General Hospital Recap: Anna Learns Her Fate and Charlotte is Busted
On General Hospital on Monday, September 21, Charlotte’s (Bluesy Burke) plan to set up Drew (Cameron Mathison) was foiled while Carly (Laura Wright) told Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) about his daughter’s antics, Anna (Finola Hughes) blamed herself for Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) breakup, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) tried to make a deal with Agent Baines (Alimi Ballard), Cody (Josh Kelly) had words of wisdom for Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), and more. Here’s everything that happened.
Scratch My Back
Willow summoned Valentin to her office for advice on how to pressure the WSB to release her mother, insisting that Nina had been framed. Valentin correctly guessed that Willow suspected Drew had set Nina up, but Willow didn’t confirm or deny his theory. Valentin warned Willow that offering Drew as an alternate suspect wasn’t enough to get the WSB to release Nina; the bureau would be more inclined to help her if she did something to help them.
Later, Willow met with Agent Baines and asked what the WSB needed from her to ensure that her mother was returned to Port Charles immediately.
Been There, Done That
Charlotte was surprised when Scout and Rocco — who’d been tipped off via from Danny — found her in Drew’s car. She explained her blackmail plan to Rocco and tried to convince him to get Scout to leave when Carly showed up. Charlotte tried to cover, but Rocco piped in with the truth: Charlotte had tried to trap Drew and film a video of them kissing to use as blackmail.
Carly brought Charlotte upstairs to her office and told the teen she understood her scheme because she would have done the same thing once upon a time. After filling Charlotte in about her own promiscuous past and the mistakes she’d made, Charlotte promised she wouldn’t try to trap Drew again and asked Carly not to tell her father. Carly called Valentin over anyway, and when Charlotte wouldn’t tell him the truth, Carly announced that his daughter had broken into Drew’s car.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered
Anna invited Jason over and shared her belief that the WSB was going to take her to one of their treatment facilities. If that happened, she wanted Jason to explain to Emma and Josslyn exactly what she’d done to Britt, so Emma wouldn’t blame Joss and Joss wouldn’t blame herself for reporting the incident to the bureau.
Chief Baines showed up and informed Anna that since she wasn’t an active agent, she could stay in Port Charles to work with Dr. Nichols. She just had to sign an NDA that she wouldn’t go public with what happened to her over the last year. Jason questioned why the WSB wanted Anna to keep quiet about a rogue agent working on a cold fusion device, but a grateful Anna quickly signed the contract.
Before leaving, Baines dropped a veiled threat to Jason, saying that the WSB was glad he was enjoying his freedom and trusted that he’d be available if they needed him again.
Relieved that she wouldn’t have to leave town, Anna asked Jason to thank Britt for not pressing charges. He revealed that they’d broken up. Anna felt responsible, but Jason insisted that it wasn’t Anna’s fault. While he loved Britt, he didn’t believe her story that she’d tried to rescue Anna, and he couldn’t be with someone he didn’t trust.
The Long Game
Tracy caught Danny trying to take her car and added chores to his to-do list. Desperate to get to Charlotte, Danny asked Cody to borrow his truck for an emergency but backed off after Rocco texted that he and Scout had found Charlotte.
As they worked in the stables, Danny opened up to Cody about the distance in his friendship with Rocco, how grateful he was to have Charlotte as his best friend, and his frustrations that Drew wouldn’t let him see his sister. Cody recommended that, rather than fighting with Drew, Danny play by the rules, because that would make Drew look like the bad guy in the long run.
Mad About You
Scout told Rocco that she didn’t believe Charlotte’s story about wanting to blackmail Drew to help her and Danny. She was sick of everyone using her as an excuse to go after her father because it fed a cycle of Drew getting overprotective and her lying to her father about something she shouldn’t have to, like hanging out with Rocco. Scout and Rocco expressed how glad they were to have one another amid all the crazy drama surrounding them.
Bet On Yourself
Isaiah ran into a glum Britt in the break room at G.H. Without naming Anna, she said she’d known someone was being held against their will on Spoon Island, but waited too long to help because she’d been in survival mode herself. Britt added that she had really wanted to help that person, but Jason didn’t believe her, so they’d broken up. Isaiah believed Britt had the right intentions, and opined that if Jason couldn’t take her at her word, then she was better off without him.
