Emmy-Winning Daytime Producer Lisa de Cazotte Passes Away

Emmy award-winning producer Lisa de Cazotte passed away on December 7 at the age of 58 after a long illness. Born Lisa Smith in Westchester, NY on November 2, she was the youngest child and only daughter of Charles Smith and Beatrice Smith. She was raised in Dobbs Ferry, NY and graduated from Fordham University. She began her  daytime career straight out of college as an intern on ONE LIFE TO LIVE,  where she moved up the ranks to Associate, then Coordinating Producer.  She went on to work as Producer then Supervising Producer on NBC’s SANTA BARBARA, then ALL MY CHILDREN before being named Supervising Producer of SUNSET BEACH. In 1999, de Cazotte was named Executive Producer of  PASSIONS, where she remained for the run of show until 2008. In 2012, de Cazotte was named Co-Executive Producer of DAYS, where she won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series.  In 2017, she became Supervising Producer Y&R,  where she won her third Emmy. De Cazotte was still producing the Sony/CBS show at the time of her passing. In addition to her husband, Antoine de Cazotte, her survivors include brothers Michael Patrick Smith, Robert Terence Smith, and Brian Charles Smith as well as nieces and nephews Robert Terence Smith, Jr., Christine Smith, Bridget Smith, Sean Smith and Brian Smith.
