Robert Kelker-Kelly, the late star of Days of our Lives (ex-Bo Brady) and General Hospital (ex-Stavros Cassadine), declined to seek medical attention in advance of his sudden death at the age of 62 despite experiencing chest pains, according to a police report obtained by Page Six.
New Details Emerge About Robert Kelker-Kelly’s Death
Kelker-Kelly died on October 3, 2026 at his home in St. Peters, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis.
Per the police report resulting from the routine investigation into his death, Allison Kelly — identified as the actor’s wife — shared with police that she picked her husband up from Spirit of St. Louis Airport at approximately 7:30 p.m. on the evening of his passing. Kelker-Kelly, who worked as a pilot, began to experience pain in his chest, neck and left arm on the drive back to their home.
Kelly explained to police that she asked her husband if he wanted her to drive him to the hospital. He declined.
Once they returned home, Kelly elaborated, her husband retreated to their bedroom, where he changed into a black T-shirt and grey boxers and lay down in bed. His pain persisted, so he asked Kelly to get him some aspirin. She fetched the medicine from the kitchen, and when she returned to the bedroom, she found Kelker-Kelly unresponsive.
Kelly dialed 911 to report that her husband was unconscious and not breathing, and she administered CPR to Kelker-Kelly while awaiting the arrival of paramedics.
Paramedics from the St. Charles County Ambulance District arrived at the home around 8:16 p.m., but the lifesaving measures they performed were unsuccessful. At 9:09 p.m., the actor was pronounced dead.
The police report also revealed that the St. Charles County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that no further investigation into Kelker-Kelly’s sudden death was necessary. Police classified the case as a “sudden death” and closed it
Kelker-Kelly began his soap career as artist Sam Fowler on Another World in 1987, becoming an even bigger star when he was tapped to succeed Peter Reckell as Bo Brady on DAYS from 1992-95. His final daytime role was GH’s Stavros Cassadine, which he last played in 2014.
