their past failed romances, with Michael contending that some relationships are doomed to fail and Jordan arguing that everyone is responsible for their own actions. Admiring her pragmatic outlook, Michael joked that he wanted Jordan to help him get his head on straight if he made the same old mistakes in his next relationship.

And All That Jazz

Portia was eager to wrap up her work day and get home, where Marshall was babysitting Desmond. She invited Isaiah to meet her at the house, and while she put the baby to bed, Isaiah and Marshall cleared the air about the former’s place in Des’s life. Portia was touched when she returned downstairs to find the men bonding over jazz music.
