General Hospital Recap: Britt Seeks Out Jason, Pascal Nabs Josslyn and Kristina Goes Off on Willow!
Danger lurked at the Five Poppies while emotional connections deepened in Port Charles on the August 22 episode of General Hospital as Josslyn (Eden McCoy) realized Jason (Steve Burton) was in Croatia and found herself in big trouble, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) turned to Kristina (Kate Mansi) for help, and Cody (Josh Kelly) and Ava (Maura West) heated up. Plus, Laura (Genie Francis) tried to help Lulu (Alexa Havins) cope with her Maxie-related worry, and more. Read on to find out how it all went down!
Crush Groove
Outside of Bobbie’s, Michael assured Molly that she didn’t have to feel embarrassed about having a thing for Cody, telling her, “I am the master of inconvenient feelings.” As she spoke about Cody’s annoying qualities — and his endearing ones — it was clear to Michael that she definitely had feelings for Mac’s son. “I was afraid you were going to say that,” she sighed.
Molly worried she’d be a fool for pursuing anything with Cody. Michael agreed that Cody had a colorful past but noted how well he’d done in his work for the Quartermaines and that Tracy considered him a friend. Molly wanted to try to shake off her feelings and move on, but Michael didn’t think that was possible. He advised her to get out of her head and actually test the waters with Cody, suggesting that inviting him to coffee might help clarify how she felt.

At the stables, a shirtless Cody told Ava she was wrong about him and that he “wasn’t being a good guy when I came to your gallery to return your sunglasses.” Unfazed, Ava told Cody that she’d had an ulterior motive for encouraging his flirtation: making Ric jealous. Cody tried to come clean with Ava about deliberately trying to stoke the tension between her and Ric, but Ava kept cutting him off, noting that her only real incentive for staying with Ric was to drive Alexis and “her darling daughters” insane.
Ava railed against Ric, who she said was using her, and the sanctimonious Davis women. Cody came to Molly’s defense, and Ava scoffed that he’d just been taken in by her act. “She has the worst qualities of both her parents,” Ava claimed, reiterating her desire to stay with Ric to stick it to Molly and her family. Cody pointed out that there were better ways she could spend her time, and better people she could spend it with. Before long, they were passionately making out.
Molly showed up at the stables and called out for Cody. Opening the door to his room, she got an eyeful of Cody and Ava getting hot and heavy.

Rejection Notice
A shaken Nina spotted Willow from afar at the hospital. Ric emerged from the elevator and bumped into Liz, with whom he’d dined earlier. She thanked him for lunch and the pair watched as Nina approached Willow. Nina told her estranged daughter that she was only there to sit with Maxie’s family and didn’t intend to bother her. Willow ordered Nina to stay away from her. Nina walked off dejectedly.
Ric paused his efforts to try to get Liz to go to dinner with him to speak to Willow. Willow reported that she had yet to hear from HR about the incident with Lucas. Ric got a text he had to respond to, but before walking away, he reminded Willow how important it was to secure family members to serve as character witnesses for her to boost her chances of seeing her kids.
Ric met up with Nina (the person who had texted him) in the stairwell and chastised her for trying to talk to Willow, noting that they couldn’t risk the nurse having another public meltdown. Nina implored Ric to direct Willow not to speak to Drew again — even if it meant lying to her that associating with Drew would be frowned on by the courts.
Kristina arrived at G.H. with flowers for Maxie, which Liz said she would deliver. Willow requested a moment of Kristina’s time and begged her to speak on her behalf to the judge. Kristina wasn’t willing to go against Michael. Things got heated when Willow noted that Kristina had “almost” been a mother herself. Kristina hissed that if she did speak to the judge, it would be to say she didn’t think Willow should ever see Wiley and Amelia again. She revealed that she’d only been pretending to support Willow back when Willow was in control of Michael’s treatment. Willow appeared crushed. She tried to defend herself against Kristina’s accusations about being unfit to see the kids, but Kristina was unrelenting. “You are a terrible mother, Willow,” Kristina seethed. Fighting back tears, Willow darted off.

