Laura asked Justine for an update on the investigation into Jordan’s car accident. When Justine shared that she was seeking a warrant for a potential suspect’s vehicle, Laura confided that Curtis had told her that he suspected Isaiah was the culprit. Justine said that Isaiah hadn’t been a suspect until Curtis mentioned him, but the paint on the guardrail came from the same type of car Isaiah drives. Plus, his whereabouts that night were unaccounted for. Still, Justine thought getting the warrant might be a long shot.

Both women noted they had a personal interest in the case through their friendships with Curtis and Jordan, and Laura worried that Curtis’s personal feelings for Isaiah were clouding his judgment. Laura admitted that she hoped Dr. Gannon wasn’t guilty because he’d saved Lulu’s life and was a close friend of Lucky’s. Justine asked if Laura was asking her to bury the idea of Isaiah’s involvement. Laura assured her that she felt Isaiah should be held accountable if he was to blame, she was just rooting for him to be exonerated and that they could find whoever was driving that car. Then, Justine received a text from a blocked number, asking her to meet at the studio apartment.
Home Sweet Home
Jordan packed up her room ahead of her discharge and Curtis was surprised to learn that Brick had visited her the night before and brought flowers. Jordan laughed it off, saying the other man was harmless. Liz came in to go over Jordan’s wound care routine. Once Jordan and Curtis got home, she griped about how much her life had changed because she had taken her eyes off the road for a split second. Curtis reminded her that the other driver shared some of the responsibility because they hadn’t stopped. When Jordan sighed that she wished they knew who the other driver was, Curtis said he believed he did.

Famous Last Words?
Elizabeth accepted Ric’s invitation to go away for a romantic weekend, then went to Laura’s office and asked her to check in on Aiden while she and Ric were out of town. Laura agreed but shared her concern that renewing her romance with Ric might not be wise, given that he’s now working with Sonny. Elizabeth assured her that Ric no longer held that anger towards his brother and was experiencing a new sense of peace. Liz smiled that this turnaround in Ric was why she was excited for whatever happened next in their relationship.

Trust Issues
At the pier, Ethan left a voicemail for his partner: Delilah, baby Phoebe’s late mom! In his message, he voiced his concern about her failure to show up at their meeting point or respond to his previous messages. Sonny then arrived, and Ethan told his boss about the intense conversation he had witnessed between Ric and Ava at the Metro Court Gardens, adding that after Ric left, Ava returned to Sidwell.

While Ethan had been too far away to hear what they were discussing, he suspected Ava had relayed a message from Ric to Sidwell that Ric didn’t want to deliver himself because of Lucy’s presence. Pointing out that Ethan didn’t like Ric, Sonny questioned why he should trust his interpretation. Ethan replied that Sonny wanting him to tail Ric indicated that Sonny also doubted his brother’s loyalty, insisting it was clear that Ric and Ava were conspiring.
Sonny warned Ethan not to make a move until he said so. After Ethan left, Sonny called Ric to meet him. Once his brother got there, Sonny told Ric that Ethan had passed the test and wanted to make sure the tension between them wouldn’t cause problems. He then asked Ric why he had run off so quickly the day before, and Ric claimed he had gone to a meeting at the D.A.’s office for a client who wasn’t Rocco. Ric promised that he’d never hold anything back when it came to Sonny’s grandson, but Sonny didn’t seem convinced.

Later, Ric called Ava and asked if she’d talked to “him,” then confirmed that he still wanted to go through with their plan — but it would have to be kept secret.
Liar, Liar
When Justine got to the apartment above Charlie’s, Sonny asked her if Ric had a meeting with anyone in the D.A.’s office the day before. After Justine confirmed with her office that no one there had a meeting with Ric, Sonny explained that his brother had spent years targeting his family but recently decided he wanted to repair their relationship. “Then I find out he lied to me again,” Sonny lamented. “And I’m just worried that he wants to finish what he started years ago.”
Partners In Crime
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn told Tracy that she’d heard from Curtis that the PCPD was closing in on a suspect in the car accident. Tracy again warned her granddaughter against turning herself in and Brook Lynn agreed that she could never come forward if she and Chase were going to adopt Phoebe. Tracy offered to use her Quartermaine connections to back the adoption, but Brook Lynn was hesitant because she hadn’t yet discussed her desire with Chase.

Brook Lynn met Chase and Phoebe at the boathouse, and the couple agreed they wanted to adopt their foster child. Brook Lynn filled Chase in on her conversation with Alexis about fighting the state for Phoebe and was worried that her checkered past might cause an issue during a background check. Chase promised her that they’d pull out all the stops — including her family connections and Congresswoman Willow’s support — to make Phoebe officially theirs.
Meanwhile, Tracy invited Ethan over. She tried to dissuade him from working for Sonny, not wanting to lose someone else she loved to Corinthos. Ethan insisted he could take care of himself. He then shared that the real reason he returned to Port Charles was that he was supposed to meet his partner there, but she hadn’t yet shown up. While Tracy was out dealing with a horse emergency, Brook Lynn and Chase returned to the house. Brook Lynn introduced her husband and foster daughter to Ethan. As the couple explained how they came to be Phoebe’s foster parents, Ethan tried not to have a visible reaction when Brook Lynn stated that all they knew about the birth mother was her name: Delilah Wilson.
