No Place Like Home
Gio was looking at flights to San Francisco to surprise Emma when she unexpectedly returned home. After he gave his distressed girlfriend a comforting hug, they settled in on the couch, and Emma filled him in on how awful it had been to tell her parents and brother about Anna’s breakdown. Then, when she and Robin got to France, Dr. Laurent wouldn’t even let them see her grandmother, adamant that their presence would be a setback. Gio was crushed when Emma added that seeing how upset the situation made her mom had made her consider moving back home to Berkeley. Not wanting to lose Emma, Gio offered to move to California with her, but was relieved to learn that Robin had convinced her to return to Port Charles. Then, Emma said she was supposed to arrive tomorrow but had gotten an earlier flight, and they laughed as Gio showed her that he’d been searching up flights on his phone. Embracing, the young couple then declared their love for one another for the first time, then made love.

The Best-Laid Plans
Carly told Valentin that she’d hit a snag in her efforts to explore Wyndemere because Lucas now knows Marco is involved in his father’s business and doesn’t want her anywhere near Sidwell. Valentin urged her to change Lucas’s mind, but Carly was worried about her brother’s safety since Lucas had confronted Marco with what he’d overheard, and she was sure Marco had blabbed to Sidwell. Declaring that their plan stood since there was nothing either of them could do, Valentin said that Lucas was on his own. If they brought Sidwell down and exposed Brennan, then maybe Lucas would get away unscathed, he added. Carly didn’t think that was good enough because she hadn’t given her brother all the information. She wanted to share what they knew with Lucas, but Valentin was convinced that Lucas would warn Marco, who would then warn Sidwell, so their only chance of helping Josslyn was to bring Sidwell and Jack down together. Carly wasn’t happy with the idea of Lucas being collateral damage, so Valentin asked her to give him a heads-up so he could go on the run if she did decide to share more details with Lucas. Agreeing to stick to their scheme, Carly declared that they would save both her daughter and her brother.

Sense And Sensibility
Molly met Cody at the Brown Dog Bar, where he shared that he’d read her manuscript and loved the story. Though grateful for the praise, Molly reiterated that she’d only written the book as a creative outlet and never intended for anyone, much less Cody, to read it. Cody noted that he liked how “Abigail” had changed her opinion of “Casey” by the end of the book, and they discussed the growth of both characters without acknowledging the similarities to their own relationship. Then, Cody shared that Kristina had been the one to convince him to read the book, and he didn’t think Molly should withhold publishing it just to spare his feelings because it was “really special” and deserved to be read. Molly was surprised to hear that Cody had read Pride and Prejudice with a book club he’d recently joined and was touched that the group had agreed to read her novel if she published it. Then, Cody paid their bill and said good-bye, but Molly called out after him — then ran over to kiss him.

Sounding Board
At G.H., Lucas confided in Elizabeth that his living situation was a work in progress, but he felt he and Marco would be okay. They were interrupted by Dante, who pulled Liz around the corner to talk about the time Willow spent living with her. She was surprised when Dante specifically asked about the day that Michael had gone to visit Willow and asked if he was hoping she’d give him evidence about Michael or Willow. At a loss, Dante revealed that he was just hoping for some clarity since the unsolved case was creating a lot of tension at the Quartermaine house, given that Chase seemed to feel the need to prove that Michael shot Drew and framed Willow. Musing that both Willow and Michael had the opportunity to put the gun in her guest room, Liz noted that Willow had been shattered when Michael took the kids upon his return to Germany. While she’d thought his actions had been harsh, it didn’t mean that he’d framed Willow for murder, she added. Then, she gently told Dante that he might have to accept that they might never know the truth.
When Dante conceded that she might be right, Elizabeth stated that in her experience, you can’t fix all the problems and heal all the wounds, so you just do your best and hope it’s enough, but the silver lining was that Wiley and Amelia had been reunited with their mom because Willow and Michael had reached a compromise. Thanking Liz for the advice, Dante acknowledged that he might not be able to fix what was happening between Michael and Chase, but would instead be grateful that Wiley and Amelia were okay. Wrapping up their conversation, Dante apologized profusely for dumping on her while she was at work, but Liz assured him that she was glad he had. As she walked back down the corridor, he insisted that he owed her one and would pay her back, but Liz shouted back that he was being ridiculous and should let it go. “I’m not sure that I want to,” Dante muttered to himself, smiling.