Desperate Times
Elizabeth intercepted Kristina and pulled her aside for a chat in which she pointedly reminded Kristina that like Willow, Kristina was capable of rash and extreme actions. “I would have thought that you would have a little empathy for Willow because she’s fighting to get her life back,” said Liz. She added that Kristina would be in the same boat if she had been forced to face the consequences of her actions — which she didn’t, because of the empathy Liz and others had shown her in not turning her in to the cops for cutting the brakes on Ric’s car.
Kristina wondered if Liz was attempting to blackmail her into serving as a character witness for Willow. Liz clarified she was just asking Kristina to consider Willow’s request. Kristina blustered that Michael retaining full custody was what was best for the kids. Liz said that she had showed Kristina some grace and was just asking her to pay it forward.
Liz exited to go back to work — and in the hallway, she overheard Willow leaving a message for Drew, telling him that she needed him to help her get her kids back.
Kristina returned home and had flashbacks to her past heated arguments with Ava and to her failed attempt to sabotage Ava’s car. There was a knock at the door and she answered it to find Ric on her mother’s doorstep.

A Mother’s Love
Laura dropped in on Lulu at Maxie’s place. Lulu fell into Laura’s loving arms as she confessed to being scared about Maxie’s prognosis and reflected on the years she herself had lost to a coma. Lulu remarked that while she didn’t have conscious memories of Laura, Maxie, Dante and her kids visiting her, she thinks she was able to feel their love. Laura urged her to have faith that Maxie would come back to them. Lulu felt like she only now was able to understand how hard it must have been on Laura, sitting at her bedside, never giving up hope. “I only hope I can have half the strength you do,” she told her mom.
Laura voiced her own pride in Lulu’s strength and assured Lulu that she would be able to be a “beacon of hope” for Maxie. “How is it that you are so wise?” beamed Lulu. “That is one of the universe’s great mysteries,” teased Laura.

History Repeats Itself?
Brennan went to Bobbie’s to assist Carly with the diner’s broken garbage disposal and they smooched before he got to work. Carly alerted him when a text came through on his phone. The message was from Colette. A pensive Brennan texted Colette for an update.
Once the appliance was fixed, Carly told Brennan that she was distracted because Maxie had been hospitalized. She filled him in on her “complex emotional connection” to Maxie because of Maxie having B.J.’s heart. Carly noted that losing one of her own children, Morgan, had given her insight into what her late mother, Bobbie, had gone through when B.J. died. Brennan praised Carly’s resilience. Carly noted that nothing was more important to her than her kids. Brennan looked conflicted when Carly brought up Josslyn.
Carly got emotional thinking about what Felicia was going through, having already lost her daughter Georgie. Carly shuddered at the thought of losing another child. “That would be the end of me,” she told Brennan. Brennan told her that would never happen.

The Moore, The Merrier
At the Five Poppies, Britt entered the garden and spied Jason, who was looking dapper in a white suit. Their eyes met. Jason then greeted his date, Greta (the courier who had delivered the backpack to Britt). Britt was confused, to say the least, and eavesdropped as “John Moore” (the alias Jason was using) shared with Greta that he was at the resort on vacation from his job as a contractor for ELQ.
Pascal came up from behind and grabbed Britt’s arm, demanding to know what she was doing. As he dragged her off, Britt ordered Pascal to “peel Greta off of that guy and send her back to Port Charles.” Pascal explained that he had asked Greta to make the acquaintance of “Mr. Moore” and suss him out, as the WSB had infiltrated the resort. “How do you know that?” gasped Britt. “We have sources everywhere,” he told her. Britt grew concerned for Jason’s safety when Pascal disclosed that as an extra precaution, he had ordered a security sweep on all the guests.
Jason returned to his room and was surprised to hear a knock at his door. He answered it to find Britt.

Over And Out
In their villa, Vaughn warned Josslyn that they were out of time to look for Britt. Vaughn regretted not having informed Brennan about the assassin, but Joss remained determined to scour the premises further until they found Britt. “We cannot leave here without a lead,” she insisted. Vaughn wouldn’t budge, so she left him in the villa to call Brennan while she did another sweep of the grounds.
Josslyn arrived at the gardens and couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw Jason with Greta. She quickly hid so he wouldn’t spot her, then rushed back to the villa. Finding it empty, she called out Vaughn’s name. Suddenly, she realized she wasn’t alone. Pascal, brandishing a gun, was standing there. In a menacing tone, he told her that if she was looking for her husband, “otherwise known as Agent Vaughn,” he would be happy to reunite them.
