General Hospital Recap: Chase Walks Out on Brook Lynn as Jason Tries to Stop Anna from Killing Britt
On the Tuesday, September 8, episode of General Hospital, one big lie came to light as another was born. Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Chase (Josh Swickard) confronted Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) about Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) accident, Jason (Steve Burton) desperately tried to convince Anna (Finola Hughes) not to kill Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) lied to Drew (Cameron Mathison) to protect Rocco (Finn Carr), and more. Here’s everything that happened.
Cover Story
During the Quartermaines’ party, Trina confronted Brook Lynn about what she’d overheard between her and Chase. Brook Lynn admitted she was the other driver but insisted that she hadn’t seen any evidence of a crash. Brook Lynn apologized to Trina and Jordan, who remained outraged that she hadn’t come forward.
Tracy jumped in to defend her granddaughter, pointing out that Brook Lynn wasn’t responsible for causing the accident or Curtis punching Isaiah, but Trina contended that Brook Lynn said nothing while the Ashford family tore itself apart. Hissing that she was unable to be around any of the Quartermaines, Trina stormed out and Kai followed her.
Amid the arguing, Ned had entered the living room and asked about what was going on. Chase blasted Brook Lynn in front of the family, saying that once he suspected she knew more about the accident than she’d let on, he figured she was covering for someone in the family, never imagining that she was the other driver.
Brook Lynn chased her husband into the foyer when he stalked out. When Chase demanded to know why she hadn’t told him after they promised there would be no more secrets between them, Brook Lynn explained that she’d had a glass of wine that night and was terrified they’d lose Phoebe if she called the police. Furious that Brook Lynn framed Willow for what she did, Chase walked out on his wife — and went straight to the gatehouse.
Guilt By Association
Back in the living room, Gio railed at Tracy for helping Brook Lynn cover up her role in the accident, accusing them of learning nothing from what he’d gone through last year. He also questioned if Brook Lynn had set up the showcase for Trina out of guilt, but Ned was sure Brook Lynn believed in Gio and Trina’s talent. When Tracy said Brook Lynn tried to make amends as best she could, Gio denounced the family for the way they always hurt others and left with Emma in tow.
Ned found Brook Lynn crying on the foyer stairs. As her father hugged her, Brook Lynn wailed that she’d lost her husband.
Michael took Jordan down to the boathouse, supporting her as she worked through the emotions Brook Lynn’s confession brought up. Questioning how long Michael knew Brook Lynn was the other driver, Jordan asked if that was why he’d supported Curtis and named her temporary CEO. Michael replied that Curtis was his friend, and he respected Jordan’s business acumen.
Bullet Points
Out at the isolated property in Mount Emerson, Anna went vigilante on Britt and prepared to execute her. Britt tried to reason with Anna, but Peter appeared and goaded Anna to follow through. When Jason arrived, Anna cried that she’d wished he hadn’t come, then turned her gun on him and declared that she’d kill him if he got in her way.
As Anna held them both at gunpoint, Britt explained to Jason that Anna had tricked the staff at the mental institution and was unwell. Jason tried to get Anna to see that Britt was also a victim of Cullum, but Anna was resolute that Faison’s evil lived on in Britt, his last living child, so the only way to protect her family was for Britt to die.
In a last-ditch effort, Jason reminded Anna that Maxie’s kids, James and Bailey Lou, were also Faison’s family, and if she killed Britt, she’d become the cold-blooded killer Faison always wanted her to be. Peter again appeared, telling Anna not to let Jason confuse her, but a conflicted Anna began to crack as Jason begged her to beat Faison by handing over the gun.
Bite Sighs
Ava scrambled to avoid telling Isaiah how she picked up the tick and ended up blaming it on a random dog, which seemed to appease the doctor. Later, Isaiah was getting ready to leave the hospital with Portia when Trina and Kai arrived with the news that they knew who the other driver was in Curtis and Jordan’s accident.
Fast and Furious
Drew tracked Scout’s location to Sonny’s house, where she’d left her phone behind earlier. Furious to see Alexis there, Drew assumed Scout had sneaked out to see her and Danny and vowed they’d never see Scout again. Done trying to play nice, Alexis lashed out, telling Drew he had no one to blame but himself for Scout going behind his back. Before leaving, Drew swore that there would be legal consequences for whoever Scout was with. Frustrated that she’d gotten nowhere trying to appease Drew, Alexis declared to Sonny she’d see Scout in secret, and Sonny offered to help her.
Puppy Love
After sharing their first kiss, Rocco and Scout admitted they had feelings for each other but had been afraid to say anything and ruin their friendship. Realizing that Outback was missing, the kids tracked down the dog in the woods. Rocco got a call from Sonny, who warned him that Drew was looking for Scout and threatening to call the cops. Rocco drove Scout home, but she didn’t want him to come inside and give her father a reason for barring them from seeing one another.
Following her hospital visit, Ava went to Drew’s house but never got the chance to tell him about the tick because he was raging that Scout was missing and probably at the Quartermaines’. She pressed him not to call the sheriff because they didn’t need the authorities combing the Q property next to where they’d buried Brennan. Once Scout finally entered the house, Drew demanded to know if she’d been with Danny. To protect Rocco, Scout said yes.