Danger Zone
While Carly was fretting over Lucas, her brother asked Ava to come to the hospital so he could tell her, away from Wyndemere, to keep her distance from Sidwell. Ava insisted that she was protecting her reputation and the gallery, but when Lucas said his concern was about her safety, Ava snarked that Carly had gotten to him. He claimed that he’d reconsidered his sister’s position and thought Carly had valid points since living at Wyndemere had opened his eyes to Sidwell’s dangerous side. Lucas sighed that he felt terrible for his part in whatever relationship Ava had developed with Sidwell, but it had to stop before she got hurt. Then, Lucas flashed back to Britt’s admission that Sidwell had murdered someone right in front of her. Ava noticed his darkened expression and asked if there was something she needed to know, but he claimed that there was nothing specific. Lucas added that if it weren’t for Marco, he wouldn’t spend any more time at Wyndemere than he absolutely had to and continued to try to convince his aunt that she didn’t have to either. Reminding Lucas that she’d dealt with dangerous men before, Ava assured her nephew that she could handle herself and advised him not to let his sister come between him and Marco, because she could see how happy he was with Marco after suffering years of heartache.

Baby Makes Three?
Chase took offense to Brook Lynn’s demand that he choose between pursuing Michael or adopting a baby, and she couldn’t understand why he was willing to risk the career that he loved just to nail her cousin. Chase maintained that he’d become a cop to protect the defenseless, but Brook Lynn argued that not only had Willow had the support of Drew and Nina, but the system worked in her favor because she’d been acquitted. In response, Chase raged that while Willow was technically not behind bars, Michael was still walking free and, due to his power and status, he would never be held accountable for what he did. “What you say he did,” Brook Lynn shot back. Chase fumed that he couldn’t stand by and watch that kind of injustice take place, and Brook Lynn noted that his inability to let justice prevail without personally moving it forward made him sound less like a cop and more like a vigilante with a vendetta against Michael.
Next, Chase acknowledged that he’d been consumed by the case, mainly because of how cruel Michael had been in keeping Amelia and Wiley from Willow. Brook Lynn pointed out how the situation was an example of how easy it was to lose perspective on what was important, and she didn’t want that to happen to them. She was relieved when her husband agreed that becoming parents was a priority and promised that nothing would stop them from adopting a child.

In This Together
During a rendezvous with Britt at their cabin hideaway, Jason told her that Cullum was on to them and filled her in on the meeting he’d had with the WBS director. Then, Britt shared that Cullum had come to her office with a timeline for her to deliver a working prototype based on her research — and she’d be a dead woman if she didn’t deliver. Britt added that in a perfect world, the cold fusion device would mean an endless supply of clean energy, but she was scared to think of the catastrophic damage Sidwell and Cullum could do with that kind of power. Once Sidwell got the components necessary to build the prototype, Britt explained, she’d try to slow down the fabrication process. When Jason mentioned that they still had to figure out how to get access to her medication, Britt told him how Lucas had offered to help on that front. Jason frowned that Lucas would be risking his life to do so, and Britt chuckled that if she were more noble, she’d refuse to make the prototype and run away with him, without her meds, and let her Huntington’s disease run its course. Replying that sacrificing herself was not an option, Jason promised they’d find another way to keep her alive and would figure something else out if Lucas was unable to come through with the meds. Britt smiled that she liked hearing him speak of them as a pair, and Jason vowed that they were in it together and he wasn’t going to leave her again.

Is Carly right to fear that Lucas will get hurt if she doesn’t share what she knows about Sidwell? Will Chase follow through on his promise to Brook Lynn? Is Dante starting to view Elizabeth as more than just a friend? Share your predictions about what will happen next on GH in the comments below!
