General Hospital Recap: Britt Rats Out Josslyn to Cassius, Jack Suspects Carly is Cheating
On General Hospital on Thursday, April 30, several seeds were planted and a major revelation came to light. Carly (Laura Wright) promised Lucas (Van Hansis) she had things under control with her other man, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) successfully got inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) head, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Ric (Rick Hearst) tested Ethan’s (Nathan Dean) loyalty, Lucy (Lynn Herring) purposely provoked Ava (Maura West) over Jenz (Carlo Rota), and after Liesl (Kathleen Gati) called a family meeting, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) dropped a bombshell on Cassius (Ryan Paevey).
Stranger Danger
Sensing Carly’s panic when he let himself into her house, Lucas gave his sister a hard time about her mystery lover. Knowing that Carly was drawn to dangerous men, Lucas begged her to end the relationship, professing that he didn’t want to lose his sister on the heels of losing Marco. Carly insisted that while yes, the man she was secretly seeing was dangerous, he also protected her. Lucas wondered what Brennan would do if he learned she was cheating on him, and Carly insisted she’d handle things if it came to that — with the help of her mystery man. Unconvinced, Lucas warned that Jack had the resources to ruin her life, but Carly proclaimed she’d make sure Jack never found out.

Three’s A Crowd
At the Metro Court Gardens, Ethan briefly spied on Lucy as she crashed Ava and Sidwell’s date and bickered with the other woman. When Jenz stepped away from the table, Lucy needled Ava about which one of them was better suited for him. Just like Lucy had hoped, Ava huffed that she’d speak with Jenz about walking away from Deception. Once Jenz rejoined them, Lucy questioned an abundance of zincite crystal that had been delivered to Deception, but before he could respond, Ava butted in to say that he shouldn’t have to discuss business matters during his leisure time.

Test Score
In the office at Puzullo’s, Ric shared his concern with Sonny that Ethan could be bought by Sidwell and suggested his brother test their new hire by offering him a payoff to leave town. Ethan then arrived to report that he’d seen Lucy with Ava and Sidwell at the Metro Court Gardens, and the vibe was tense. When Ric questioned why Sonny was tailing Lucy, Sonny played up the details that Lucy was working to double-cross Sidwell and cut him out of Deception for Ethan’s benefit. After Ric left, Sonny presented his offer for Ethan to leave town in exchange or cash. Ethan turned him down, realizing that Sonny was trying to test him. Declaring that he trusted Ethan, Sonny assigned him more work.

Cheat Sheet
Over in Jack’s room at the Metro Court, Josslyn dropped the bombshell that her mother was seeing someone else. Jack accused Josslyn of trying to drive a wedge between him and Carly because he’d demoted her to sleeper status, but Joss retorted that her mother had never forgiven him for letting her get so close to Vaughn. Jason’s arrest by the WSB was another betrayal, she added. Trying to cover up how bothered he was, Jack asked Josslyn for proof that Carly was having an affair. Joss said that she didn’t know the other man’s name, but made a persuasive argument in support of her theory by pointing out the recent changes in her mother’s behavior.
Once Josslyn left, Jack reflected on his relationship with Carly and recalled the times he’d caught her in seemingly innocuous lies. Realizing that Josslyn might be right, Jack went to see Sonny at the restaurant and asked if he’d caught Carly in any lies recently. Sonny picked up on Jack’s jealousy and snickered that maybe Carly had wised up and figured out that Brennan was bad news.

Staying Put
Back at the Metro Court Gardens, Ric approached Lucy, Jenz, and Ava’s table and pulled Ava away to speak privately. Having returned to the restaurant, Ethan hid behind a wall and grew suspicious when he spotted Ric and Ava talking. Meanwhile, Lucy offered to take Deception off Sidwell’s plate, but he made it clear that he had no intention of parting ways with the cosmetics company.
Party Pooper
Liesl gathered “Nathan,” Britt, and Nina at the Crimson office to plan a party for James’s karate achievement, wanting her grandson to build more memories with his father. Once alone with Britt, Liesl told her daughter that Josslyn had been asking questions about Nathan and Faison, and also filled her in on Felicia asking her to go to France to convince Anna that her hallucinations about Cesar were not real. Both revelations worried Britt, who grew even more concerned when Liesl relayed that Josslyn had implied Nathan’s death and reappearance were not what they seemed. As her mother raved about how miraculous it was that they had Nathan back, it dawned on Britt that Josslyn might be on to Cassius being an impostor.

Fishing Expedition
After leaving Jack, Josslyn went to Crimson to continue her independent investigation into Nathan. Under the guise of wanting to ask Nathan to be her permanent workout partner, Joss pressed Nina for info about her brother. Nina assumed Joss had a crush on him, so Joss declared she’d never come between Nathan and Lulu, but noted she had been surprised that Nathan didn’t reunite with Maxie when she came out of her coma. Nina defended Nathan, insisting he had gallantly stepped aside so as not to disrupt the life Maxie had established with Spinelli. Joss fished for info about Maxie and Nathan’s love story, and Nina shared the tale of Nathan and Maxie getting handcuffed together on the Fourth of July. Nina noted how that was the turning point in them becoming more than friends. “You should see the look in my brother’s eyes when he tells that story,” gushed Nina, who confided that she believed Nathan had never stopped loving Maxie and never would. Joss seemed to file that info away….

Inquiring Minds
Britt summoned Cassius to her office, where she warned her brother that someone was asking questions about him. Cassius told Britt he knew it was Josslyn and recounted his encounter with her at the gym, insisting he’d handled it. Britt countered that his entire cover relied on people believing that Nathan had suddenly reappeared with no memory, but it was going to fall apart. Cassius shrugged off her concern, scoffing he wasn’t worried because Josslyn was just a ditzy sorority girl. Britt snapped back that he should be worried, because Josslyn was actually a WSB agent!
